A tense confrontation erupted between former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, and police officers at the National Assembly.

In a viral video on Tuesday, Amaechi, a former Transportation Minister, could be seen engaging in a shouting match with police operatives.

Amaechi, who attended the protest with his son – a medical doctor – said he brought him along in case the demonstration turns violent and injuries are sustained.

He explained that he came with his son to demonstrate his belief that during major protests, leaders should be at the forefront with their families.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain called on Nigerians to rise up, adding that all opposition parties ought to be on the streets to protest the Senate’s decision.

Amaechi alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is opposed to electronic transmission of election results because it fears losing elections.

Ali Ndume is an enemy of progress, having failed to get the bills withdrawn, he is proposing a further reduction in the VAT derivation.
The current derivation is 20%, the President proposes 60%, the Governors are proposing 30% , Ali Ndume is proposing 10% -13%.
When a state generates income and receives 60% of it , what's wrong in that? but Governors are saying any state that generates income should collect only 30% while they share the remaining among themselves, even more sad..
is the illiterate Ali Ndume suggesting a mere 10% as derivation while they sit their lazy ass to share the rest. We are patiently waiting for the public hearing and what the Senate will finally pass into law.

ICPC level 8 monthly take home is 398k after all the deductions. When it comes to basic salary EFCC,NFIU and ICPC are the highest in Nigeria.

Level 12 are earning more than 1M per month.

Contentment is the key.
With 398k salary I can do a lot knowing that 80% of federal government workers are not earning that. Always look at those below you not above you if not you’ll never be satisfied with what you have.
