no village is backward in south east - pls am not bragging am just saying it as it - if you are in doubt, use google map and locate any village in south east and see for yourself.

they all have at least 75% tarred road, nice well build houses, serene, clean and nice highly breathable fresh air, no pipe borne water but you will see boreholes almost everywhere - families without borehole have free access to majority of boreholes situated at strategic locations.

IT IS NOT YET PARADISE BUT MEN FORGET THE BAD PRESS - WE ARE GRADUALLY BUT SURELY GETTING THERE.

I cannot think of any mud house in my village. It’s will be a very rare sight.

it is only fools that will think sowore and kanu are working alone.some international power brokers are using them.

Nobody’s using them.

Sowore is fighting for one Nigeria that is fair and works for everyone especially the youths.

Nnamdi Kanu is fighting for the eventual exit of Biafra from this unworkable forced union.

They both agreed to disagree on those views but Sowore believe that if Nigeria is working for everyone in a fair and just way, then Biafrans will decide to stay.

Even though they both disagree, they did develop a friendship and understanding after their meetings.

A man whom the allmigty america can leak their secretet., just think of it.

It means that he is busy doing a lot of work behind the scene while some hopeless Nigerians are busy talking bad about him on Nairaland.

I believe Nnamdi Kanu has insider information through his connections with some US senators.

He was invited to the US Congress few months ago. I don’t think it’s divine powers as some people might like to believe.

This picture below is for the doubters. There are many videos on YouTube of him walking on the hallway of US Congress with some senators and later giving a speech to them.

Like somebody asked "how can an individual participate?"

To inquire about investing in EEC, call +234 803 423 0455

Email: info@eecdgroup.com

They have various sectors that they want investments such as manufacturing facilities and infrastructures. They might be offering shares but I haven’t inquired personally.

The north will continue to run this country until oil dries up or becomes worthless. That were they will eventually face serious problems.

They won’t know how to run a non-oil dependent economy. They have gotten so used to having access to easy flow of oil.

You have to be very creative and smart to run a modern and non oil dependent economy. In such an economy, religion is the last thing on your mind.

So, how come oil companies in oil producing states have offices in Lagos & Abuja, still pay tax of absolutely no reason to Lagos & Abuja?
If the oil producing states behave like you, major oil servicing companies will leave Lagos.
Now it's your Lagos?
Selfishness

Exactly! These people are extremely selfish. They want to have it both ways. They are in for a rude awakening in the coming years.

This is gonna be interesting!

Now you know how the ND people feel about being the ones generating over 80% of the revenue in the country. GENERATED FROM THEIR OWN LANDS.

For useless advantages of being appointed FIRS chairman and etc the southwest kinda sold out to allow this dullard rule us again. Now the advantage has been turned on its head the tiger has began to target its supporters.

If Tinubu had aligned with the ss, se we probably wouldn't be here today.

We would have had a better chance of achieving restructuring for this country without this tyrant in power.

Selfishness will never get us anywhere. The sw would thrive better without the present leadership.

Its obvious this report regardless of whether its true or not is a witch hunt. Na only sw no dey remit tax for this country? Tell me another story abeg.

They want to eat their cake and also have its. They want to have it both ways. They think the rest of us are stupid.

The good thing is that EEC doesn’t depend on government. It’s a private initiative. Government just has shares.

Modified : I just read that update from Anambralstson. You can check it too. It has some much needed information.

It states that there'll be underground cables. But it didn't say if it's power cables or radio lines.

Horsepower101

Yeah I already knew that AMC will have underground cables. What I still don’t know is the source of their main power supply. You cannot power a mini city with generators or depend on regular NEPA.

At least with EEC, they have geometric for dependable 24 hour power supply.

Though it's virtually thrice as costly, if we're looking at truly meeting up with the modern times as is obtainable in America etc then this new cities should be designed with a consideration to Undergrounding. Most modern cities don't have power lines hanging overhead. It's outdated.

I hope so too. All you and I can do now is to wait and see as the project unfolds. Hopefully they can give us further updates on their infrastructural plans.

Okay. That said we can assume with a degree of certainty Geometric will invest in Overhead powerlines, true?

Certainly, and Barth Nnaji is one of the share holders in EEC company so he will work out the logistics for power.

I will keep dropping suggestions as they spring up in my mind.

How capable are we and how feasible is Undergrounding for our power distribution in such modern cities?

cc Anambralstson, Horsepower101, AnambraQuarter

With the Awka millennium city, I am not sure but with the Enyimba economic city, Geometric power plant will supply them power. They have already signed power purchase agreement with Enyimba Economic City company. I read all the plans carefully.

I am yet to find and read any detailed plan for Awka Millennium city when it comes to their power supply.

Noted
Is there a designated central business district ,and are there zoning laws and building codes on what to build and where? All I see on the pics are houses and structures littered everywhere. Some structures may have to be demolished later .
The blue high-rise hospital could have been built at a designated business district .

I tried to download the information for the official Awka capital territory masterplan so you can read it but the website is down. The last time I looked at the masterplan was back in 2016. Within the zone, there is a particular section that they marked out to build a modern business district.

This particular project is close to the central business district designated area but it’s not the district itself.

My jaw dropped when I saw the Enyimba industrial city has a time frame of 20-25 years for completion. Will this millennium city be something similar?

Enyimba EC is broken down into 3 major phases with each phase taking roughly 5 years.

Construction for phase 1 starts in June 2020. Please visit their website to verify what I am saying. They released their official construction time table this month.

As for Awka millennium city, it will take only 30 months. Phase 1 of the project will take 18 months.

Finally you need to understand the massive size of Enyimba EC. Imagine combining Owerri and Aba into one city. That’s the scale we are talking about. Enyimba economic city will be massive.

Nigerians sure love titles - His honorable, excellency, Chief ,doctor, Governor general Willie Obiano ( PhD BSc)

When I heard "City" I actually had the images below in mind. All I see is a housing development ,not city. Nigerians really need to stop being so extra .Why not simply say "housing development"instead of City? We all know what we imagine as city in today's world when the US ,China or UAE say a new city is being built. .
Also ,if the project is private , why does the governor have to commission it? That tradition needs to stop.

It’s still a city but it will start out as a very small city then expand over the coming years. It falls inline with the Awka city master plan.

This investment is just the first out of other in the Awka capital territory.

Many more adjacent cities will be added next to this one in the coming years.
