Obaseki locked up Shaba another big time political thug in Benin. This is somebody who feels he is untouchable. They couldn't even arrest him when they wanted to. The Governor personally came by himself to Shaba's house with security operatives to pick him up. They said they found arms and ammunition in his office and remanded him in prison. This is somebody who was close to the Governor. There are countless pictures of them together online but when he overstepped his boundaries, he was humbled. Bottom line, anything can happen.

In my own experience, been married to my wife for 5 years now, lived together for 7 years in total and known each other for 19 years. You would think all will be soooo smooth. Right? Wrong!

When we started living together, it was WAR. My wife is super stubborn and always likes to have the last and final say. Me, I had anger issues, the results was chaos.

My wife has a PhD in packing her bags, small quarrel, kpam, five minutes, all her load don ready near door. Give me transport, I am leaving. Friends o, family, pastor, landlord, neighbors nobody wey no settle us that time.

I love my wife to the moon and back. So I adapted. Regardless of who is right or wrong, I make peace, she will smile and wahala end. Over the years, I learnt that one person must give in when arguments or misunderstandings arise. Worst case scenario meet half way.

If you must have your way, come rain come shine, cannot apologize when you are wrong, cannot look at the big picture, the picture you had in your mind when you said I do, cannot sacrifice for the greater good, wahala dey o, dat marriage is going nowhere.

This kind thing go sweet for naija o. Imagine say dem tie all those thieving politicians with their agbada and pot bellies come dey drag dem, dey flog dem. Flogging go just dey go on everywhere, for maitama, asokoro, Ikeja o, IKOYI o, all of dem go dey hide. No senator, house of rep o, all those ole directors go gree go work, Dem go hide for their BQ. Mad thieves!

This is the real meaning of assumption.

If you can afford any of these cars, you won't be thinking of police/ military check point issues. Your life don pass that one already.

Used to have this issue until I saw someone slap a bike man and he slumped, like play like play the bike man didn't get up again, police carried the "slapper" and the corpse away.

When the anger comes up, think of the results of your anger based actions which are most times destructive.

Finally an old lady once gave me a tip which has always worked for me, mind you I didn't know this person. We met on the way, she accosted me and told me I should always drink water when I get angry. It has helped a lot.

1. A friend and i were standing at a junction at auchi, we saw 2 known cults guys ride past us on a bike. Their cult was having issues with another cult and they had been sent to spy on the others who were gathered at a spot down the road. Unfortunately for them, the bike man who carried them was a member of the rival cult and simply rode them right into the midst of their enemies. Long story short, one had a wrist chopped off and a gaping hole in his forehead from a gun shot, the other had charms so they couldn't kill him with a gun or machete so the used a propeller lying around to smash his head. We went to the look at the corpses after the police dumped them at general hospital, couldn't eat meat for a long time.

2. Got detained at state CID Benin, shipped there from Auchi Poly, 25 of us. Spent 11 days there and was lucky enough to be the first to get out. Those 11 days seemed like a year. Most mornings, very early, the CID guys would call out people, take them right behind the cell and ask them if there was anything they could get for them as their last wish, some asked for cigarettes, some nothing, either way their heads got blown off. I can't count the number of guys i met in that hell hole who didn't make it out alive. Guys who had realized their mistakes, who prayed and wept during morning devotion, some were lucky, some weren't. It was then i realized, the true value of life, the value of freedom. To be able to get up and walk out a door and breathe fresh air without the aura of death or the sword of Damocles hanging over your head, O boy go do thanksgiving!

My traumatic experiences growing up are much, bad decisions, bad friends and youthful exuberance nearly sent me to the great beyond, but God saw me through. i thank Him for his grace and Mercies.
