Haha @Efani, u've talked like ma lil cuzzin when he was 6. According to him (his mother is african american by da way), he said he wants to marry a white woman not because he wants his kids to be mixed or anything but for himself to be light skinned and he is fair already, lol, to da topic, Nigerian men do marry white woman, I know of alot here, infact, one is my neighbour and they have been married for 15 years with to handsome boys. But here in Toronto per se, its mostly with Enugu State men |

Hello everyone, I am really in trouble ohhhh. I am trying to draft a cover letter to go with my CV. I am yet to graduate next year spring but I want to start sending my CV to organizations in Nigeria asking them if I can volunteer in their org. for 4-6 months after ma graduation so like to start sept. 07. I want to do this in Nigeria to get experience and exposure before working. meanwhile, while am volunteering, I will be giving away my CV as in looking for a job. Now, I have drafted something but I need help with proof reading and editing, add and remove something if you wish. English is not ma thing. Thanks people. Here is my version (nobody should laugh) I am currently a final year student of Political Science at York University, Toronto Canada who is extremely interested in volunteering for your organization come September 2007. I excel in academics particularly in art courses. I am confident and believe that with my education and experience, I can apply my skills and knowledge in your organization thereby gaining experience. Apart from academics, I am an active member of my school community and my own community. I have been on sit as the secretary of Nigerian Students’ Association (NSA) at York University for two consecutive years. I am a member of numerous organizations within school and my community like Albion Boys and Girls Club, York University Black Students’ Alliance (YUBSA), International Development Studies (IDS) and Igbo Youth Association, Toronto, Canada. I am currently a Student Ambassador at my school. Furthermore, in respect to my volunteering experience, I was named the Volunteer of the year in 2002 at Heritage Skills Development Centre (HSDC) a Non- Governmental Organization whose mandate is helping new immigrants especially women and At-Risk youths for my hard work. Because of my hard work and dedication with Heritage Skills Development Centre, I have worked there for five years now during my summer break. I am an active volunteer student at my school where I have volunteered at events like Multicultural, March Gala, to mention a few. In high school, I volunteered by tutoring grade 10 and 11 Math and English classes to non speaking English students by helping them with their homework. Though I am currently a few months away from being a graduate, I am confident in the fact that my credentials and abilities make me a strong candidate to volunteer for a reputable organization like yours. For further information, please contact me at (ma phone number) or (e-mail). I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you Yours Truly My name |
I know ehh, because even when I speak igbo, people keeps correcting me because I learnt igbo so i speak as I know and they laugh of their heads and diff. dialects 2, hahahahahaa, even within like Anambra 4 example. towns have their own way of speaking, I think da way nnewi dialect is is soooo sexy, lol, just hear how they say " itz not u am talking 2" or don't mind him/her", diz 2 are da ones I can say and I wish I can write it out but ma igbo is distrubing me really, |
