The Lords
After sometimes, I fully regained my sight. I could clearly see what my captors look like. They were giant with huge heads inform of egg shape. On this gigantic heads are two tiny eyes and a large red eye at the center of the fore-head. Their legs were human like, but long thin foot digits. They were tall and green. At first I was scared, but the environment got my full attention. I was in a city built with shiny metal which I did not hesitate to call gold. These beings could fly and walk.

They do not talk to each other, but they interact meaningfully. This was what baffles me most. I was among thousands of people without a single sound of word. Everywhere was as quiet as a grave. There was peace and silence everywhere. I noticed these beings were in different forms and sizes. I noticed some are dark skin with smaller head but hands with claws like that of eagle. Some of them are gigantic and walk on four legs. They are reptile with huge teeth and long tails.

I later realized they are domestic animals of that world because their keepers feed them with meats of smaller animals. I saw different flat metallic object in the shape of eggs in different sizes, flying above. I noticed they have a form of light I have never seen. The only light I knew of was from atupa we made from palm oil and fur. But these lights were bright, and they are in different color. Then I said to myself “This witchcraft is out of this world”.

I started gaining distance from her, but I release my breath intermittently to breath-in fresh air and it sensed it and makes some random moves to try and detect where I was. Then I later realized there is no escaping this nemesis. It would not stop tracing me and I could not survive not breathing for long. Suddenly, I lost it. It appeared to have backed off.

I breathe a breath of freedom and I continued my journey. It was too late to realize my mistake of lowering my guard. I suddenly felt a bite at my back. It sunk its teeth in my flesh from my back. Then, I saw a beam of light radiating from the distance. This beam of light was so white that I became blind. My sight whitened up. I noticed the beast did not expect this surprise too. It withdrew its grip on me and raced away. I felt some hands pinning me down.

I was not sure what or who they were. But they were large hands, larger than any man I had ever encountered. I did not struggle with them, they took me and started pushing me towards the light. I started walking towards the light. I noticed the light was actually a door way to another dimension. That marks the moment when I started doubting my beliefs. I started questioning what I have been told, what all humans like me knew. As I walk towards the light, the intensity of the light started reducing and I started regaining my sight. Soon, I realized I was in another world or what I called “a new dimension”.

Story continued....

I quickly sprint to the back of one tree, then I tried the magic out. I seized my breath, then I noticed it stopped immediately as if it encountered something frightening. I was not sure of what happened, I continued breathing again and it ran towards me as if it was sure I was at the back of the tree. Without delay, I seized my breast with panic again, it stopped again. Then I said to myself “That is it. Very simple”. I started walking. Then realize this beast is actually blind, it listens to breath to pinpoint the location of its victim.
I ran away and hide under a clumsy palm tree. Then to my surprise, it started talking like humans. It has a sweet female voice. She started cursing out.

Where is that filthy little scoundrel?
Nasty little filth
an unfortunate being!
You think you can hide?
Cursed be with you!
You shall not find peace
you shall not escape your destiny. Hopeless one!
Your bones shall be crushed to make poisonous potions
your meat shall be fed to the gods of the seven heavens
your soul shall burn in “Ogbun Ainise” (the unending burning pit”
aaaah (cried, curse and consoled itself.)

Seizing my breath
I heard something rattling a densely packed bush to my left. I first thought it might be a wild animal. I said to myself “Omoye, what do you expect to see in the forest?” I did not bother to investigate as I knew I was not seeing clearly, whatever it was has an optical advantage over me and moreover, it will understand that terrain more than I do. I just kept walking. To my dismay, whatever it is, kept walking towards me. Then I thought to myself, this must be a carnivorous animal trying out its luck.

I decided to let it know I am also a danger by turning back and posing in a combat mode. Then, it started moving fast towards me. At a stone throw to me, I was able to see it clearly through the faint moon light rising. What I saw made my heart jumped. It was as if my heart will jump out through my mouth. It was not what I could called animal. It was standing on two legs. The legs were goat legs. It has human feminine body, covered in fur. Its eyes were glowing in the dark like cat’s eye. It has a dog’s head and horns like antelope. I said to myself “What abomination is this?”

I ran for my dear life. It chased me like I ever been chased in my life. The terrain and clustered bush did not help, as I had to bump and fall constantly. I struggled through tangles of plant stems for close to 30 minutes. I asked myself, how could I possible escape this nemesis? When all hope was lost, I remembered the moonlight tales they tell to children in the night about Ghosts and monsters. I remembered an account of a hunter’s escape from ghost where he said he escaped by seizing his own breath.

I picked up a sharp cutlass and decided to leave the house before I cause them another trouble. I stumbled on a hip of sand. It was a freshly made grave. I was trying to decide whose grave it was when it occurred to me that it was mine. To my family, I was a dead man. That was when I realized I was dead to them. I cried blood and I walked away. Absently minded, I kept walking towards the outskirt of the village. I was walking towards the rocky village of Igbeti. Everywhere was dark. I struggled with the tick forest. I kept missing my way. After enduring the nervy trek for an hour, something strange happened.

I was not alone in the dungeon. Some condemned or yet to be judged criminals were also with me. I could see them thinly fleshed. I sensed they were not fed or were malnourished. Something uncommon started happening to me. The sight of these carcass filled humans made me change my mind on my suicide mission. Hunger is my nemesis. I fear hunger than a lion. My fear came back in folds. It was as if I was charmed and the charm effect was gone. I became apprehensive. Is this how I will not eat for the remaining days of my life? I started struggling with my bondage.

I tried to free myself off the rope. Then an old man sitting lifelessly at the other end of the room said “Young man. I know who you are. It is true that you cannot cheat your destiny, but, you have choices. The choice you make now, can influence your destiny. I made my choice long time ago. Despite knowing how to free myself from this bondage, I choose to remain in the bondage. It is better for some us to be in bondage than to live freely among people.” The sound of knowing how to escape rang like a bell in my head. I quickly asked “Is it possible to escape this fortified dungeon?” He replied “How to escape should not be your question. Perhaps, you should be asking another question. The question of why am I here? Where am I going? You have your purpose, but not in this village. You were created by the creator for a purpose, you are a tool.

That’s why your birth is controversial. You will get the answers soon if you make the right choice”. I asked “What are my choices?” He answered “Either to be free or not to”. That was a pretty simple choice for any man. I said “just like that? Of course that is why I was trying to break this rope”. He said “Breaking from a rope does not amount to freedom. A rope does not put you in bondage, your mentality does. The choice I am talking about requires your mental change and readiness for the path before you. You can continue being a vagabond that you are or give hope to the world”. It was as if I was regaining my lost senses back. I suddenly started developing a sense of purpose. Many thoughts started coming to my mind. I said “I want to be a man. That is what I have always wanted”.

He said “Your choice is your new path, when you are ready to thread this path, raise one of your legs up and say the following incantations”. I did has he told me and I became unconscious. I later regained my consciousness, but this time I was at the back of my house. I said to myself “Why this cursed house again?” I attempted to leave again when I realized my hands were still tied with ropes. I quickly tiptoed to the cooking hut. I saw some knifes and cutlass. After struggling with the knife for minutes, I broke free.

New Path
I later realized I was the only one walking in the middle of the night. There was a curfew. The village hunters and priests had launched a massive hunt for the killer. I was being hunted like a snake. I decided to rest under a tree inside a tick forest. Not quite long, I slept off. I do not know how long I slept, I was awoke by a grip on my arm. I first saw a blurry image of man reciting some words. The sleep veil covering my eyeballs finally cleared off. It was the chief priest himself saying some incantation. And with him are heavily armed hunters. In my mind, I said “This is it. I have finally met my end”. I waited for him to finish his incantation to see or feel the effect, be it dead or decapitation. But I felt nothing, I rose up, I noticed the hunters pointing their Dane guns at me in case I made any risky move. I told the chief priest, “What was that incantation meant to do to me? Because I felt nothing.” That was like an insult to the chief priest, his followers got angry, and one of them launched a heavy fist on my face. One was even pointing his dagger at me letting me know he would not hesitate to use it on me. The chief priest quickly cautioned them. He said “Leave him be. Do not harm him. He is a sacrificial meat to the gods”. Afterwards, they tied my hands to my back with a rope. And they took me to the village dungeon. And locked it.

The news spread like wildfire. It was now the major gossip in the village. I could hear some folks from the distance saying “The cursed one has struck again”. I said to myself “This is not fair. Have I ever attacked anyone before?” I got home that night to meet my people all awake waiting for me. The family head on seeing me started boiling. He shouted “I have been condoning your excesses for years, but no more. You shall not succeed in spoiling the name of this family. The finger that sins shall be cut off by the king. Tie him down” My brothers gathered up to wrestle me down. One of them charged at me. Instinct urged me to take a defensive action, but I suppressed that temptation. I will not lay my hand on my brothers. I forcefully freed myself from his grasp and ran out of the house in the night. I had nowhere to go. I kept walking to be sure I was far from home. This time, I was tired of life. I wished death should just come right then. I suddenly became suicidal. Fear departed me!

We were looking eyeball to eyeball when the lady started dissuading her lover to let go. “Leave him alone, he is cursed, he is not worth it. Do not fight him. His days are numbered” she said. But Adeoye refused to yield. Then he suddenly aimed his fist at my face, I blocked it, and I was swift in my response, I replied him with a blow which made him loose his balance and knock his head on the bark of a tree at his back. He noticed he staggered for few seconds, and passed out like dead snake. The lady screamed “You have killed him, the cursed one!” maintaining her distance from me. May be she thought I was going to attack her too. Suddenly she took off, screaming away. That was when I knew I was in trouble. I tried to revive him. I did not possess any ability that could help a dying man. I was there calling him and tapping his chest. No quite long, I saw heavily armed men coming towards my direction like hunters about hunting a lion. They were approaching me with caution and they were prepared to use their machetes on me. I sensed the danger, however I was confused and did not know what to do. I wanted to wait and explain myself to them, but they were wild and aggressive, so I told myself “Run first, explain later”. I raced away. But I noticed, they made no attempt to chase me. It seems they were there to claim the body. It was not clear to me if he is dead or alive.

Physique
I forgot to describe myself. Nature did a perfect job on me. I am tall with broad chest. It is true that people run from me because of my circumstance. Another factor is my fearful physique. I would have been the village female choice. I have had many memorable encounters with the opposite sex, but end up on an abrupt and bitter end. Women fell for me at the first sight until they know my story. Then they stop seeing me after knowing who I was. A lady worth remembering is Ajibike, despite hearing my story, she still tried to stick with me, but she could not survive the pressure from her parents, the society and her suitors who keeps reminding her of how she was venturing into a forbidden union.

On the eve of the village festival of Olokun, I was in a kola nut plantation, resting under a tree and thinking about my life. I picked up one “Abidun” (a sweet specie of Kola nut) and started chewing. Not quite long I heard foots step of some people working towards my direction. A lady and a young man which I later recognized as they moved closer to where I was. I knew the lady from the market. She was a daughter of a famous bush meat seller. The male was the son of village chief hunter. They were playing like love birds. They did not see me. I could have greeted them to make them aware they were not alone, but then, I did not want to create unnecessary unease, as I predicted they will either leave that vicinity immediately they sight me or curse me as usual. They were carried away by the lust and heat of the moment.

Just a stone throw from me, Amope (the lady) was bear naked and Adeoye climbed on her. The scene was not fascinating or disgusting to me. I made no sense of it. I just ignored them and continued thinking about my life. I was carried away too, that I forgot some people were beside me. After a while, I felt a tap on my soldier. It was Adeoye (the male). He pointed his finger at me “So, you were here seeing everything we did. And, your common sense did not tell you to excuse us or inform us of your presence”. I looked at him, I said “Leave me alone, what is on my mind is more important than your reckless escapades”, and then I looked away. This made him more furious. Angrily, he said “What an insult from a waste like you?” I continued ignoring him, then he grabbed my cloth and attempted to pull me up from my sitting posture, then I stood up to him, looking into his eyeball.

I didn’t know where I was. It was like a dream. I wished I had not woke up to see that day. My feet started shaking. A shiny clear day suddenly became darkness in my eyes. I felt ashamed of myself. I thought to myself “Why hasn’t anyone told me this since all these years?” I felt like a naked blind man. I asked her with tears in my eyes “Why didn’t you help me by killing me when I was still an infant? You knew what will become of me when I grow up, yet you left me at the mercy of cruelty, shame, mock, disdain and hate”. This time she was sobbing loud. I ran away from her, I ran as far as my leg could take me.

This revelation changed my life forever. It changed everything. My disposition to my family changed because I knew they all knew about my story that is why they have been treating me like an outsider. I now have the answer to my life puzzle. Everything started making sense to me. I remembered when I had a fracas with a son of a village chief. The Chief faced his son and said “Do not fight with him. You know what he is, an ordinary sacrificial meat”. I could remember many people calling me that. Suddenly, my mind was filled with hate. I began to hate everything associated with the village, my family and my life. I felt disappointed in everyone. So they all knew who I was and yet they took advantage of me. My mind was filled with bitterness. I started noticing I no longer fear anything including death. I fear nobody including the revered village chiefs and priests.

I stopped staying at home in the day, I only go home in the night to sleep. I felt I did not belong among them. I always sneaked in unnoticed at night like a cat. The family noticed it, but none care to ask me why. I was nobody to them. Some of them wish I just vanish. I was a reproach, shame and nightmare for them. I could always see the look on their face whenever they see me, including my biological father. Only my mother summon courage to talk to me once in a while.

My soul is damned
Faroungbe is the head of the family. I knew him as the father, the head of the house and my father. I later realized I was wrong. Faroungbe only gave birth to my mother, Amoke, who is the first born, Falade, the second child but the first son, two other male children, Abayomi and Fadiran. I, Omoye was the last born. But, there is a twist to it. The secret of how I was born came when I clocked 15 years. I used to think that my mother was a wife to Faroungbe. But it came t me as a shock when I was alone with my mother in a farm on a faithful day. She was sited at the foot of a tree while sobbing.

I asked why she was sad, she told me “Do you want to know why you are treated differently in this village?” The question got me intoxicated. This is the answer I have been searching all my life. It was as if I was in heaven. I could kill for this answer. She started, “Baba Faroungbe is not your father. He is my father.” At this point, I became the most confused human on earth. This statement put me in another maze.

She continued “You will learn when you become a man that every mistakes has consequence that you will have to live with, for the rest of your life. I have made a mistake in the past. You are my mistake. And your father is the worst of all my mistakes. Falade and I mistakenly played games without boundary. You are a product of lust. I became pregnant for Falade. All effort to abort you was in vain. The chief priest gave us all varieties of potions to flush your seed, but failed. You do not belong in this family, you do not belong in this village, and you do not belong in this world. You are a taboo. They are waiting for you to become a man before they sacrifice you to the gods of the seven of heavens. That is why people see you and run. You are a sacrifice meat.
My son, you have to be strong and be prepared for what is coming your way. Your destiny is full of pity”.

I am not a good writer. I am a computer scientist. But I like writing stories. This is one of my works. Kindly read it, enjoy it and correct me on use of words. No insults pls.

----------------------------------------------Story Starts here---------------------------------------------

The Damned
Being afraid of fear is fear. Fear is a mental state that changes depending on the current situation. When you are at the verge of breathing your last breath, fear fades off.
I was the last born of a family of seven. Growing up exposed me to hate, disdain and isolation. I found myself in a poor family in a village. A village located in-between Ilorin and Oyo. Orosoke village is known for superstitions, priesthood, ritualism and traditions. Most children of my age were warned not to talk to me. I was like a plague infected tree that must not be touched and spoken to. At first, it was strange to me at my early age. Children see me and run home as if they saw a snake. It later became nothing to me as I grew accustomed to it. Although, at times, the human and child side of me longs to play with my counterparts. Anytime I walk towards a group of kids playing, that marks the end of the beautiful game. They all scampered for safety. That was when I learnt that I was destined to be a spectator to every games and ceremony if I do not want an abrupt end to the beautiful scene.

This has also worked in my favour on many occasions. One day, I went to the village guava plantation to eat some fruits. I met some villagers there. On seeing me, they all ran away leaving all the fruits they gathered behind. I just sat down and ate all I could without sweating. It happened again at a palm wine hut. I went home with a gourd of wine. It was at this stage that I decided to embrace my condition, who I was and the way I was being treated. Although, I did not know why people treated me as such. I look in the mirror to count the number of body organs I have, but I look pretty the same as others. Nobody cared to explain to me why they do not want me near them. I later stopped caring too. Only my mother speaks to me in my family.

I did.
OK

The emboldened is at best an add-on to your overriding theme. But let me ask; Does being serious a prerequisite for a girl to give in?
She may not like your disposition or carriage even if your intentions are honest.
It is still in theme. I wrote "girls blame their past on guys". They date the wrong guys. Good guys with fear of God dont abuse women

I think girls prefer spontaneous and adventurous guys with confidence, not necessarily bad guys. Good guys who display those traits score well.
A guy who is reserved and not a womanizer will be seen as low confidence guy. But a womanizer with low moral taste for women (anything goes) is confident right?

Depending on the scale marriage occupies in her scale.
This is Africa. We know marriage is very important. Those ones that say "I am better single" have their stories. I have dated them and at the end they always lament its not easy. And they always regret their actions.

lezz:
Advising guys to purnish girls for playing hard to get at thier prime is only displaying bruised ego and inability to handle life from a male's perspective.

Guys will undervalue or even distrust an easy target even if she loves him genuinely. Real men love the chase.

And nature made women to lead and tease men on as we are the ones with the steroid hormone called testosterone.

So if a girl has 4-7 guys hitting on her daily, her natural selective defence mechanism will kick in to do the screening. It is nature working at its finest. It is a natural preservative or selective process put in place by nature.

Men with lots of cash also do selective/use-and-discard technique too.
May be you should read the write up again.

Playing hard to get for a serious guy, but give bad guys, players free access is a problem...I will be surprize if you fail to see this.

Girls prefer bad guys over decent guys. But when they are ready to marry, they start looking for decent guys. And that is why most of them always claim men are evil. They dated the evil of the men.

Like I wrote, they playing hard to get is fun right? But let them also feel the hard to get when they are 30 years old.

Most guys feels bad when young girls play hard to get or proudly reject them (Yanga).

Its a natural order. Girls in the age range 18 and 25 are always arrogant, proud and selective. This is normal.

Guys, when they do yanga at this age, just chill, wait for them, at age above 27 when they are still single, they become nice, friendly, godly and mostly desperate for serious relationship/marriage. Thats the time when you pay them back. Thats when you show them what yanga is all about.

From experience. I have dated ladies with age between 28 and 31. One was so desperate for me. She wants marriage. She came from nowhere with age 29 and want me to marry her just like that. I just thought to myself, were you sleeping since all these years? You were busy enjoying your life and now when your body parts becomes tokunbo, you now want me to be your dumping ground. She always talk about how her ex made her single at that old age. How they wasted her time. I just laugh inside me. I knew I was just playing them. At times I look at those sagging braest and shake my head.

Seriously, I don't pity any lady in that condition. Oh men are evil...my status today is because of what men and my ex did to me.

All na wash. I don't believe anyone is in control of your destiny. Most of them have encountered one serious guy at a point in time, but because of the many suitors, they ignored, played hard to get and chase them away.

While at school, I have a friend who dated this beautiful chick. She keeps telling him, she can't go into any serious relationship then. She is beautiful every guys on the street are after her. So she could not date only one guy.

You can call me evil or any name you want, I date ladies about 29 for fun and pleasure. I don't pity them. And when I am ready to marry. My wife will be between 22 and 25.

Guys emulate this, don't pity these people. Life should be fair to the both side. Enjoy yourself too. They have enjoyed theirs in the past. In fact they were busy enjoying not minding they are getting older.

Remember the stress you had to go through before you can date a single girl. They don't pass through any stress. They just sit in one corner with whatsap and bbm, they can ge 10 suitors in a day. As a guy, how many suitor have you gotten in this month alone? LOL..let me answer it "0" zero.

LOL..you post a prayer comment on facebook, nobody say amen to it. And a lady post "All my friends should say amen for no reason. If you do not say amen, I will unfriend you now." You will see guy rushing to say "amen" on her post. Very sad the way some guys behave like zombies on facebook.

Disclaimer: It is however to be noted that not all those girls played hard to get or engaged in the scenarios painted above. Some are just victims of circumstances. Some were victims of guy games.

Girls reading this can curse. Its your mouth. Its a free world.

All our girls are now olosho.

Where do you want to marry? You want to marry a lady in the bank with miniskirt and suit with high heel?

She went to the University too. These runs girl will not be olosho for ever. They will graduate from Unilag and work with a company..e.g. the company you work for for. When you see them...you will be like see cute decent babe. I pity you.

I read many comments here and I shake my head. Many ladies were into runs when they were in school. Your decent wife at home might be olosho in the past.

Guy..I wont judge anyone. This so called decent girls is overrated. A girl who is playing hard to get for you is not decent. She might be fcking 30 guys at your back.

Our society is a mess recently. Social media is not helping. Sex is now a purchased and sold at all levels

Nigerian christians dont know the difference between common sense spirituality. Guess thats why Fulanis are making suya out of them

I guess his God is completely useless in this fight.
When Fulanis herdsmen come to your house to kill you, just kneel down and pray in front of them. Test your God to know if he is powerful or not.

My people die for lack of knowledge. Now I understand. God created you and gave you everything you need "The brain". God will be disappointed to realize you don't know how to use it.

Oh...

Sorry, I thought many Christians have died as martyrs.

I didn't think the doctrines have changed.

Wake up bro.

You can't be a Christian and subscribe to common sense at the same time.
That would make you or anyone who claims to be a christian an hypocrite.

It is either you follow the teachings and life of christ or you are not a christian as you claim.
Then you need to start reading history book along with bible. Some christians died martyrs just like some Ifa worship did, but Christians death to martyrs did not save Christianity.

It was the great war of Crusade that saved Christiandom. Jihadis dont give a shiit if u die a martyr or not, whats important to them is for christians to die.

Start reading and stop being lazy. And please and please dont mislead other christians. This is a public forum. Do not say what you are not sure of. Google is your friend. You don't even know about the christianity you claimed you are part of.

Christianity was not saved by martyrs, but warriors.

Take your fight to the devil.

Does your pastor have any other choice but to forgive her?
Yes the pastor has taken the fight to the devil. Let the devil face the law now.

You are still misfiring.

The thread is directed at the pastor's hypocrisy if he fails to forgive Olunloyo whether she is remorseful or not.

The question is; Does the pastor have any other choice but to follow the bible's clear instructions?
Who is forgiving who? You are in a war and you are forgiving an enemy pointing his arrow at you.

Meeen...this is common sense.

The enemy is not asking for forgiveness. The enemy is still bent on killing you.
