Politics / Re: Atiku Shops For Running Mate In South East by howfarwhatagwan: 8:15pm On Oct 09, 2018
I wrote in plain English not Swahili so if you do not understand too bad I can't start to school you now. It is your cup of tea who you support not mine. It doesn't stop me from expressing my observation. The election will not take place on social media so if I were you I will get off social media and go do the work required to achieve what you hope.

uote author=profeazy post=71921680]

Talking plenty and saying nothing! A SE VP by Atikulate would seal the doom of the lifeless. SE and SS folks all over the country would vote en mass for Atiku. Yorubas can be trusted to vote with their senses. I can bet that despite Tinubu's influence, Some SW states would vote Atiku. Tinubu's move with Ambode shows he is still quite democratic despite his grandstanding with a failed Buhari continuity. Nigeria must survive. Artikulate 2019 issa goal! [/quote]
Politics / Re: Atiku Shops For Running Mate In South East by howfarwhatagwan: 10:50am On Oct 09, 2018
The South West will be deciding the winner in 2019. The South West knows what is at stake so it is quite easy to predict how the South West will vote. For once the South East will have the opportunity to decide the winner as well but as usual their lack of ability to form alliances will give the South West the major deciding power. Nigerian politics is very easy to predict when you are not sentimental. Several months ago a friend argued that either Saraki or Tambuwal will win the PdP ticket I asked the friend to bet that Atiku was going to win my friend no gree bet oh out of fear hahaha because I don chop the friend money before. When I see people beating their chest about who will win or not win on this forum forgetting the trends and stats I just laugh if you stop for a moment and look at the numbers and trends it is pretty clear who will most likely win in 2019.

Politics / Re: Osun Election - Davido Begs Buhari: 'You Are Man Of Integrity Sir, Please Do..' by howfarwhatagwan: 2:46am On Sep 24, 2018
My country people are so hypocritical now you know Buhari is a man of integrity because you want something haha...very typical of us Nigerians instead of preparing to ensure you win you question the law simply because it didn't favor you. Please focus on the task ahead and stop crying foul where there is none. For the first time we saw an election where it was not just a battle between two parties but more than two and you are complaining. I am not from Osun state but I am proud of Osun people oh what they have done is show us people can actually vote for candidates they like and not political parties.
Politics / Re: Grow Nigeria: Nigerians React To Saraki’s Message On Nigeria by howfarwhatagwan: 9:36pm On Sep 21, 2018
He is too desperate and I am always weary of desperate people. You are the so called senate President and I expect you to grow Nigeria even in that position. I still hear Kwara people complain about your performance so why on earth would I support you? I personally will not support anyone in 2019 who has cross carpeted between political parties. One Senator from Benue state who was PDP chairman several years ago has moved from PDP to APC to PDP to SDP Haba are these people really interested in growing Nigeria or their pockets?

Politics / Re: Ekiti Election Result: Omokri, Dele Momodu React To Fayemi’s Victory by howfarwhatagwan: 9:20pm On Jul 15, 2018
Only the so called 'elite' are surprised by these results, they continue to make noise on social media forgetting the most important electorate group 'grass root electorates' that group decides elections more than anyone else. It is very easy to predict the outcome of the 2019 elections. if you use the right factors for prediction and not your emotions you will never be surprised by the outcome of Nigerian elections.

And you and your colleagues remain the greatest failures since the return of democracy to Nigeria. You all still have mouth to talk because most Nigerians have no understanding of what democracy means, if they did trust me you will be long gone
Politics / Re: MKO Abiola: "Nice Move But We’ll Still Vote You Out In 2019" - Some Reactions by howfarwhatagwan: 10:56pm On Jun 07, 2018
Hahaha I laugh when I see people on social media shouting we will vote you out like the election will happen on social media. Better get off social media and go do some grassroot work otherwise that man is going no where which will be shocking for many. Grassroot electorates are the ones who decide elections and they do not have access to social media. When you move from being emotional about this matter and focus on the real statistics you can easily predict Nigeria's elections. I hate to admit it but with the stats and incompetence/disorganisation of opposition parties and the fact that it is less than a year to the presidential elections and still no viable or credible candidate it is pretty clear that his chances of winning are extremely higher than you think. There are two electorate groups: the 'elite' and 'non-elite' (grassroots) who really goes out to vote? your guess is as good as mine.
Celebrities / Re: Ali Baba Reacts To Falz "This Is Nigeria" Video: Everyone Is Criminal In Nigeria by howfarwhatagwan: 11:58pm On May 30, 2018
I agree but there are somethings that other countries get away with that Nigerians can never get away with. Falz for one should know what I am talking about. Everyone knows what happens in America but does it stop them from dreaming to go there? Nigeria already has a terrible image out there some perceptions are absolutely true others are totally misconstrued did he have to make it worse? you know in this life you need to make your choices really carefully everyone is jumping to make a 'This is ..." video doesn't mean you must make one. when you live in Nigeria it is easy to not give a damn about it but when you don't and you are having to explain yourself constantly to people there is nothing funny about it because it just makes it worse.
TEYA:

The original song (This is America) which falz remade, which was sang by childish gambino criticized the American society. There are versions criticizing Canada and Jamaica titled "This is Canada" and "This is Jamaica" respectively. There is completely nothing wrong with the song.
Celebrities / Re: Ali Baba Reacts To Falz "This Is Nigeria" Video: Everyone Is Criminal In Nigeria by howfarwhatagwan: 11:09pm On May 30, 2018
It steal beats me how people have no idea the consequences such songs have on Nigeria. and I ask so after the video and song how does it solve the problems? We've had many musicians singing about Nigerian situation for decades what really has it changed?

He conveniently forgot to add in the song that 'This is Nigeria' where people sing rubbish and get endorsements meanwhile hardworking scientists, teachers, doctors etc never get what they deserve.

lived abroad for years and the truth is most people in the world have never been to Nigeria and do not have an inkling what Nigeria is like the only idea they have about Nigeria is what we Nigerians tell them or portray in videos or is portrayed in the news. So when you make videos like this it beats me really what one hopes to achieve you only make yourself a laughing stock. He made a video and showed every thing negative about his country but forgot to talk about the positives that made it even possible for his name to be heard or known and which he feeds off from daily how amazing is that?

Well at the end of the day everyone is entitled to their opinion right so case rested...

I think in his mind he is actually an admirable opposition leader but has got no idea how foolish he sounds sometimes... Wow reading the comments and I am still at a loss how many Nigerians still do not understand basic economic principles.... It's simple if anyone was well off for 16 years and experienced some unexpected changes for 2-3 years and he/she couldn't cater for themselves in those two years then obviously there was something absolutely wrong with the 16 years of he/she's so-called time of plenty...particularly when you have some counterparts (UAE etc) in the same situation that are obviously getting on well.... Nigerian youth please get off social media and do some more educative reading...

Brother if you say agriculture when the clueless GEJ was there farmers don't queue for fertilizer they deliver it to their farms direct the get necessary insecticides as at when needed his agriculture minister then was named the best minister 2x that's y buhari retained him instead put him somewhere else check prices of food now and then I guess you have your answer already

Food prices going up is as a result of our country's long neglect of food production and agriculture which is why we rely so much on food imports and it is only normal for the food prices to increase when the cost of importation increases. Like I said the effects of the global oil price decrease would have been easily cushioned by the 'so-called' excellent achievements of the previous governments if there were any, like we have seen with many other crude-income dependent economies like ours. So for the fact that in just 2-3 years of huge oil price fluctuations we are so badly hit is clear evidence of the previous failures.

You know it will be preferable if people who are not satisfied with the present government prepare seriously for 2019 to ensure they correct the 'mistake' they have shouted has been made and not go about reminding us about failed past administrations that have moved us backward and resulted in our current situation'... simply put you can not exonerate the previous administrations from our economic woes they failed and it is glaring.

So to you this looks like a rebuilding process and so nothing good came out of the GEJ tenure that is why your PMB has to destroy the country this much to rebuild it shey, bro leave your comfort zone and move around the country and see how far I travel a lot and I see things I don't wait to read news from nairaland or the pages of newspaper that's y I can't be deceived about Nigeria

You are entitled to your opinion just as I am to mine but my point was and remains If GEJ's tenure had made the acclaimed successes rated by the person who started this post it will be clearly evident. GeJ's government failed woefully on corruption, security and agriculture and these are the areas this government has made significant progress. They got a long way to go on economic issues undoubtedly but then again if you recall our economic weos are as a result of 6 years of wastage in a time of plenty. I think these are simple issues that any objective person will not have a problem understanding. Like I said you are entitled to your opinion. As much as the government has a long way to go I will not shy away from the truth that GEJ was a very poor leader he lacked the skill simple and short just as you and I lack certain skills.

Maybe when you also admit that GEJ was a total failure? or realize it would have even been a greater disaster to have re-elected him?

and BTW I also supported/voted GEJ and I have absolutely no reservations stating he failed after his term just as I will have none saying the same about PMB after his tenure for you can destroy a house in a split second but can NEVER rebuild it within the same time frame.

When one learns to be objective then and only then will they be able to see things from a better perspective.

Most biased rating I have ever seen. Nigerians learn to be objective it is the only way you can see things clearly. I will say it and continue to say it if the previous government performed as you have rated, it will be undoubtedly evident but clearly it is not the case which is why everyone will continue to suffer the consequences of that failure and our continual refusal to accept that fact makes it even worse. I repeat GEJ WAS A POOR LEADER HE CLEARLY LACKED GOOD LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND IT IS NOT A BAD THING TO ADMIT IT. HIS GOVERNMENT WAS A FAILURE WHICH IS WHY WE ARE WHERE WE ARE TODAY. Simply put, if Obasanjo took us 10 steps forward, GEJ and cohorts took us 15 steps backwards and off track. PMB's government still got a longgggg way to go in getting us back on track . I will rate them 60% because we are finally getting on the right path.

This is the most insane statement I have seen in a long time. If I had any plans of supporting Labor party they just ruined it big time.

My question for GEJ was and has always been if it was a setup as claimed you were the president so why in the world didn't he prove it. Please let us stop trying to be nice GEJ was a bad leader simple and short it is not a crime to admit that you lack a certain skill. We all lack certain skills including myself so I really hate it when people refuse to accept the failures of the past administration.

If we all learn to get rid of all the obnoxious sentiments we continually promote in Naija we will be more objective and productive as a nation. Long and short is that there should be no brother or sister when it comes to the things that we need to make Nigeria better, I wonder when Nigerian youth will learn these lessons.

hahahaha very funny comments

seriously you didn't include Wizkid? Include him and the list is complete. If there is a song I cannot stand it is Daddy Yo, gosh what in the world was he singing?

Now on a serious note many musicians in Nigeria are overrated just as many American musicians are also overrated. It is different strokes for different folks. I think the moment you understand that there is a music for different moods you won't find some musicians actually intolerable. For example some songs are just good for that moment when you want to be a deep thinker and enjoy music while some do the magic when you want to just relax and not be serious. All the same it is important to at least make some sense but if they don't and the rythm and beat does the magic then it is still entertainment. As for me give me my Brymo and 2 baba anytime, any day and any moment.

Hahaha

I think the bone of contention is not if he went to NYSC camp but if he is a qualified graduate. It is not news that we have a lot of graduates in Nigeria but some did not qualify to graduate but still have certificates. So it is no surprise that there may be so many in our senate.

One of the reasons I continue to insist that one of our greatest failures in democracy is the national assembly...they are a bunch of jokers.

Dear Soludo, who has divided Nigeria? All the so called Major tribes with your entitlement mentality continue to amaze me. When you all cry marginalization I wonder what you want the so called minor tribes to do? Cry a river and kill themselves? If every minor tribe in Nigeria begins to agitate for secession like Kanu and his cohorts are doing then believe me that is when you will know the real meaning of mayhem and division. If some south easterners no longer want to be Nigerians please go about it the right way, you have representatives make your case through them and stop going about it like rebels. Sadly for him he chose the wrong time to do what he thinks he has the right to do. Why didn't they agitate vigorously during the previous Government? after all they stood a better chance of getting what they wanted

And if the south east and south-south can learn a few things from the south west they will make more progress and hopefully get that presidency they so long for....In the meantime abeg make we hear word no be only una get Naija biko.
Politics / Re: Tuface Protest: Ezekwesii Blasts Buhari, Osinbajo As Civic Group Pledges To Cont by howfarwhatagwan: 1:30pm On Feb 05, 2017
It always saddens my heart when I read comments. what a divided country. I think Nigerians simply do not understand the meaning of democracy. We all still have that dictatorship mentality. Everyone shouting Buhari and Osinbajo meanwhile we all have representatives and senators who do nothing and go home with huge allowances when are we going to start demanding they represent our interests? Two men cannot have greater power than 360 men. We all know the reps and senators representing our constituencies start from there. One of the longest serving senator is from Benue state and I still do not see him fighting for the interest of his constituency (2 baba is from that constituency by the way).

Everyone has different levels of understanding so you can never have everyone agree about an issue. if 2 baba wants to protest he has the right to do so and if he has chosen not to go ahead he still has the right to do so just as those who have not supported the protest also have the right to do so it is a matter of tolerance and making sure you do not lord your views over others.

2 Baba may be sincere with his reasons for protesting but he has no control over other people's motives so I do not blame him for cancelling. By the way there are other more effective ways of protesting and I believe if he explores those ways it will also be beneficial at least he has got the audience and he also had the guts to do what many have not had the guts to do... so whatever the case kudos to him. But my brother next time no announce am too quick think am well, well before you announce and don't make the notice too long otherwise you will still face the challenge of vested interests hijacking.

Kai I love human beings everyone has suddenly become compassionate and concerned about the poor now that even the elite can no longer afford the luxuries they so enjoyed.

Please protest but direct the protest to those concerned. If the issue is paying of state salaries then address the state Governors involved and while you are at it please don't forget to FACE the national assembly they remain our greatest failures in democracy.

I'm sorry but only greed should be blamed for anyone that lost money in this scheme... the sooner everyone learns in this life that there is no easy way out in making money the better for everyone. You have to either work really hard to make money or you steal it through different means . You decide where MMM falls.

Learn your lessons and move on.... make it a decision to never participate in ponzi schemes and you will not be found crying again..
