Tinubu should look the side of Senator Adeyeye so that his SWAGA co-traveler in LP (Arambabi) can rest. Em don too try ![]() |
Praktikals:Ode, grow up... Good governance affects everyone, while bad governance is not selective. That you supported Tinubu does not mean you'll be immune to the consequences of bad policies by his government. |
BafanaBafana:... or COAS ![]() |
seunmsg:Seun, so anybody who complains must be from the SE? Haba!! |
flokii:Are you a robot? Are you wired to always comment about Igbos? Are you alright? If you take just 50 seconds to read, you will see that nothing in that piece mentioned Igbo. Then I ask again, are you alright? |
seunmsg:An you think this is possible? There are a lot of people who believe they support Tinubu and MUST be compensated. The likes of Sen. Adeyeye of SWAGA is a classic example. When you look at Arambambi's back-to-back conference, you'll understand how long the queue is. |
Ausmos:Isn't an irony that the Tinubu was the "National Leader" of Buhari's party? Joker |
obembet:The joke is on you ![]() Now, let me address the issues you raised. First, you said you're not sentimental when it comes to politics. Then I ask, who said anything about being sentimental? Is it even possible to support a cause or have a preference without some bias? This position is in fact well established in your consistent support for anything and everything Ronaldo and animosity against Messi. The truth is, your dangling choice from Southern presidency, to Atiku, and then Tinubu was influenced by certain factors. If that's not sentiment, then tell me what it is. Secondly, you said "all party rig, all politicans na criminals, na the criminal wey smart pass the other criminal win. And since I was born til today, I have never see free and fair elections in Nigeria (sic)". If you don't see hypocrisy in what you typed then I am really sorry. The bottom line is, that you are clueless about politics (and even Football; I am sorry if that comes out as an insult). You seem like a person who can be easily swayed by the opinions of others. In essence, you lack an original opinion of your own, mostly because you're either ignorant or lack the conviction to pursue a cause. Ciao! |
obembet:On the bolded, I've not seen you anywhere condemn INEC for any electoral malpractice, at least in the last election. Anytime you comment on posts in Politics section you're neither here nor there. You've consistently switched sides between late 2022 till date; from supporting Southern presidency, to supporting Atiku and then Tinubu. Please use another example. Meanwhile, I want to donate a bucket for your tears for 30th October. Do you mind if I get a GP tank instead? ![]() |
legitnow1:This is not about tribe really. Some people no just get sense. These guys championing the Igbo vs Yoruba vs Hausa are not anywhere near the gate, not to talk of the table where the decision about the future of the country is made. The fact remains that we have two tribes and religions in the country - The rich and the poor. Whether Tinubu, Atiku, or PO becomes the president, it does not change anything. The sharing continues. The only difference is who sits at the front and shares it with the rest. That the president is from a state does not have ANY impact on the state populace. We had two former heads of state from Niger, but Mina the state capital is in a sorry state. Katsina where I reside for several years was not impacted by the 8 years of Buhari's presidency. While he engineered the institutions of several infrastructures in Daura, his people are still poor till tomorrow. Ogun roads are terrible despite OBJ's presidency. What about Bayesla? Was GEJ's home at Otuoke not flooded recently? Regardless of who becomes the president, Nigeria is doomed if we refuse to wise up. They have perfected the use of religion and ethnicity to further ensure Nigerians are never united to fight this injustice. Remember what the Nassaraw Governor said this week about his sack by the Tribunal? |
legitnow1:He's referring to South Western and Eastern Nigeria. Na NL resident ethnic jingoist. |
Kukutente23:You're wasting your time. You need not engage people who look at things from a political angle. It is very possible to support an individual and still speak out when the person is deviating. These politicians are humans, but the slavish mentality amongst most Nigerians have made them support anything brought forwards by their favorite political leaders. |
lexy2014:Some people believe Tinubu can never do wrong. The same thing happened under Buhari. The same people who cheered for Buhari yesterday are still cheering for Tinubu today (even when he reverses the policies of Buhari). I don't take people like that seriously. They don't read, understand, and process the implications of every policy, they just accept and support everything. But the interesting thing is, "Ọ̀run ńyabọ̀, ki ṣé ọ̀rọ̀ ẹnìkan". For every stupid policy, no Nigerian, at least those outside the less than 1 percent political elites, will share in the consequences. |
Sadly, it is common knowledge that some of the officers in the military, police, and paramilitary got in using results/certificate which does not belong to them. Either through the shady "replacement" channel or because the expected checks were relaxed to ensure that the quota meant for certain regions does not "waste". But it is indeed very disturbing that since 1999 (Salisu Buhari's case) we still have to go through the issue of certificates during each election season. Then I ask, what is the jo of INEC and DSS in this regard? |
BIZNess123:Yeah I get. The local producers were not in the competition, at least for rice, vegetable oil, and so on. I think only cement (Dangote, Bua, Ibeto, a Lafarge - Elephant) was what we didn't really have much issue with in terms of importation. For the past 8 years that these bans were "effective", did it stop foreign rice, kitchen utensils, toothpicks, etc from flooding the markets? Was there any improvement in the local production of these products? For use to start the discussion about local products competing with foreign products, a lot needs to be done. For instance, how easy is it to start manufacturing kitchen utensils with the current cost of diesel, double taxation, and inefficient transportation? Also, with the heightened insecurity across the country, rice production is a very risky and expensive venture. In these cases, most potential producers would likely consider importing the finished or semi-finished produce to sell here. That is what you see Dangote and Bua doing with regards to sugar. They set up a supposed sugar processing factory, when in fact they import raw sugar and then refine it here in Nigeria under the guise of local production.. |
BIZNess123:There was no competition whatsoever to begin with. All these supposedly banned products were still available in the market. The last incompetent admin just rushed to ban those products when they were aware we were not self-sufficient in their production. Moreover, they don't consume these allegedly locally-produced products. All the banning was just to score some cheap political points. |
Godfullsam:... and it was not until 1999 that Igbos began to prosper in Lagos. Baba Jakande and Micheal Otedola and the military administrators of Lagos were just sleeping and doing nothing until Tinubu came in 1999. You can't take away the achievement of the prior leaders of Lagos just because you want to ascribe an omini-potent title to Tinubu. |
richie240:It's not hard to see political jobbers. You sure know all this talk is to score some cheap political points You mean prior 1999 Igbo's never successes in Lagos? Common, wake up. |
garfield1:I don't need to know you to be very sure you're not part of the less than 1 percent political elite. There are no issues with the majority political party determining the leaders of the parliament. It only becomes an issue when the heads become figureheads. While the executive would have it easy, the economy, welfare of the people, and governance would most likely suffer. Remember, the Obasanjo admin's excessive control of the legislative did not augur well for the country. |
BentizilL0:What's your definition of "invade"? |
garfield1:So Governors controlling the house assemblies is your justification for supporting the same at the central government? Great. We are all young, so we would most likely be alive to see the consequences of our choices. The irony is that you and I who support these are not part of the less than 1 percent of the political elite that these atrocities favor. |
garfield1:I just hope this thing you're supporting won't come back to hurt you in the future. That a president supported his candidature does not mean he should not do his job. It may be too long before we realize the dangers of the executive controlling both the legislative and judiciary arm of government. The evidence of an executive-controlled legislative arm is what the country is currently suffering. If the last assembly was up and doing Buhari and Emefiele won't have battered the economy to this extent. |
Larryndelaw:Oga, PO presented his degree certificate. Go ad check INEC's list of the candidates and certificates submitted |
GOTVee:I don't respond to riffraff, but I'll indulge you this once. First, you've revealed your true identity in your first sentence. Secondly, you'll "... off you[self] like candle(sic)" because you are who? I double dare you mother fucking chimp!!! Mumu go and threaten your mates over there. |
Whytelyon:.... and you automatically assumed my religion. Lol. |
Whytelyon:Does one need to travel to Israel before one knows this? |
GOTVee:This mumu don go switch account. The imp only posts to create a sense of hate between Christians and Muslims. If only you don't have any sinister motive you should know that this is nothing like your mumu Christian vs Muslim thing. In fact, there are more Christians in Palestine than in Israel. Moreover, we all you you're a Muslim. You're a disgrace to the Umma. You should be proud of your identity, not hide under "born again Christian" bullshit. |
Kobojunkie:You know what, I don't I have the time for the rubbish you're trying to do. |
NaMe4:My thought as well. Everyone just wants to distort fact to suit their narrative. |
Kobojunkie:Learn to read between the lines. |
Kobojunkie:Source: My grandfather told me ![]() |
Omo Nigeria is crazy. I never believed that one could be in a place with 24/7 hours of electricity. I have been here for several months and not even once has the electricity gone out. Things that I thought were complex were been demystified here. Seriously Nigeria needs to get it right. |
