If you're employed/self employed, dont forget your tax clearance cert..

If you’re a student in Nigeria and u wish to visit Ireland, you must provide evidence of this such as your Student ID.card and letter from your school stating the length of your school break holiday and the date to resume school, if someone else is sponsoring your holiday trip, then your sponsor must provide his/her bank statement showing enough balance to cover the cost of your visit to Ireland as a tourist, for example lets say your sponsor has 1m in his/her account either personal or company. If your sponsor is working, then he must provide documentary evidence that he’s working such as is pay slip, or his company registration cert etc… and a letter of sponsorship must be included and evidence of his/her relationship with you. Don’t forget that you must include confirmation of your accommodation such as your hotel reservation or any confirmation of your accommodation letter from any relative in Ireland stating that you will be adequately accommodated by him/her throughout the duration of your stay in Ireland.

Bryan12: Those whiteguys in those pictures.Does it mean we can't plant pineapple without the help of these white guys?nonsense
My guy we need those white people seriously if we want to achieve any tangible success. I agree we have technocrats as good as them in fact the former commissioner for Agric in Enugu state Prof. M.A.N Anikwe who was a big part of the success of the project, is a an agriculturist par excellence. HOWEVER, since 1960 we have proved that we cannot handle even the slightest of our endeavours without politics, greed and corruption. If this was entirely our project what you would be hearing now is that the fertilizers were stolen, or diverted, or one committee is fighting with another on who will be the project manager, or the workers haven't been paid etc. If you dont believe me ask South Africa.

Religion / A Letter To Pastor Chris Oyakhilome by HUGES: 3:27pm On Sep 08, 2014
Dear Pst. Chris,
I write not to judge you because my bible warns that I have no right to judge another man's servant, but to share my thoughts (as a fellow christian) with you.
In view of some of your comments as regards the issues between you and your wife I hereby make the following assertion:
1. You inferred that being married to you (the man of God) doesn't make your wife 'automatically' a woman of God. And true as you said we have no record of the works of the wives of great bible prophets. HOWEVER, I think you made a huge mistake by giving your wife the work of a 'man of God' in growing the UK arm of your church, going by the above comment. Being in charge of UK and probably the entire Europe arm of your ministry is definitely not her place. My opinion is that her place it to be by your side DAILY. Massaging your body after the days stress; instructing your cook what to and what not to prepare for you
; planning your itinerary; be the "middleman" between you and the entire women staff in your office. Why should (if true) women surround your office and your wife is not there to instruct them; why give her a man of God's work when you know she may not automatically be a woman of God by being married to you.
Personally from your comment I feel you were just discrediting your wife because all that 'automatically not a woman of God' speech was not called for EXCEPT you were trying to play psychologically on the minds of the UK brethren. Well looking at her from a distance I don't think she is interested in claiming the UK church because I understand she withdrew herself from leading the church a long time ago.

2. In your comment you said "we are on a journey" probably meaning God gave you an assignment and you are on course, and I presume moving from one nation to another just like the apostle Paul. Well that is good, but I think you signed away the desire to be exactly like Paul when you got married. However you can still 'journey' around the world with your wife by your side cos I guess the kids are now grown and may be in college by now. I agree she doesn't have to be around you 100% but 80% would still be a pass mark. As an outsider what I gather is that she is with you 20-30% of the time. This is failure on your part.

3. I agree with you that Christians should not divorce. Personally I think they should FIGHT to the bearest minimum to save their marriage. From what the media made public about the issues in the supposed case filed by your wife regarding the divorce, I don't think they are things you can't handle. God who gave you a journey is not an author of confusion.

I am a young man who has admired you works from a distance and I believe you should fight for your marriage. Going by you recent address of the issue your body language doesn't strike me as one who is fighting or willing to fight for your marriage, I cannot say from mere intuition though because I am human. This is also why I don't judge you, but share my thoughts with you. You may not read this but a few christians will, and I hope it helps them and that some how someone who knows someone who knows you reads it and finds a way to make you see reasons why you should fight harder to save your marriage.
My imagination of you and your wife together appeals more than the both of you separated
Politics / Re: Wives, Children Stop Military Trucks Conveying Soldiers To Fight Boko Haram by HUGES: 9:11am On Aug 11, 2014
The thiefing, looting, fund siphoning, wicked army chiefs who have been hitherto enriching themselves at the expense of the poorly equipped foot-soldiers are at it again. Now they know Ebola has taken away the attention from boko haram so they are brainwashing the poor soldiers who will in turn ask their wives to protest in other to get attention again. These army-thief chiefs want us to believe that the almighty nigerian army is being defeated by a relatively insignificant boko haram. I think it's time GEJ goes to the weapons market and buy the much requested quality fighting equipments all by himself.

In as much as I feel bad (or insulted) I also wish we will value life in this country like other nations do. You can't imagine in the full knowledge of how deadly an infection is, some stupid persons will still say "pls bring our broda home so dat we can put him in d mortuary and afterward giv him proper burial rites" and some bigger full will in the name of corruption and greed allow a body mass of virus into this country.

Precisely what the chibok masterminders wants us to believe. Everyday it becomes clear to me that Boko haram is a carefully planned agenda geared to make Nigeria history by 2015. US wants their predictions to come to pass at all cost. Just imagine how stupid they feel when we are emerging the biggest economy in Africa in 2014 when we are suppose to be warming up for breakup in 2015. My line of suspects 1. United States (because they wouldn't want to be fake prophets if Nigeria survives beyond 2015 and killing Buhari in this way will definitely start a civil war. Even as it is now with this failed attempt the hatred between north and south will tak a new turn to their advantage) 2. Buhari (because it is a cheap way of wiping up sentiments of gullible Nigerians ahead of 2015; I am amazed no one in his convoy died)..................the last suspect on my mind will be Jonathan (because doing this 2days after Buhari writes him will be foolish especially when his party is regaining relivance up north)

Nairaland / General / Re: Is Destiny Predetermined? by HUGES: 2:20pm On Oct 26, 2013
The answer seem difficult because we wrongly define destiny. Do you think when God is creating a man He has 'billionaire' or 'pauper' in mind? No, material things are too worthless to be the reason why God will create a WHOLE MAN.
Riches or poverty, success or failure, etc, which ever comes your way is as a result of the choice you make, and it is in no way related to destiny. A poor child suffering from malnutrition in a refugee camp can become wealthy tomorrow if he is DETERMINED in his heart.
The ultimate destiny ( end point/destination) of every man when he was being formed/created, is to live forever in the new world which God has prepared, wherein there is no sickness or death, or poverty and pain, but full life and unfathomable/ unspeakable joy, worshiping and loving God forever. This, of course, was predetermined to be so (only that we use our own will power to change this course of this preorination). Whether you remain poor or rich in this 'doomed' world is a function of your own choice.
However doing good to all men is the will of God for every man, and when you do that you are on the way to your 'eternal' destiny.

Religion / Re: Why Did God Reject Cain's Sacrifice? by HUGES: 5:21pm On Oct 20, 2013
Dear OP, happy sunday. Yea, God did not REJECT Cains sacrifice, he only RESPECTED (ie, honoured, valued, regarded) Abel's sacrifice more and really didn't place any value in Cain's. So like the old kids book of bible stories or the old bible story movies where you see the smoke driving Cain away (to mean that God was rejecting...) lol, that's not actually it.
And if you with patience try to understand the ways of God through daily prayers and meditations, you will come to understand that the reason why God had very little regard for Cain's was because he offerred a mindless offering. Now here is an easy illustration; if u are a husband, you naturally expect your wife or kids (who ever is serving you) to dish your meal with regard and respect. In those days my mom used to dish my fathers food out first before ours. Even when we were so hungry and dad wasn't around, she'ld first dish his own out in a flask before attending to us. That reveals something -a respectful heart. Now it not just peculiar to me, cos if I and a big elderstates man (say your governor) pays you a visit and you are offerring us wine, by natural instinct you'll give him (governor) a glass before giving me. That's just the way it goes. This is exactly what happened to Cain and Abel. They both knew who God was and it was a custom in their house to offer God from their harvests. But Abel naturally said "ahh, let me give God first o", and he took the very first animal birthed from his flock in that season and God said "wow! This guy is respectful o". The way the bible dipicted Cain's sacrifice showed he offerred it more like a ritual, routinehe, like the 'normal' thing. The bible didn't say he brought the 1ST harvest, so it implies the guy had served himself first and probably eaten the best before remembering that his God was there. If I am with my father and there are two apples in my house, I will give him the most appealing of the two and take the lesser or smaller one for myself. It's not a doctrine, its just common sense of respect, lol.
Also I do want you to understand that death is a gain for a true christian, not a loss. If I am ever afraid of dieing at any one time, its because I feel my house is NOT in order. So I don't get disappointed in God when someone I know dies, my only worry is whether the person was at peace with God before they dies. We know that there is no enjoyment or satisfaction in this life; the wealthiest of men will confirm this to you. Besides, a true christian knows that behind every single trial in life which comes his way, there are two spectators observing -God and Satan. So when the christian say "God is unfair to me", Satan screems "I told you he is just with you for the goodies". But when the christian (after feeling the pain and crying) drys his tears and gives a mocking laugh at Satan saying " satan, yes I cried, but you didn't hope I'ld give up on my God and Master, did you? Cos I signed up to follow Him regardless of whatever". God will also join in the laughter and say " Satan now you know that I've got sons who follow me regardless of life's circumstances.
OP, God is done with this world and has marked it out for distruction. You just hold on. There is a new life He has prepared for us and when we get there, there won't be sickness or dieing or poverty.
Religion / Re: Is Speaking In Tongues Compulsory? by HUGES: 4:10pm On Oct 20, 2013
To the OP and others who (without any prejudice) want to get enlightened about the mystery of speaking in tongues, take out quality time to read the entire new testament while praying along for God to grant you insight. Nairaland might just leave you more confused than ever, especially on issues as this that are spiritually rooted.
However to give a head start on it (though not as a shortcut to making your own spiritual research), I would like you to read 1 cor. and 2 cor. closely. The very 1st verse of chapter 13 speaks volume, that there are 2 kinds of tongues spoken by christians -tongues of men (all the languages of men) and tongues of angels (a tongue also spoken by christians yet not traceable to any human language). It is the tongues of angels that Paul referred to in 1cor 14v14, that's why he says " for if I PRAY in tongues my spirit prays", and not "if I SPEAK in tongues", because at that instance he was not referring to the gift of men's language that is used to aid the gospel in the midst of foreigners. Rather he was referring to the tongues which is just a communication between man and His God, which niether himself or any other man around listening will make meaning from. So when you look closely you'll see that when he meant tongues as a sign to unbelievers he would use the word "speak" and not "pray".
By the way, folks who have once being in the occult and are now born again christians easily understand the mystery of "praying" in tongues, because some of them communicated with spiritual beings (fallen angels) in their old practices. It is just a spiritual practice that draws the human being to spirit beings, only that when a true christian practices it he attracts the Holy Spirit of God unlike an unbeliever who will attract demons if he attempts it.
To answer you question from my own experience, I think christianity is difficult to practice without spiritual strength (eg, like holding on to God in faith during moments of trials, etc), and it is such practice as praying in tongues that enpowers a christian to stand strong. So to me it's necessary. The neglect of it today (probably due to a lack of understanding about it) explains why the average christian is eaily tossed about like a reed both in times of trials and in issues of faith.

WARNING: The above thoughts are strictly mine and is not meant to spark any form of arguement with anyone. And the advice to the OP and 'others' as I used above is just a suggestion .
Happy sunday you all.

In a world where men are sexually attracted to their fellow men should this come as a surprise?
There is only one solution to anytin of dis sort -FLEE, RUN, BREAK ALL FORMS OF COMMUNICATION(at least for d time being). It's almost unimagineable, bt tins lik dis happen because of d MIND, it can do anytin if given space to brood on dat tin. A man who's d holiest of saints will get attracted sexually to an unattractive, ugly and evn mad female IF he allows his mind to consider it. So if u arrest d man today and disgrace him, d feeling will resurface again 2moro if he is allowed to stay under same roof with d chic (daughter or not) cos his mind is already enslaved in it. So ask ur friend to by all means help her dad by breaking contact and communication wid him, at least for some months if not yrs.
Again, I am guessing d 'deed' was actually done going by d 'pillow tears' (jst my tots). If my guess is true, then ur friend shld knw dis: she might neva be healed of d hate, pain, guilt, unforgiveness, etc dat follows except she fights with her own mind and b determined to overcome it. She must look at d mirror every morning and convince herself dat she'll overcome d traumas dat follow.

Lol no chief, d God of Israel is not a racist o. Jst dat at a time wen men from all race were worshipping diff manner of man made objects as well as their dead ancestors, a certain man called Abram decided in his hrt that d God and creator of d universe cannot b a mere object moulded by men. Of course he had no idea of who God was at the time, but his believe that God was bigger than d hrts of men cld fathom (wat was letter recorded to him as faith) endeared him to God. That was why God promised to reveal Himself to d whole world using Abram's race.He chose to ignore even his own fathers gods. D man they call Israel is actually d grandson of Abraham.
So u see He's not a racist, lol, is choice of Abraham's race was a just one. Do u knw ther were kingdoms in bible days dat defeated Israel in battle? Some were as a result of their sturbborness, but ther were also some wh were as a result of d faith and obedience of those kingdoms. Plus, God's strictness with d law was jst to prove dat man by nature can't keep laws. His long run purpose was for man to live by grace not big law. Besides I can't rmbr wen last I addressed Him as d God of Israel, because I personally address Him as My God and Lord lol.

Mynd_44: And what happens to those who don't believe in the Bible?
Yeah boss, it is a jolly free ride for yo'all who dont believe the bible. U can have sex with anyone u like and do what ever u like. But for the records I APPEAL to you (and of course others like u) to believe the bible and submit d power of ur will to Christ Jesus so that d same yoke dat leads us christians to a glorious end (which we believe by faith) will be binding on u too. U are d boss

For us christians kissing and romancing is also fornication because they both seek d same pleasure that 'penetration' gives and (most often than not) both end up in penetration.

Sincere 9gerian:
That is not my understanding of point 5. Point 5 states "... with a view to allowing the states and the other federating units MORE access to resources"

Point 5 is simply asking for MORE funds for the state and local govt. That is different from RESOURCE CONTROL.
Oops! U're rit. Jst checked it again. So in other words I might say they are being deceptive, cos d actual thing they are asking for is funds, but use d word 'resources' to make folks think they are fighting for d masses. Lol
