Italian Serie A to resume June 20, while Coppa Italia semifinals have been scheduled a week before the kickoff.
On Thursday, the Italian sports Minister confirmed June 20 as new resumption date for the Serie A.
Italian top-flight division was suspended in March amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, teams were allowed to resume individual and contact training as a step towards the return of the 2019/20 season campaign.

According to a report from Saudi state news, Newcastle takeover by Saudi billionaires looks like a done deal, after the premier league agreed to approved the £300m takeover
The takeover plan is headed by Amanda Staveley with support from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) fronted by crown prince Mohammed bin Salman in the reported £300m takeover according to talkSport.
When the takeover is finalised the Magpies will have the richest owner in the premier league ahead of Manchester City’s owner Sheikh Mansour currently tops the Premier League rich list with a net worth of £23.3bn.

On April 14, Manchester City were banned and fined for breaching UEFA’s Financial Fair Play and club licensing regulations, after being found guilty by an Adjudicatory Chamber of the Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) according to Sky
Man City “overstated its sponsorship revenue in its accounts and in the break-even information submitted to UEFA between 2012 and 2016”. according to UEFA.
City were also found guilty of “failing to cooperate in the investigation by the CFCB” and will be banned from participating in European in 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons.
The club appealed against the fine and the 2-year ban from European football.

A club Premire league official has insisted that Players who refuse to return to training shouldn’t be paid their wages.
The premier league hopes to return in mid-June according to reports, with all 20 clubs set to hold a meeting on Monday in a bid to allow teams resume training during the week.
Premier League players have experienced their worries over early plans for a possible return to action.
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero said last week “The majority of players are scared because they have family, they have children, they have babies, parents.”
In an interview with Sky Sports, a senior club official said if players feel concerned about returning to training then clubs shouldn’t pay their wages.

Tottenham striker Son Heung-min returned to South Korea in April to undergo compulsory military training.
Son is required to undergo a four weeks military, training as mandated for all males from the Age of 28, by South Korean law.
He will be subjected to tear gas, going for long walks, and will be taught how to fire weapons on Jeju Island during his time.
And he was captured on Wednesday with a firearm and full army gear.

Romelu Lukaku has apologised for a statement made about Inter Milan first team players having suffered symptoms of coronavirus in January.
“Everyone was coughing and had a fever. When I was warming up, I felt a lot hotter than usual.
In an instagram live video with Belgian television VIER, Lukaku claimed that many of the first team players returned after the December break with what looked like Symptoms of the Virus.
The statement from Lukaku read “We had a week off in December, we returned to work and I swear that 23 out of 25 players were ill. I am not kidding.
The 26-year-old had revealed that a teammate was substituted after showing signs of the COVID-19 in their match against Cagliari and how he was worried afterward.
“We played against Radja Nainggolan’s Cagliari (on January 26) and after about 25 minutes, one of our defenders had to leave the pitch. He could not continue and almost fainted.
“Everyone was coughing and had a fever. When I was warming up, I felt a lot hotter than usual. I hadn’t suffered from a fever in years. he added.
“After the game, there was a planned dinner with guests, but I thanked them and went straight to bed. We never did the COVID-19 tests at that moment, so we’ll never know for sure.”
The Belgium International has since apologised and has been disciplined by Inter, who are shocked by his actions.
