Martins Obefemi played 2 matches out of 8 matches. He was part of the team that qualified us for the 2018 wc in Russia live and direct.

Fifa will even pay Martins for doing a good job. E pain am. He wan cry.

and what was his impact in those two matches....if he had played well....
albeit rohr would have still kept him in his books...
even Sylvester igboun played better....

any player would have played those two matches if they were invited...but it will take an exceptional player to live a mark...

Didn't Lukman Haruna score in one of our friendly games before the world cup in 2010?? He didn't flop in every match he played.
Martins can have an impact in this team. Ighalo was posting few average performances before he got dropped and then Rohr reinvited him after deciding he needed a target man. Nacho has had bad games as well. I repeat, If Ighalo from the same "weak" Chinese league is our first choice CF, then martins can do a job from the bench. Simple as that.

Firstly am one of the people that said no to Martins inclusions in the team when Michael2 first raised it but my argument was based on the unity of the team not on Martins pedigree as a player.

Chinese league is for foreigners who have seen it all in well established league and they paid them just like expatriates coming to develop their league and that's why big money is involved, tell me how many European clubs would pay Ighalo such kind of wages.

Truly Martins play in Chinese league but his quality is not in doubt just like John Obi Mikel.Hope you have asked yourself how come Mikel damn good for Eagles now despite playing in Chinese league .

but we never need his quality when we qualified for the world cup....when we played Argentina.....

The England game was just a dead rubber for us. Nothing at stake.
We need a good and experienced goalie for the WC.
I am not totally discarding the young goalies. But they cannot be first choice.
If Enyeama will not be available let Ezenwa be first choice then.

Rohr wants unpredictability in his strikers upfront. The game against Argentina was the first time we'd play without a true 9. Opposition might understudy Ighalo but might meet the shock of their lives when they see KC and Iwobi or VicMo and Moses Simon.
If things goes to plan I think Nigeria would be one of the teams to beat at the WC. Depending on some games we won't play a natural 9 especially against Croatia.
