Croatia is the bigger headache of the two European teams. They have too much quality; Modric, Perisic, Rakitic, etc. Genuine world class players playing for the very best teams in Europe.

It's a tricky group, but not an insurmountable challenge.

I cannot dig up his goals after 14games but I am sure he had atleast 4-6 goals by then. Martins is not some demigod, but saying that because he scores in the Chinese league that Iheanacho and Kayode will come there and become the highest goalscorer is a pure lie. I agree with you that they currently lack cohesion and their defenceline is aging. But you're forgetting that Sampoali is going to have about 2 months to tinker the team before the World Cup proper. Seriously, I think the Argies can spring a surprise.

Having said that, I must confess that I was a little biased ... I just want Messi to win the World Cup before he retires

They remind me of of Brazil 2002 - they struggled with qualification, but have three amazing attacking players; same with this Argie team (Messi, Aguero, Di Maria). They were supposed to win it in 2014 but were unlucky coupled with the fact that they had a horrible coach in Tata plus Di Maria always getting injured in crucial games.

But now, everything seems to be coming together: Messi is still at his best, Sampoli is a decent coach so watch out for the Argies. Also I think Messi will trump Ronaldo's achievement with Portugal by winning the big one

My broda, I weak for some folks here sha! If anything, Osaze should even a better option than Martins because he's younger and a much better player too.

All in all, Joel Obi the only player I would support his recall at this time. Enyeama has retired, we should let him enjoy his well deserved retirement. Martins, Uche, etc are not needed. The team we qualified with is good enough especially when you include the likes of: Idowu, Aina, Uzoho, and hopefully Joel Obi.

It is more justifiable to cry over Kayode's playing time than Nacho's because the few times Kayode has played he never failed to impress.

both are bunch of potentials.....I have said it severally...nacho and musa lack of game time don't worry me...provided they're allowed to play in EPL 2.... under 23 team. so as to keep fit.

The sooner you realise that club football and performances are not a reflection of national team, the sooner we can have a proper conversation.

Martins has never been prolific for Nigeria.

What does Obafemi brings to the team? Experience.....Also,he is a match winner... he can bring something out of nothing...He has saved us on many occasions, the last being 2010 WC qualifiers.. He deserves to be at least invited.. all these greenhorns Osimhen, Nwakali Chidi,etc should continue to gather experience at club levels and international friendlies till 2022 qualifiers

then I see no reason why we should not canvass for yakubu and osaze as well...they have saved us in critical times...in time past.

That guy for me, is the best among the 3 CB's that played that day.His poor performance against SA didn't even affect his play, he was comfortable and confident with the ball.
