Then at what point do you stop trying new/fringe players for the world cup?

If we are talking about post world cup its OK but discussing about the team we are fielding at the world,?.. Then they will be a problem if we keep testing every dick and harry.

I will keep saying it, the players that have featured for is so far are OK. We need to work on our cohesiveness, stability and plans. 4 friendly matches to the world cup is not enough to keep trying fringe players.

Working on team mental strength and tactics or strategy executions should be our major priority now.

Total number of players who executed the qualifiers are probably up to 35 so far, these should be at our camp from where the final 23 will be selected.

Success, Joel Obi, Alhassan as it is should be far away from this team.

With all due respect sir, I think you all should stop involving Akpeyi name in our Goalkeeper discussion henceforth!... Isn't glaring to the blind and audible to the deaf that Akpeyi is a total flop in Eagles jeysey?

Of what use has he been to us that you guys want to take him to the world cup?... Oh! You want he him to fully disgrace us in the eyes of the world right?... Honestly I am disturbed when you guys keep mentioning his name.

Before Olympics, he was a flop for the SE. ...at the Olympics, even as one of the overage players, he was a flop

Nations cup qualifiers against Egypt, he was a flop.... Against South Africa he was a big flop

He even went as far as taking his incompetence to Krasnodar against Argentina and displayed his biggest flop of all... Yet you guys keep mentioning his name here. Its baffling.!!

To me, I will forever call his name Akpeyi basket

If Akpeyi will man our post in the world cup, I will rather we play without a keeper.

He transfers his jittery and lack of confidence to the team

Let him stay far away from our team else he will get the Escobar's treatment!!.. We don't want him..

I suspect that you guys calling his name here wants the downfall of this team.

My goalkeepers are

Uzoho
Ezenwa
Ajiboye
Alampasu

Heck, anyone else apart from Akpeyi angry
success and alhassan shouldn't be new to you...they've been around the team for sometime now...especaly alhassan has always made the supplementary list...

moreover those I want him to try for the march friendlies...are players who haven't had so much game time....the likes of kayode,Henry, ebuehi, idowu, and Joel obi...
then we're good to go....

Fantastic what Iorfa was doing when Omeruo was in boro a couple of years back, so what is he doing now sir. Motm that hasn't taken him out of the EFL.
his father is not wise....
I tell you had it been him and his father were initially serious as regards playing for Nigeria...the boy would have been an international by now....

same wisdom chuka and iwobi applied and Tammy throw away....

his Dad is very influential in Benue FA.... and as such would have use his connection path ways for his son...same way okocha did for his nephew...

but unlike iwobi who made up his mind to play for the super eagles and more direct in his decision...ilorfa senior and junior ilorfa were playing tricks..
the boy wanted play for England and as such used Nigeria as a backup plan...

he may still get a look in...but that will.be after the world cup......

i still think that guy is a beast , and he is one of our workhorse in Leicester city ,dependable and presently indispensable , his contribution will be vital come next year .
pray he stays fit for the world cup....

how I wish nancho and musa could have been wise also wit their moves....

nancho really ruined that opportunity he had to join Monaco...

from your own point of view what you said was okay. I guess you thought I was saying that Iheancho does not even know the basic of football(here in Nigeria when we say someone cannot trap a ball it means that that person is eh grin) but at the time I made that comment I did not have that in mind at all so I am also sorry for the way I replied, peace
peace too....

That's true. Until then.
let's pray NFF secure another friendly.

let all the prospects be tried....
especially onyekuru, kayode and success....
alhassan, Joel obi...those who have been sitting on the bench for sometime now...should play one of the match just to get a clue of their qualifies and who to add to the team...

yes that was exactly the reason why I wanted the strongest opponents possible for friendlies.
then let's pray we get Germany...
of a truth my brother...countries that will likely want us for friendlies are those who will be facing Similiar Africa oppositions wit us....

those likely to play Senegal & France....others may likely not see it benefiting to them.

But Bro there was nothing wrong with what he said about Iheanacho not being able to trap a ball. Ball control, trap a ball, first touch all mean the same thing na. Free your mind. You are reading his words through your perception that he hates Iheanacho but what he wrote there was not different from what others said na.
thanks for this...I have apologize to him.

Yes, he should be tried as a LB in a four man's defence as well as LWB in a 3 man's defence before given finally verdict on him. This should also be extended to other players fighting for slot. But if Elderson is fit and playing regularly for his club, he is a sure bet to make the list. No doubt about it
you're right about elderson...just that I will appreciate he sits more on the bench..while in the SE

Oh really. You have watched them and they play alike?

Well I was speaking about the unpredictability a small name but deadly team brings.

I have not watched both teams closely enough to make that conclusion in terms of how they play. Let me assume you have. I believe you then. grin
I get your points...now.
though...Iceland and Denmark have some similarities in their playing pattern..both good wit set piece too...especially when it has to do wit the head...

anyway...I will want a very strong team for friendlies at least to expose weakness in the team....
rohr is a very intelligent coach...and someone who quickly move to correct errors...proactive.

Not necessarily that. Any European opposition will do.

Like I understand England and France are in line.
That should be OK

How the friendly will be beneficial to the other country is also a factor.

Eg if Panama, Costa Rica or Japan should approach us for as friendly how do we consider it? Waste of useful slot abi?
you're right...but please take out France from it...playing them won't be necessary

ok let me educate you because it seems you are lacking there.

People have been complaining about his first touch, so what is first touch? That is the first touch you apply to a moving ball to get it under control, what does it mean to trap a ball? Trapping a ball means getting a ball under control. So people have been complaining about his first touch right(or ball control like you yourself just pointed out) and somehow when I say the same it becomes hate? Seriously you need to work on yourself honestly, next time you want to come online, take a cold bath, take a cup of coffee and then turn on your data so you don't go about talking rubbish, just a professional advice
You should advise yourself first...that is...if you've have any aorta of wisdom in you.

just read what you wrote...and match it wit your assertion...that a player that cannot trap a ball.

common sense should teach you how to pass your point.....
rather than spew out such lame words.

Will he go to Dortmund and start begging them? Or you think Dortmund will be looking for a player who cannot trap the ball effectively? Iheancho should have made the right move, Leicester city has exposed him, if he leaves now no top team will want him, it's Turkey from here
I know you will always take this talk to another level....
you simply can't hide your strong aversion towards the young man...

everyone is saying he should work on his ball control...here you talking he can't trap a ball.

watch how intelligent your comment looks....
a player can't trap a ball...but already playing in the epl...wit 8 goals in 14 matches for the national team...

how can someone who can't trap a ball at all...play this far?

you really need to work on your hate....ooo

All you said is true. However, if Vicmo was not selfish in the second leg against Cameroon, we could have won with the match.

There was a particular moment out of few I can remember vividly he was supposed to pass rather than shot.

That particular moment was when he choosed to shot the ball in the box instead of passing the ball to Echiejile who was totally unmarked on the left side in the box.

I was personally pissed off with that his move. It is for this reason i want Echiejile in the WC squad because I noticed he sometimes sneaked into scoring position but he doesn't get the pass at the right time.
I understand your point bro...
but I think...idowu should be tried in another friendly...his overlapping runs and being always in the Argentina team yard box...is something of good...better than every LB we have had of recent.

Nice list though but I don't think just a single DM is a good idea. Even Rohr has never and will never go that way. two DMs and an attacking midfielder in a 3-5-2, 4-2-3-1, or 4-3-3 is the most esseintial content and element of thebmoderb day football midfield.
mind you mikel is a.....DM.
he plays that role for Chelsea for several years...
