Napoleon55: apart from BRAZIL,GERMANY ,SPAIN AND FRANCE,we can beat every other seeded teams,or draw them. our first match is the key to qualifying,if we can b able win our first match,we can easily qualify,i just pray our first match is not against a stronger team, you are very right....I don't really fear Germany that much...because they can loose to an Africa power house...I remember Ghana and Algeria almost won them the last time they played... I fear France,Brazil and Spain more than anything...how i wish Ghana had qualified...they 're good in beating some of this European and south America teams... |

soetanoreoluwa: Yak refuse to join the team... Retired yesterday... Most prolific Nigeria striker in Epl with 95 goals one of the few players to score 4goals in a match and one the Teenagers to score hat trick in UCL and 21 goals for Nigeria making him the third highest goal scorer in Nigeria...
Yak won't make it to Russia 2018... heeya....but we shouldn't give up... we can still call him out of retirement..we need him and Martins to power the attack come next year in Russia.... after the all....the likes of zidane came out of retirement to help France qualify and almost win the world cup.... so let us not give up on yak...we can still convince him.... |

Mujtahida: 'New pretenders '? Why the tone of derogation? Imagine, imagine. Why is he not there? Abeggi. The Argentines were beaten both technically and on the energy levels. Do you know where that energy comes from? It comes from the sheer youthfulness of the team. Rohr has an unmistakable plan to reduce the average age of the team. In fact he was running high and solo with that intention before the game against SA gave him course to have a rethink. With Mikel, Musa, Moses, Onazi, Echiejile and Omeruo there's ample experience in the team.
Rohr's vision is forward. He's been testing young players. Have you seen him test them papi Martins and co? Can't you see the signs? The man is thinking about the future. The only old guard that stands a chance is Enyeama. Martins and co will not even get a look in. I don tell you.
That's how you spoke condescendingly of Ebuehi while speaking high of Aina. Ebuehi gets on the pitch and shows he's quality. Please don't call this young ones 'new pretenders'. I know that the Martins you hanker so much after became our forward when he was young. The young pretenders qualified us for the World Cup. Give them that respect. They more than deserve it. please don't mind him... just because Martins scored a goal he won't allow someone to rest.... even if he choosed to score 5 he is still not good enough for the super eagles... they can only lament here....and that will be all.... dessers scored today in a Dutch league...that all I see... |

MetalJigsaw: Cyril Dessers was on target for FC Utrecht today as they defeated Excelsior FC 3-1 at home in the Dutch league. to be honest...with you. I will want rohr to add Joel obi to the Midfield pack....Agu out.... dessers to the attack...nwakeme out... in the defense...hope he gets one of this German born CB.... and in the goal keeping department.... alampasu.... then the team is complete... |

Mujtahida: You are right. It might just be three. One CB, one midfielder to play in place of Mikel and a striker to sub or play in place of Ighalo. yeah....what the team needs now is cohesion and to perfect strategies and tactics not time to start testing players everywhere.... I will want kayode or dessers....dessers is more of a top 9 and someone I believe will turn out to be a gem....in the future...and also useful to us in Qatar 2022 quest. |

goldfish80: I see my favourite player in Europe currently is right there on the list,Nabil Fekir of course. The dude is a monster. He's got silly numbers this season. 11 goals, 4 assists in 11 games is absolutely mental. Jesus! I must confess Mbappe has nothing on the talented Fekir. He's even scored from the halfway line this season. It is heart warming to see him return to his devastating best after being out injured for a season. Sometimes, I wish I was French. If there was justice in the world, the French should make light walk of this this world cup.
Radmir Falcao should be in the also. 13 goals in 11 games is crazy stuff . to be honest...France national team has no problem other than the coach.... how I wish they have a very sound tactical coach...this world cup will just be theirs... |

realpoacher: At the bolded, this is the same reason why the English team is trash and can never win any major tournament.
Every year, the team is littered with "one season wonder" players who will fizzle out completely the next year. No cohesion, no team spirit, no understanding, no continuity... Nothing! Just 11 "hot" players running around aimlessly like headless chickens without bite. I mean, where the fuvcking hell is Townsend?
I am sorry but with all the hype of premiership their 3 lions is still shiit,... I am sorry, but with all your informed and knowledgeable analysis, your team mentality is still naive,... Both you and the 3 lions have a major problem which is LACK OF TEAM COHESIVENESS!
The problem is you both don't just realize this yet, and I am sorry to say that so long as you hold that myopic view at bolded, you won't still realize this problem even if it hits you in the face.
I mean, so left to you, you will keep changing your team with new faces all the time?... I don't get it, where do you drop team cohesion and understanding?... Regardless of how hot, good players are, they must gel, blend and understand each other very well in order to be called a team. That's why it's called a freaking team's sport.
Changing or bringing in new players everytime will never augur well for the team's success. Too many good cooks spoil the food.
A classic case of a team successful with long time blend of players is Germany.. They won the last world Cup with players who the bulk of them(about 90%) have been playing together since 2010, and they won it 2014. Are you saying that since 2010-2014 they were no better players to those they already had in the team?
A classic case of a shiity team with a shiity mentality/believe that "one season wonders" must play for the team is England and what have been their results?.... Only a world cup title to their name which they even only could win when they hosted it, even at that, it was freaking almost 60 years ago.
The same mentality is what you have (atleast from your disposition here) which I guess its because you are based in the UK. Please and please, the number of SE players tested so far it's enough. What Rohr should work on now perfecting tactics, formations, team spirit and understanding, thats all biko!!
Let's stop all these bickerings and get to work, the time is short! God bless you my brother... I just don't understand...him..even a baby will not cry fuss the way some of them here do.... moreover the players he is even canvassing for.....their inclusion in the super eagles set up ..still wanna play for England...they've not made up their mind yet on representing the super eagles... only him claim to have meet them one on one...and gotten a word from them... which only God knows how true it is....because the same player will give us Tammy treatment should we make approach now..... his knowledge of football is only restricted to England....sometimes I wonder why can't he canvass for same championship players for the 3 lions....may be they're not good enough and if they're not good enough for the 3 lions then they're definitely not good enough for the super eagles..... I remember how he downplayed the Dutch league just to made ridicule of ebuehi call up....only to eat his words after the lad dazzling display against Argentina.... |

I would ask you to indulge me and watch Tega Onomah video on YouTube. Then tell me what you think please.
The issue for Nigerian origin players is one word RELATIONSHIP without relationship getting these boys will continue to be problematic. you said the same thing only for Tammy to rub it on our face.... be honest with yourself...this boys are still hoping to play for the 3 lions someday..so going after them now..gonna likely led to embarrassment. the ones who really wanna play for us should contact rohr....let him know of their availability or better still through other players already in the super eagles like Iwobi,Moses, nacho etc.... to be true...none of them will make it to Russia....so them playing for Nigeria...gonna be after the world cup |

Now lets be frank, they were missing 3-4 key players but that was it reallly and we paraded players like Ogude and Utaka. Now I am not saying this recent win isn't something wonderful but that 2011 win was too and Argentina played with a strong squad.
PS: your definition of 'stronger argentine squad' is relative. Consider the performance of some of these players to those ones then and we have something to argue.
CcTbaba you make me laugh so otoamedi and Javier are not first team players...? likewise Di Maria and dybala? how about we having the absence of Victor Moses....Ighalo, Moses Simon and Onazi this guys are all first team players. |
