what's our business playing Egypt? for goodness sake we just played Algeria...

other countries are playing 2 friendlies in the month of March and here we are comfortable playing only Poland...

the problem we have in the super eagles are the indigenous if those guys where really livin up to expectations rohr wont have need for so many foreign assistants he has been recruiting.....

1-the advantage of giving him his debut and settled the issue of his international allegiance once and for all
2- gotten to see him perform as a RB and plus the match against Argentina we would have gotten a very good idea of his qualities
3-avoided this disheartening situation we now have with FIFA fines and deduction of points.
Playing Shehu in that match was not necessary indeed now it has proved costly.

If a youth player has experience no matter how small his unique ability and or quality will be self evident after even a few games.

How many games did KC play before he had recognition, however, maintaining that quality is the consistency that determines quality.

If you are young you should have clear cut recognition not speculative assumption or potential.

What I suspect would have happened is they probably were aware of Shehu's yellow card against Swaziland but lazily assumed that it would be wiped off automatically as we progress to the next round.

They probably didn't go the extra mile to find out the FIFA rule concerning that in this particular tournament.

Just like a lot of people were talking about head to head being used as a qualifying criterion prior to the Zambia game in Uyo (including Peterside Idah). Meanwhile for this particular edition of qualifiers it is goals difference.

There must be people in the technical committee whose job it is to read and interpret these FIFA rules.

I am one of those who is impressed with what Alampasu has been doing in training during camping and the performance of Uzoho for both Club and 45minutes debut for the Super Eagles. However, I refuse to rule out Vincent Enyeama's return because we need the best for that position.

Now come to think of the options available to us which are;
1. Akpeyi
2. Ezenwa
3. ***Uzoho*** (The anointed)
4. Alampasu

Get my stance. I don't clamor for untested players. At best I may clamour for there invitation to camp.

It is left for the coaches to field who ever they want. They see them in camp and know what they are capable of.But from my position as a TV viewer I cannot stick my neck out on a player that has not undergone that test and say he is the best or better.

I cannot stop Rohr from making Uzoho first choice for the world cup but there is no way judging from that 45mins play I will conclude Uzoho is the best. He has not undergone the type of tests Ezenwa went through.

If you have followed the world cup well enough you'll understand that Nigeria is an underdog in this tourney and we will be severely under attacks from our more illustrious opponents. The goal keeping department is a critical issue. If I remember the kind of saves Enyeama was making in our last two world cups I would become afraid that do we have any keeper in the team that can do such? Believe me when we play Argentina again you will see a completely different Argentine team in terms of attack.

Expect fire and crackers from the Croatians on our match day one.

This is why I would want Enyeama back.

On Uzoho, he, IMO is not tested enough for me to conclude he would do the job better than Ezenwa.Let me see him again in another friendly. Until then let me sit with the devil I know before I clamour for an angel I don't know that may even become a worse devil.

Maybe it is due to my kind of profession where there is little or no room for errors, which will definitely lead to loss of heavy investments, I don't trust untested and unproven professionals. That is me.

goal keepers like akpeyi were glued to the bench..and the best goalies like Thomas, theophilus and others were ignored....

I don't know the rationale for his actions even during CHAN and agbim awful performance against Mozambique and Morocco he still kept playing him and even took him to the world cup....it took the south Africa friendly game.
for akpeyi to show he was far better than agbim....and here how ezenwa kept to make the eagles list all this while baffle me...even when he never command a starting shirt for his team.....and here we have ajiboye sitting on the bench...alloy agu will still try as much as possible to pass this ezenwa our throat as much as he can....

I will prefer both be tried in this LMC Super 6 tournament.... theoplhilus we already know how good he is...ezenwa is ahead
but for ajiboye let him get some minutes of actions so as to enable us know what he can bring to the table when called upon

I always had headaches on Keshi's selections. Even the tradition of keeping 7 slots for home based players. Always quarrelling with the big players.
This is what Rohr is getting right that Keshi and Oliseh had failed. Not that Rohr is even tactically superior.


Imagine Oliseh benching Mikel for Paul Onobi, Chima Akas benching Echiejile and the forcing of Silvester Igboun on 180Million Nigerians.

our indigenous coaches will hardly learn...
these are the things the foreign coaches is doing rightly......

Keshi's selections were always problematic. It was overlooked because we won AFCON but look at the AFCON and the confederations cup team.

We had maybe 13 good players out of 22. We were carrying so many average players.

his success in the afcon entered his head...he began to think that he can transform any average player into a full fledged footballer....

his romance wit home-based players...I think could be tied to monetary gains...

he messed up himself...take it from me...no indigenous coaches will practise a fair team selection the way rohr is doing....
