Netherlands Yet To Give Up On Luring Eagles Latest ‘Oyibo’ Sensation Ebuehi

Dutch journalist Jermain Leitbig says the Netherlands are still hopeful of convincing Super Eagles right full back Tyronne Ebuehi to play for their senior national team.
Born in the Netherlands to Nigerian parents, the ADO Den Haag full back impressed a lot of Nigerians when he came on as a substitute for the Super Eagles in their 4-2 win over Argentina on Tuesday.
Despite playing for Nigeria in that game, he is still eligible to represent Holland and Jermain Leitbig says he will definitely be considered as the Dutch begin a process of rebuilding following failure to qualify for the World Cup in Russia.
” I hope you know he only played in a friendly game for Nigeria, and not a competitive game hence he can still play for the Netherlands. He plays in a position where the Dutch are short of options, so he could be an option”, Leitbig told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” Unless he plays for Nigeria next year, the Netherlands are still in with a chance to convince him, afterall it wasn’t like they didn’t try to stop him when he made the move to switch to Nigeria.

” Let’s wait but for now Nigeria hold the advantage of having him but no doubt Holland will be monitoring his performance for ADO Den Haag. The battle for his future is far from over”.

Aina offered nothing offensively in that LWB role. He was lost.

I still want to see him on the RB us because I saw him did well in that role for his club but the LB , I have my reservations.
and elderson will offer more offensively?

you talking as if we have never watch elderson play...you and I know his potentials and what he can offer...
aina for now should deputise idowu...for that LB role until deji matures...but still let deji be invited to come train with the super eagles....if possible cap tie him against sychelles then pass him over to the under 20 coach....

and idowu should be cap tied in the world cup proper....hopefully a better outing will fetch him a better club with reasonable national laws...unlike the Russia nasty rules...

Well, I am not yet convinced he is better than Echiejile.

It also seems he can't play LWB in a 3-5-2 formation. Maybe he is more comfortable at the RWB because I saw him played there in his club.
compare aina claimed abysmal outing in the colours of SE and elderson play against Cameroon and Zambia and spot the difference....

I hitherto missed the match against Argentina but had to watch it use my mb yesterday watch the full match on YouTube...from all I see....aina did well not bad at all...I doubt if elderson would have done any better....
he did well Mark his man...but had problem wit covering his space....tracking back fo help the defense....

Yeah! You're right. Maybe after the world cup.

I think Aina should be tested in the RB role before we final pass our verdict on him.
to be honest with you....if we really wanna be sincere with ourselves...
with this new rohr new tactics...aina will play better than elderson...
one thing I see about aina is his smooth passes and ball control that elderson lack...

let's be sincere aina is better than elderson even in that LB role...

Please you often talk about objectivity. Follow your own rules. You said some time ago that you have not watched Ebuehi play, so how come you say Ebuehi is not on Aina's level?

Whatever your response will be, remember that the man who has pegged down that RB plays in Cyprus and you know where the league in Cyprus ranks
that's my problem wit him....
he has a myopic view regarding issues...

Confirmed – Rohr Axe Ezenwa, Uzoho Could Debut Against Argentina, Mikel Returns

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has revealed the changes he will make in his squad from the one that drew 1-1 with Algeria when they face Argentina on Tuesday in Russia.
The coach confirmed the return of captain John Obi Mikel and also explained why he left the Tianjin Teda midfielder out of the squad for the last game against Algeria.
“Mikel of course will come back. He didn’t play against Algeria because it was not a good moment for him coming from China. Playing two games in four days is a risk for him and we both agreed that was best for him to sit out”, Rohr said
He went a step further by also hinting at a possible debut for newly invited Deportivo La Coruna Francis Odinaka Uzoho in place of goalkeepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa.
“Against Argentina we will make some changes with two or three players. It will be interesting to see another goalkeeper. We have to work hard to be better.”

they are still very young and can still have long term future with England. the truth is that solanke would never accept a call up from Nigeria. I wish him all the best with his England career
you mean England will integrate all of them...ejaria,lookman,Tammy,ojo,edun,solanke,ndukwe,bashiru etc

it is impossible...you're talking as if you dont know England...they will drop this players as soon as they get their full national who plays in same par or better than them.....
moreover they have their own nationals too who are also playing well....
so the competition gonna be strong...

to be of dual nationality and still make up the first 11 in the 3 lions squad you must be exceptional good.....someone like alli who they don't have replacement for.....

but I really fear for many of them....just imagine aluko case with the coach who made a racist remark on her....no one ever thought such could evolve from a civilized country like England...

they still see those guys as partly Nigeria...even though they all claim to be British.....

Ok brother, we just have to make use of what we have now. We have time to bring in backup for sensitive positions for now.

Salisu isn't a bad coach though, what he if suggested players but never looked into?

I just need a backup or confirmed leg for LB incase Elderson become worse off. Aina and one more leg needed.

As for mikel position, it's very needed o. Thank God I'm not the only one worried about the lack of a true replacement in the current squad.

One more thing, what if Enyeama doesn't improve or get to play regularly? What happens to our GK postition? Yes Akpeyi as 1st choice or promote Uzohor to first choice? Ezenwa is a no-no when it comes to first choice. Is that plateau United gk worse than what we have currently?
we have never had the best in the domestic league being called as 2nd or 3rd chioce goal keepers for the national team...the case of agbim still fresh in our memory the best goalkeepers in the domestic scene are always bypassed for less ones....

ezenwa is not the best we have in the domestic scene not even first chioce for his club side......but how he kept getting national call ups baffles me...

that plateau United goal keeper is way better and a better ball playing goal keeper....

I think the likes of alampasu and uzoho should be tried...and let see what they have to offer...

I am not in support of keeping them in the bench...same thing keshi did no one ever thought akpeyi was better than agbim...
not not until his full debut against south Africa....

I think them all should be given a chance...I have a deep feeling that either of ajiboye, uzoho or alampasu could just steal the show.....

regarding Mikel's replacement....I don't there will be any...for now. same vacuum we had after okocha and kanu retirement we will have when Mikel retires....
until we have a player who will emerge with his own style and skills...

so unfortunate...

So we still have issues covering the LB position...(natural LB). I thought Idowu was a LCD? Is he fast enough for the LB position?

I wish Aina was naturally left legged, using a makeshift RB and LB has many disavantages when you face demonic forwards who can turn and twist life out of you.

I'm just afraid of life without Mikel in the worldcup proper incase he picks up an injury, who replaces him? Iwobi can't do that job, he can't hold balls for long.

I wish I can also talk to Rohr, Joel Obi is needed badly.
to be honest that salisu yusuf eehh...I doubt if he makes any input at all....

that man is like a round peg in a square hole prior his appointment he did nothing spectacular in the npfl...

someone who knows his onions as a coach and have been watching super eagles play for a while now....will not rule out Joel obi...
your fear about mikel...I also hold...

and for the LB position...be as it may I will still prefer aina to elderson...he has the pace and he can as well make good crosses and join the attack....Alderson can be messed up by any intelligent winger...saw his play against Cameroon...
I am not sold on him...

the hitherto options for the LB slot...
are still evolving...nura in as Roma and amuzie playing in the Swiss league now...

though I would have wanted deji...he is still very small...as for me I won't mind invite him as cover up....he is good in free kicks and nearly passes moreover he can also play as a DM.

let's see how idowu integrate into the team...he is a LB.

I don't think he hates Tammy....I watched bit of the match too....
he wasn't imposing and the play was barely average....
players like loftus cheek, tipper and co played better....Germany would have won that match....

from all I could see....I think he may likely not make Southgate world cup sqaud..
moreover if the coach and the FA are really serious....England can likely win the next world cup in Russia....
or better still Qatar 2022...
if only they can translate the progress of their youth teams to their main national team

I dont see Germany winning....next world cup....
to me....Spain, England, belguim (though the coach tactics still a suspect of which they can flop against a highly tactical south America side) and Brazil....winning it.

Corruption in the UK is subtle and once on the inside it becomes quite obvious. I will give you some indicative pointers you can fill in the blanks. But first check this link below

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/premier-league-managers-accused-of-taking-transfer-bungs-by-football-agents-a7333941.html

Then consider this

1. Alex Fergus and Sam Allardyce both have sons who are agents. Moyes and Pep have brother who are agents. I could give personal specific examples. What do you thinks going on clear conflict of interest and undue favour.

2. Each player is somebody's meal ticket better new player comes in his meal ticket goes out. Therefore meal ticket must be protected.

3. Unholy alliances which means recruitment manager's are linked with particular agents. So once a player comes in the agent makes sure that everyone will have reason to smile.

4. Manager sells player he gets his cut offshore or any other clandestine arrangement. Dele Alli agents when he was sold to Tottenham were the same agents of his Manager plus he get shares in the company. See below
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4138156/MK-Dons-didn-t-know-former-boss-shares-agent.html

5. Top player in Manchester city youth academy needs to make way for expensive import. In contrived practice game academy strikers told, "Mate we know what you can do, so today your job is to give the ball to Enrico" (for example) . Obviously Enrico looks great scores goals and they then justify paying £1million for a 15/16 year old. Recruitment team are appeased by agent after hefty unjustified transfer fee.

6. Championship team in the Midlands see video of prospective striker. Tell his representative, can't bring him in, he's going to prevent our two England youths from progressing. In other words he is better than our strikers and what's in it for me if we sign him.

7. Premiership team player goes on trial after various attempts prevent player from coming in. Finally plays in one game scores a hatrick and two assists contract offered under public duress. But later withdrawn on break down of communication.

I could go on and on and Onazi that's a small glimpse from mainly personal experiences.

With national team set up its very difficult to manipulate the system without a players meeting the
required standards. Particularly with all the structured academy games and statistics there for all to see week in week out.
in other words corruption there is a bit complex...and not too obvious..
I doubt if we will call that corruption here in Nigeria....that's like a normal way of life over here....
corruption in Nigeria stems from that gratification quest...where everyone believes they ought to be given token after doing their job...

no one does things for free....
you give a man a loan he will use 20% appreciate the bank manager...10% for wide parties and the remaining 70% he will now channel into the purpose of the loan...
tell how he will meet up...

mind you many jostling for cadet team jobs here in Nigeria are doing so....because of the gratification token they gonna get from players signings.....

corruption in the uk is light but here in Nigeria it is heavy and visible for all to see and live wit...
