Nonsense , amazon did not make money for ten years yet jeff bezos is the richest man in the world today, everyone should know e-commerce is a long-term game that's why I was worried when nigeria's e-commerce investors were looking for quick cash

The world looked at amazon then waiting for it to collapse exactly the same way you are commenting now but it didn't its rock solid today

If pioneers like jumia and konga don't try we will continue to be in the dark ages, they provide a very valuable service and they are busy if not profitable

Also if we follow your logic we would still have no mastercard no internet etc because nigeria is "not ready"

Even if a company like konga dies its logistics arm and will continue running, kos logistics

The truth is even if these companies don't survive the next generation of e-commerce companies will learn from them and succeed, where are myspace hi5 friendster today, facebook learn from them and its striving

Honestly they have even made nipost get off their ass, today nipost seem 5 times better than they used to be and logistics services in nigeria are now maturing

konga 1.0 buy foreign investors is already dead we are now watching konga 2.0 which is owned by nigerian investors who can give it some time if zinox does it like bezos in time they may just get it right
Truer words have never been spoken, but all these ecommerce guys in Nigeria seriously need to tinker with their business models to survive in this our bloody terrain. I had high hopes for Yuadala when they came with their online/offline model, but i still don't know what is doing them.

Not bad at all I must say..Great move, now let's see how rugged Nigerian market forces and demons respond to this..With my experience with the Nigerian market I can only say it's one of the most unpredictable markets out there and no amount of planning or strategy can prepare you enough for the ogbanje forces that lay in wait
Hahaha...Oga u dn blow my fuse ooo, but true true shaa, d Nigerian market can be demonic sometimes.

There was ds girl I had a crush on in secondary school , she joined our school in JSS2 and in SS1 d feeling was so strong and I wrote my letter ..d days of ditto... She promised to give me an answer the next Monday. I ironed my uniform and added "blue" we call it aro kiun, the thing sparkle well and I poured moms powder on my uniform to form perfume only for our principal to ask us all to recite the 2nd stanza of national anthem (Oh God of creation) and d whole school fumbled and it was a beating galore. All those agric, geography, maths and fine art teachers that can beat for states. They ruined my day. I cried my eye balls out..even my crush cried and I hated d way she couldn't hold it. Her mouth was so wide as she was crying and that ended all the feelings. The crushed and d crusher sat with half of our nyansh because d other part was hell.
Now this is one hell of a narration. Thumbs up.

I love foreign music especially the hip hop/rap genre so much. I was a exposed to hip hop/rap music at an early age (2002) by my elder who used to play Eminem's music video always. I got so used to the hip hop/rap style that any other thing sounded like thrash! Little wonder Nigerian music makes no sense at all to me.
Here are some songs that made my year (2017):
@ Weeknd - star boy
@Camillo Cabello - Havana
@Post Malone - Rockstar
@Portugal the Man- feel it steel
@Imagine Dragons- thunder/ believer
@Snake chips - All my friends @G eazy-No limit
@Kendrick Lamar- Humble
@T.I - Blackman
@Lucas Graham - 7 years
@AugustAlsina - Benediction
I don tire to type jor...
7years and benediction.

All acceptable figures of speech.
Rape is not.

Congrats on your Barca win.
Inasmuch as i do not like the use of the word rape, but for sake the sake of education and putting the record straight, the word rape has so many meanings and can be used just like the posters did on this thread.

Got a relatively fair rate of 330 at $60.43(20k) including withdrawal charge at First Bank. Overall its a good deal. I need to search for ATMs dispensing 40k once to reduce the charges.
Check access bank. They give $118.11@40k making it a rate of aprox. 338.6

I am addicted to reading, I always feel there's an information am not knowing, the more i know the more i want to know though some reading is dangerous, one time I read this manifesto by breivik , the Norway terrorist who killed alot of people in 2011, I remember watching it live on TV, the book almost made me Islamophobia.

The Senator only would want to help stop the influx of the "children of Peace" from escaping from the "peaceful" atmosphere they created in Syria and Libya, and enter into Italy to create "Peace".
Illegal immigrants or Islamic refugees must be kept outside of non-Islamic area to protect non-Islamic individuals from 'Peace'.
Hahaha, too much peace in one post.

I am yet to try fidelity bank. When I am done with what I am writing, I will go out there and look for a Fidelity bank. I will withdraw N20k and see their rate.

Business / Re: A Nairalander's Experience With Bank Of Industry (documents Attached) by Hungarriman: 8:21pm On Feb 27, 2018
traeces:
* concluding part of my post

POST OFFER LETTER EVENTS
Following the receipt of the offer letter, I was made to write and submit a letter of loan acceptance, a letter of undertaking to pay interest during moratorium and a letter of attestation from my solicitors indicating that I understood everything I had signed and accented to. I was made to sign several copies of a 20 paged loan agreement and to resubmit forms to my guarantors to sign and submit and also swear affidavits in court. All of these we did and submitted before the 6th of November, 2017.
I then inquired to know how events were to proceed there from. I was told my four suppliers in Kaduna, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Lagos will be verified, thereafter I will be required to pay the 10% deposit and then the suppliers will get letters of credit to supply. I raised the need for all these to happen before December, 31st 2017 as it would position my business advantageously in the market place and they gave me all the assurances that they will make that happen and asked me to go and try to raise the 10% security so I could pay once the account was opened in BOI MFB. I said even though that was going to be a problem as I had no prior knowledge, I was going to try and even borrow at interest if I had to but since that was meant to happen after they had finished verifying my suppliers, the onus was on BOI to do the verifications first, then I will be provided bank details into which to pay the 10% security. That was how we parted that 6th November, 2017.
All through December, 2017, I was in touch with my suppliers some of whom had done repeat business with BOI in the past but who expressed so much unwillingness to deal on BOI’s terms and it was so difficult for me to understand why anyone will so distrust a government agency that much. Now I know better. I was worried that throughout December, 2017, not a single one of my suppliers had been contacted nor verified and I kept contacting BOI’s office and reminding them of the lapsing timeframe but nothing I heard showed any commitment. At some point, I wondered if Bank of Industry was not a government ploy to get struggling and already disadvantaged entrepreneurs like me who provided their own road, electricity, water, etc to part with money they did not have in the guise of nonrefundable fees. Because it looked as if the bank’s interest and sole mandate was getting me to pay that Fifty Two Thousand Naira (N52, 000.00) non refundable fee which they had succeeded at and which was why nobody was doing anything anymore now that the money had been paid.
That was how 1 month, 2 months and 3 months elapsed with some of my suppliers still not contacted nor verified. Up until this moment, the bank has not felt the need to reach me about anything after all, I can’t sue the bank neither has the bank lost anything. If anything, it has gained my Fifty Two Thousand Naira (N52, 000.00) non refundable fee. The ultimate loser here is poor me and I can go to hell for all the bank cares. This is my experience with Nigeria’s Bank of Industry and I hope you take it into consideration when next you consider taking the government of Nigeria or any of her agencies serious.

And if you see the razzmatazz with which this people advertise their love for SME's, which way Nigeria. This is one of the reasons that has made guys, decide to find their way into the Nigerian government and borrow the money directly from the treasury. I chuckled when i saw #52000 just to read letter, this is the modus operandi in Nigeria. Baba even the letter that contains the list of people going to heaven will not be this expensive to read naa.

How do you think all these other guys got to where they are today? First, they all had one or two opportunities and they grab these opportunities with everything they've got. Alakija did the same, she was give an opportunity and she took it. You think the men you've mentioned made their wealth by simply doing their businesses the simple way! They all mingled and still mingling with governments. They excel on governments goodwill.

Why do you think Dangote was with Jonathan before election results were announced and few hours after Buhari was announced winner, he left Jonathan and went to sit with Buhari. Why has it been difficult for the US to pass any serious bill on gun control.

Whenever any government in US organizes bigtime election fund raisers what kind of people show up at these funds raisers? It's the likes of the ones you've mentioned above. Some them don't get oil wells or contracts from government, but go and check government policies as regards these people's businesses, for example Dangote and cement manufacturing in Nigeria. How do you think Alhaji got the license to start a private refinery?

When Oprah wias donating to Obama's campaigns, donated to Michelle's special projects she will not loud it now and u won't be there too, then when she wants to do an all access interview for the Obama's or even a documentary to be aired on O network with advertisers paying millions to get on board, then you people will start saying she's the only that can move such weight. The thing is some might get oil wells, some licenses, some goodwill, some favourable policies, etc. The fact and truth is, there's no $billionaire that does not make friends with government or got to where they are without ever making friends with government, how and what was at stake may be different. And you too my friend will do the same when or if u get to that point in life!
Now this is actually what she is supposed to be telling us how to do or tell us another story entirely and not given us some Faith based story. She should be telling us about how to position ourselves in other to benefit from Nigeria's Commonwealth. My problem is not with her success as a Nigerian businesswoman because i know how these businesses are done in Nigeria(the Nigerian way) but with her storyline. Moreover this other people you mentioned created values through products and services. None of them is just "chopping" their countries national resources.
