This nonsense remuneration package needs to be looked into once more. There must be conditions to benefit from this type of largesse and not just left blanket like this.

For instance,
1. Any political office holder with any link to corruption case (e.g Farouk Lawan) may not benefit from such package until the case is finalized.

2. Instead of the flat 300% of basic salary irrespective of number of years served, it can be something like 100% of basic for between 3 and 5 years of service; 200% for between 5 and 7 years and 300% for 8years above.

Besides,the two candidates in question are yorubas.Ambode is yoruba and so is Jimi Agbaje.It is not as if an igbo man is contesting against a yoruba man,in which case it would have been seen as an ethnic issue.
Igbos and yorubas have been co-existing peacefully in Lagos and every other part of Nigeria.The Oba should talk like someone who is educated cos this statement from him does not make any sense.
Why bring the igbos into a contest that is between two yorubas.Is it only igbo people that will vote for Jimi Agbaje?.There are many yorubas that will vote for Agbaje and there are many yorubas that will vote for Ambode.There are also people from other ethnic groups here in Lagos that will vote for both candidates.
A true leader should make peace and not incense violence in the land.Remember that your political ambition is not worth the blood of any Lagosian.
