NYSCRe: American-born And Raised Nigerians Who Want To Do NYSC by hydroking23(m): 5:05pm On Mar 10, 2011
Personally, I grew up 100% American in my upbringing seeing I lived with my mom (African American) most my life. It wasn't until I started living with my dad (Nigerian) that I really learned and understood anything that had to do with my Nigerian background. After coming to visit Nigeria a few times I found felt as if I could relate better with other Nigerians who were born and bred in 9ja or others that were like me "half & half". grin grin

Plus I found out that I got a little more respect from my fellow 9ja peeps who were born and bred there when they knew I had been "home" a few times despite spending all my life in the states. One thing is for sure the culture shock is something else,

If he is worth N10 billion, the woman should demand and make sure she gets at least N 9 billion from that wealth. 90% of your wealth or nothing.
Unfortunately there are some ladies who are dead bent on collecting this type of percentage when it comes to a divorce settlement.  What happened to Paul McCartney always sticks out in my mind.  In this case have the allegations against the Husband even been proved?  Do we even have the basis for why the husband is seeking divorce??  It could even be possible that the Wife wasn't this Angel you all are portraying to be.  The husband denied all the allegations so the burden of proof is on the Wife as to why she is being divorced.  She doesn't strike me as that intelligent to begin with knowing the husband has all of these foreign and domestic assets, yet her name isn't on a single document.  That alone should void her from getting jack shi t.  Theres 3 sides to every story as you must know so let's get all the facts before we start talking about who did what, who deserves what and who God should judge at the end of it all.

Are prenuptial agreements used in Nigerian divorce proceedings?  If so, you guys that wanna trick off on ur wife better get one of these in place so you can at least put your financial agreements in order with your wife or soon to be ex-wife so she doesn't get less or more than she deserves in event you hit and quit  grin
PoliticsRe: "We Wont - Repeat - Wont Renew Iwu's Tenure" Jonathan Assures Obama by hydroking23(m): 8:42am On Apr 12, 2010
We should be happy that Obama is suggesting what Nigeria needs to do to clean up its electoral process. The alternative could be alot worse, IE Afghanistan, Iraq. The British left us with this mess we currently call Nigeria, and look where it has gotten us today. If the U.S. wants to come in and clean it up, fine allow them. They don't want any other confused, silver spoon fed, muslim extremist influenced Nigerians trying to blow up airlines on American soil. If trying to ensure we take all the steps necessary to clean up our impotent, misguided form of democracy, then I'm all for it.

though I'm in support of the agitation by the Niger Deltans, isn't the reduction in oil that will occur from the blown up facilities going to affect the average nigerian more than the cabals who have billions of naira and can buy fuel at almost any price.  If they really want to ensure that their demands are met, they should also think of a way to get rid of the people in power that are making sure that the situation doesn't change.  Even if they destroy every single oil rig, those bad people will still be in power. putting in place better leaders will remedy the situation much quicker than relying on those who don't have their interest at heart.
Real Talk,

At this point in the struggle, blowing up pipelines does nothing but make the situation worse. We've seen production increase, yet theres still scarcity. So now they want to blowup these pipelines and decrease production which is only going to mess us up even more. Its the Government thats the problem and until these "freedom fighters" start targeting those who reap the benefits of all this oil money, they aren't fighting for my freedom or anyone's freedom in the Niger Delta. A group of people not from the Niger Delta is orchestrating this whole fiasco, so what do the freedom fighters do; destroy pipelines in Niger Delta Land and terrorize Niger Deltans. That my friend is the product of a group of people who have seen the mental oppression of Colonialism. Until those "freedom fighters" go up NORTH and start targeting those corrupt leaders who are f*cking us in our a$$ then their efforts are fruitless.

Those countries you mentioned are governed by laws. In Nigeria these importers will simply form a cabal and ensure that local refineries never work. Read The Guardian editorial on this issue. What many are saying is that the government should take the basic step of fixing the refineries first. Then your free market might make sense.
You are so correct. I've noticed putting the Cart before the Horse is the Nigerian Standard. Make the refineries work then DEREGULATE.

Skye Bank levies charges against you for even contemplating to make a transaction with them.

My recommendations are GTB and Zenith. I have a dorm acct with them and overseas transfers are quick and easy and there is no B.S.

The docrines did but when the prophet came they did not accept him partly because he never arose from the jewish tribes rather he arose from the arabs. Just the same way the jews never accepted Jesus despite the numerous prophecies about him in the old testament.

There are several verses in the bible muslims believe made specific references to prophet Muhammed (PBUH ) and there are several threads here to that regards . I will not derail this topic but will search for the links for you and post it here for you to read.
Any links provided would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance. And my sincere apologizes for going off topic
IslamRe: Islam And Exorcism by hydroking23(m): 3:21pm On Jun 10, 2009
Its a very interesting read.  My question is regarding Islam, Judaism and Christianity.

Why is it that neither Judaism nor Christianity predict the coming of another prophet who will redefine or reestablish a new or revised doctrine of God?

Mohammed is regarded as the Seal of Prophets or the last prophet of God, yet his coming was never predicted or spoken of from Judaism or Christianity.  Yet the Hewbrew Prophets predicted the coming of Jesus and Jesus predicted the coming of False prophets after him.  So why don't any of these doctrines tell us about the coming of a new doctrine(Islam) or a new/last Prophet(Mohammed)?
