Today, I sat for my jamb with hope and aspirations that I will bag an admission this year after been denied last year But D manner of approach to preparations was not encouraging. After getting to the centre as early as 6:08 the exams didn't start until around 10 am, they said the server is down for now and we were forced to sit down in the stuffy Hall After the commencement of the exam all was going well until I proceed to Physics In short both physics and mathematics over(without exaggerating) 25-30 questions got k-leg Is either there is question but no option(they just list option A,B, C, D) OR question nd options no diagram (diagram related questions) All my complains to invigilators yield no result as they keep chorusing "it was from jamb" "it was from jamb" Pls help tell Dibu itz not a must to use technology Rome was not built in a day. Don't kill aspirants dreams In the name of we are in 21st century Imagine all the questions in the same state like the 30 questions. It would have been itz from jamb I thank God itz nt more than that and am sure I have made it. To all other aspirants "God will see us through" |

Nigerian troops on Thursday succeeded in clearing terrorists out of Madagali, the last major town held by Boko Haram terrorists in Nigeria’s Adamawa State. The Director Defence Information, Chris Olukolade, a Major General, who is on a tour of mission areas in the North-East, announced the development via a press statement. He said there were no casualties on the side of the Nigerian forces, which included the Army, the Airforce and other security agencies. He said mop-up operation is ongoing in the town. The ridding of Adamawa of terrorists is an extension of the string of successes the Nigerian troops have had since they commenced an extensive six-week anti-Boko Haram operation on February 14. The troops routed terrorists from different towns and communities in Adamawa, Borno, Yobe and Gombe, including Bara, the headquarter of Gulani Local Government Area of Yobe State, Gulak, the Headquarter of Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State. Other locations also cleared in the course of the operation, according to the military, include Shikah, Fikayel, Tetebah, Buza, Kamla and Bumsa. The troops also recovered Monguno, Marte, Gamboru Ngala, Dikwa and Baga among other big towns and communities. On Wednesday, the military announced it dislodged the Boko Haram terrorists from Lame/Bura forest between Ningi and Torro Local Government Areas of Bauchi State. Sani Usman, Acting Director, Army Public Relations, said troops from 33 Brigade of the Nigerian Army cleared the area of terrorists in an operation which started last weekend. “Quite a number of terrorists were killed, their weapons and equipment destroyed. Similarly, a sizeable number of arms, ammunitions, food stuffs, Hilux vehicles, motorcycles and Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) were recovered by the troops,” Mr. Sani said. The troops, he said, also recovered three Hilux vehicles, 12 motorcycles, four AK-47 rifles, a Fabrique Nationale rifle, one Small Machine Gun (SMG), one Police Teargas pistol, 36 Primed IEDs, 56 rifles magazines and over 500 rounds of 7.62 milimetre ammunition. Other items recovered are six jerrycans of groundnut and palm oil and several Improvised Explosive Device-making materials, amongst others. The liberated area, he said, was an hideout and operating ground for the terrorists. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/178398-breaking-adamawa-now-free-of-boko-haram-terrorists-dhq.html |
The Nigerian Senate has defended its confirmation of former Lagos governorship aspirant, Musiliu Obanikoro as a minister. Obanikoro was confirmed by the Senate on Wednesday, March 11, despite allegations of election rigging levelled against him. In defending the legislators’ decision however, Senate spokesperson, Enyinnaya Abaribe stated that Obanikoro was innocent of all accusation until proven guilty. “Well, what we know as a matter of fact is that there were allegations against Senator Musiliu Obanikoro,” Abaribe said. “But in our law and the Constitution of Nigeria, anything that is a mere allegation, that is not in any way a court decision, is nothing but a mere allegation and every citizen of Nigeria is deem to be innocent until proven guilty,” he added. Abaribe also stated that some of the governors who opposed Obanikoro’s confirmation had pending fraud cases before the courts and were only free because they hadn’t been proven guilty. He argued that Obankoro also deserved the same benefit of doubt that they were given. “And even the Senators, who addressed the press conference and spoke about the qualification and non-qualification of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro are enjoying this privilege because some of them have EFCC cases and they are still in the Senate because of this privilege of being innocent until proven guilty,” he said. “They cannot enjoy that privilege themselves and sit in this senate and then turn around and say that somebody else cannot enjoy that privilege. And the laws of Nigeria is very clear. You are innocent until you are proven guilty and that is what played out on the floors of the Senate,” he added. Obanikoro had been accused of participating in election rigging during the June 2014 polls in Ekiti State. He has however denied the allegations http://pulse.ng/politics/musiliu-obanikoro-senate-defends-ex-governorship-aspirant-s-confirmation-id3560532.html |
