under18: Wow, you are sooo right! Except for the word I put in bold letters. England was no threat before their exit lol. And yeah, I'm no longer watching any World Cup matches again, they would be so boring. It's all a plan for Germany to win. Good luck to them. For me, World Cup ended yesterday. |
Politics / Re: Why Are People Focusing On Nigerian Criminals? by IAH(f): 10:49am On Jul 02, 2006 |
Truewhite is only reacting the way any HUMAN BEING would react if he/she is betrayed, robbed and made fool of. To think he trusted the lady, loved her, etc., I know it can be painful & frustrating. So let the PERFECT human beings who are immune to anger stop shouting at him. As if you won't do worse if you found yourself in his shoes. *loud hiss* This is a clear scam so no need defending it with baseless arguments. Nevertheless, truewhite you are a FOOL. Sorry but there's no other way to put it, that's what you are. Only a fool gets fooled this way and with all the awareness and stories going on about scam, you still let someone pull the wool over your eyes, parted with your hard-earned money and gave it to someone you've never seen. Isn't that foolish of you? Don't defend Nigerian Scammers, they are guilty as charged. Don't defend White Mugus, they are foolish. To support any of the two parties involved does not make sense. |

Sports / Re: France(1) Vs Brazil(0): World Cup. Zidane Or Ronaldo? by IAH(f): 8:49am On Jul 02, 2006 |
And that's the end of the World Cup for me. I'll never watch any match again. I still can't believe it. I hope France doesn't win this World Cup sha. They don't deserve it. A true World Cup champion should win all its matches in the World Cup. |

Not good enough, but they thrashed Ghana 3-0! That was effortless. Go Brazil!!! Now imagine if they were at their best. 10-0!!! Hahahahaha! They are just passing a message across that they don't need to struggle too much to win. |

Family / Re: An Arranged Marriage: Is It Right? by IAH(f): 6:38pm On Jun 26, 2006 |
saintchux: I disagree. Introducing people to each other does not qualify for "arranged marriage", this is because the 'introducer'/middleman might not have a marriage motive for introducing the two to each other and does not do more than introduction. "Arrange" in the English context means a pre-planned, organised scheme. That is, the person introduces you to the bachelor/spinster and then goes ahead to persuade you and make plans and schemes to make you marry the person. This is wrong and it is akin to forced marriage. |

I would only believe the "It’s not addictive" statement if it comes from people with less than 1,000 post counts. |

Good job, Davidylan and Grizzly. We are having more objective analysis now, other than people who just come here and make comments with sentiments, lol. |
Family / Re: An Arranged Marriage: Is It Right? by IAH(f): 1:02pm On Jun 26, 2006 |
It's wrong men. Totally wrong. No one can choose my husband for me because I'm the one that's going to live with him for the rest of my life, not the 'choosers/arrangers'. This is a major decision that should be down to personal choice. |

Sports / Re: World Cup - England Vs Ecuador - Second Round Match by IAH(f): 6:08pm On Jun 25, 2006 |
See how England struggled to beat small Ecuador. Not impressive. You just wait for either Portugal/Holland to maul them in the Quarter finals. Sorry Rev. |
Culture / Re: Nigerian Baby Names by IAH(f): 3:56pm On Jun 24, 2006 |
Fayola could mean: Fi ayo la - Use joy to lick (lick what? ) Fi ayo la - Use joy to succeed OR Fi ayo la - Succeed happily Fa yo ola - Crawl to draw out wealth/riches But that is if it's Yoruba. Who knows if it's actually Swahili since the website says 'African' origin. I remember I've once asked Medube the meaning of Fayola before but he didn't answer. |
