Family / Your Spouse Or Your Child: Who Comes First? by IAH(f): 3:07am On Jun 10, 2006
We've had so many threads on "Your spouse or your parents?", "Your mother or your wife", etc. Now let's see with kids. If the need arises, who would you give preference to? Who would you favour over the other? Your husband/wife or your kid(s)?
For me, it'd be difficult to choose but in the end, maybe I would choose my husband o. cheesy
Note: You can't choose both.

kazey:

Yahoo is not no 1 at anything, please note that.

At least, it's No 1 in traffic - Alexa ranking. tongue

Seun:

I'll ask again:
How do you know that Yahoo is the most successful website? How do you measure website success?

Probably due to the fact I stated above?

Business / Re: Please Help! Regular Courier Service Needed Urgently by IAH(f): 6:02pm On Jun 06, 2006
Depending on the weight of what you want to ship, you may try DHL Danzas. It's different from the normal DHL. Note that they have a minimum weight they handle, so you can only use it if you are shipping large volumes.

If anyone is sending demos, send your own version of a popular song. Afterall he needs just your vocal prowess. do not send your original songs to a faceless label.

Religion / Re: Why Are Christians Always Trying To Convert You? by IAH(f): 6:29am On Jun 01, 2006
And hehe, I forgot to add. Sometime ago, I went to visit someone in Lautech Ogbomosho and on the wall of one house, they put boldly something like this;
"Warning: It is an offence for outsiders to come and preach in this house. Offenders will be dealt with." And they also put the Yoruba translation. LOL! Those were not the exact words but it was something like that and I laughed and laughed when I read it. cheesy cheesy
I'm sure any Bro or Sis who gets there to preach and reads that go quickly take style to reverse his/her Legedes Benz. cheesy
Religion / Re: Why Are Christians Always Trying To Convert You? by IAH(f): 6:14am On Jun 01, 2006
MissEniola, you got me laughing my ass off. Especially with the referral part, lol hahahaha.
I'm a Christian but to be honest, I feel you! What's with all these forceful conversion? Personally o, I don't open the door for the door-to-door folks whether it's evangelism or those forceful sales people. If I mistakenly open the door and they want to start preaching, I say thanks I'm also a Christian and they would still be saying "ok good. Tell us about your Christian life. How's your life with Christ?" and still talk talk talk. Annoying! Leave me alone!!! Lol
Personally, I feel evangelism should only be by TV, Radio or magazine/newspaper pages whereby someone has a choice of changing the channels if you don't want to watch, or tuning to another station if you don't want to hear or flipping to the next page in the case of newspapers. It's like unobtrusive text ads on the internet where user can choose to click or not compared to pop-ups which is like 'in your face' and annoying. Those forceful people are pop-ups, lol. That's my own view o. lipsrsealed

Celebrities / Re: Atorise Vs. Dare Melody by IAH(f): 11:16pm On May 28, 2006
They both sing and sound alike. But I prefer Dare Melody. smiley Actually, Atorise is more popular. I got to listen to Dare's songs on abeokuta.org, I didn't know him before.

Religion / Re: Can You Marry Someone Who Doesn't Believe In God? by IAH(f): 10:06pm On May 28, 2006
Seun:

IAH, if you marry a non-believing husband, he has to be tolerant.  Let us explore this issue of tolerance.

Does it mean he has to:
- Go to church with you from time to time?
- Let you take the children to church when they'll rather stay at home with him?
- Refrain from teaching the children about evolution or making them doubt the word of God?

It's possible to be tolerant when there are just two of you, but once you have children there'll be no more tolerance!

All this one na story. All I know is that I aint ditching someone who possesses those enviable qualities you listed above just because he doesn't believe God. Haaa No Way!!!

The only thing I can't tolerate is intolerance itself. I just hate it when people try to ridicule other people's beliefs. It's just not right.

About children,The children should be allowed their own free will to decide. Even God gave man his own free will to "choose whom ye shall serve" so why shouldn't children be allowed their own free will?
Forcing children to accept one's religious beliefs (or disbelief) does not work in the long run. No wonder we see children of Pastors going astray and children of non-religious people becoming staunch believers, children of Imams becoming Christians, etc.
As a child, I was exposed to different kinds of beliefs, but I chose the one makes the most sense to me!!

By the way, Nferyn is an atheist married to a Christian. I would like to hear some practical views. smiley

2cantango:

I don't try to convert other people, I don't ram my belief down anyone's throat, so I expect the same consideration and respect in return.

Exactly! And that is what we call Tolerance. I think it's selfish to want others to respect one's belief/disbelief when you don't respect others' own.
Investment / Re: Zenith Bank Shares Offer: Opportunity Or Hype? by IAH(f): 2:46pm On May 28, 2006
For real, you need 25 billion Naira to start a bank in Nigeria. I'm not joking. smiley And about the shares, sorry I don't do shares. Maybe you should start a new topic to call on interested people? wink
