Investment / Dexit Network Mainnet Is Tomorrow (29-oct-2022) by Iamblessed007: 2:48pm On Oct 28, 2022
Have you heard of dexit network. Their Mainnet is tomorrow . After almost 2 years of developing and Certik audit which was successful completed, the Blockchain is now ready

It is a layer 1 Blockchain project, fully compatible with EVM and support smart contract functionality. The MC is about 4million. Over 80k transaction already completed on their chain.

I will encourage you to go check it out and buy it too. It is the best time to position yourself and investment for the next bull cycle before it becomes the next big Blockchain.

The juicy part is that, with their Blockchain, they offer developers up to 45% gas fees returned as reward. Which is a good amount when compared to other Blockchain projects like Sol, matic, BNB, Near, Dot, etc

You can buy it on pancakeswap, bitmart and hotbit. New listing is coming soon

Find them on CMC and on their telegram group (Dexit.Network English) Good luck!

I am also in your shoe. I want to know what it covers and if this will cover medical emergencies here in canada for my mum who is coming next month.

Sunkeke:
Hello house ,

Please I need your advise regarding purchasing travel insurance for my parents coming in from Nigeria.
Is it advisable to buy from Nigeria or from Canada.
I checked Axa mansard and i saw that it covers a lot of things . I am just wondering if their is any downside to not buying from inside Canada.
Thank you as you respond

Thanks for this. Did you get all your boarding pass from KLM desk in lagos, i mean the one to Amastrdam and the one to canada?

Secondly, When you got to Amsterdam, did you go through passport control or security control before located your departure gate for your the next flight to canada?

thanks
gazu007:

No covid test in Amsterdam, if you google you will see government accredited website you can do your test close to you. mine was done at a lab in gbagada general hospital and I got my results same day before my flight. So when I got into Canada and I did the declaration on the self service machine then I proceeded to the boarder patrol officers desk and she told me I was randomly selected. I have a feeling anyone from Naija would be selected I guess they used my region. My test just came out and it is negative.

Baba how u dey, quick question. My mum will be travelling in February through KLM to join me in Calgary. Abeg did you do another Covid test when you landed in Amsterdam?
Secondly, which lab did you use for your covid test pre-departure in Lagos?
Thirdly, you said u were randomly selected to do test in Canada, are you saying they are no more doing compulsory testing for all the people arriving in Canada?

Thanks.

gazu007:

Hi I left lagos yesterday via klm on trv to unite with sibling. I enrolled on arrive can app, vaccination card, negative COVID test from accredited lab, authorization from ircc to fly (did this via webform). All documents are checked at all airports, so print all documents. In Canada I was randomly selected to do a COVID test. I am to quarantine in my sisters house till results come out in 24 hours . If negative I can go about my business, if positive then further quarantine for 10 days. They also gave a home test kit to do in 10 days and send to them. Cheers

Quick question, Can people with visitor visa travel through Amsterdam? secondly, how did you pay for the test. Cash or Card. This is because i heard there is limit to debit card in Nigeria, i think they said $100 monthly or so.

Vintaged:

If you use test to fly in Amsterdam, results can be gotten in less than 2hrs but be willing to pay more for it. I had to pay €239
Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by Iamblessed007: 5:55pm On Dec 24, 2021
How much did you have to pay? and was it in Amsterdam?

rosepetraaa:

Another thing is you can pay for airport concierge service for her. I did this for my mom...and there was someone already waiting for her at the airport, who was with her through customs and all... it also includes airport private lounge services. This is more expensive than requesting for wheelchair assistance, though.
Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by Iamblessed007: 5:03pm On Dec 23, 2021
You are right. Infact, if i suggest that to my mama, she will reject it...lol.....I know she's definitely gonna see fellow Nigerians coming to canada on her day of travelling. KLM flight would have been very good to calgary but with the whole compulsory Covid-19 test issue in Amsterdam and PR people having to wait for almost 12 hrs to get the result before they can even hop on the flight to Calgary, i wonder what they will subject people who are just mere visitors, let alone the stress for an old woman travelling for the first time.
Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by Iamblessed007: 9:29pm On Dec 22, 2021
she's not disabled, i just need someone to guild her while navigating through the airport since this is the first time of her travelling. It would have been a smooth travel if the whole new covid-19 test required in the airport and the likes are not required. So i just need someone who can show or tell her how to move around. It will be great if she speaks to a Nigerian.

Eddy4400:
You can request for wheelchair assistance so she gets support right from check-in, through security and down to the boarding gate.

Hello my people. Please do we have anyone here who intend to travel to canada in February 2022. My mum will be travelling for the first time, she is quite old and i would need help from anyone who is coming over so that she can tag along and probably get some help. It would have been a smooth journey if all these covid 19 travel protocols are not in place. I am here in Calgary. Thanks my people.

Only if you are visiting for reasons listed there.

If it is for any other reason, you will wait

Do you have to pay another application fee cos i am a PR and i submitted an application for my mum since June 15 and up till now, no response even after sending the prioritization email
Travel / Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Iamblessed007: 6:24pm On Sep 03, 2021
Abeg my people, quick question. I am a PR here in canada and i applied for Visit visa for my mum since June 15th, i initially sent docs to IRCC using her email that she used to apply so that her application can be prioritized but i didn't send the right ones cos i got a message that states that she is not eligible. On July 15th i sent another docs (my PR Card and Birth certificate) but up till now, i haven't received any message or acknowledgement from them. Her application says background check is in process but eligibility has not started. 2 questions...

(1) Am i supposed to use my personal email to send the prioritization email or her own that i used for the application?
(2) How long is application completed after the prioritization email is received and do Ircc acknowledge the receipt of the prioritization email apart from the generic message they send when you submit the webform?

Thanks

Hello my people, i am a PR here in canada. i applied for TRV for my mum, under proof of relationship, i added my mum birth cert, instead of putting my own. I have filled a webform and attached my PR card and Birth cert and also explained that i made a mistake of adding my mum birth cert instead of mine. i would like to know if this webform is enough to tell the VO that i would like to use update my proof of relationship or should i also send an email? If yes, can you pls tell me which email to send the docs (PR card and my birth cert) to so that they can update her application. thanks

rosepetraaa:

Why did you include a doctor's letter for your pregnant wife? You basically told them your mom is coming to work on a visit visa.

And yes... your PR card and your birth certificate are the most important documents (PR card to prove your status in Canada and your birth certificate to prove the relationship between yourself and your mother)

Thanks. My mum is coming to help out as she is about to give birth and many people add all that to support their application. She is not getting paid for helping her son, so it is not a work visa. At least my female friend also submitted it when she applied for visit visa for her mum. Infact, she added the ultrasound scan too. Only difference is that she didn't send any email to prioritize her application because she applied for her mum before covid.

thanks all the same.

Hello house,

Please i need your help, I applied for a visiting visa for my mum and sent that email for the application priority, and also attached the proof of relationship which are my international passport, my mum birth certificate, her change of name docs, invitation letter and the doctor's letter for my pregnant wife.

I received this email from IRCC "Based on our assessment of your recent enquiry, we cannot process your request as you have not provided sufficient evidence that you meet an exemption criterion and/or that your travel to Canada is non-discretionary, per the travel restrictions implemented to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID‑19) in Canada.
Even though you do not meet an exemption criterion and/or your travel has not been deemed non-discretionary, your application will now be put on hold until after the travel restriction pause has been lifted"

Please could it be because i didn't attach my PR card and my birth certificate. If yes, can any one suggest the docs they used for their proof of relationship. Thanks

So I registered with investment one VGIF and I decided to even try it by sending small amount of money to the account. I put my customer number in the reference when I made the transfer as advised. Since Thursday that I made this transfer, up till now the money hasn't reflected in my VGIF account. If they can be acting this way with small amount of money, I wonder what will happen when millions is involved. I no dey Naija, Am I supposed to be calling them for God sake? Abeg my people has anyone ever had this same issue before?

Invest in Eurobond.

converting the money into USD is what I am avoiding. the exchange rate is too much for me. I could have converted itvall to USD before I left Nigeria but I made that mistake. Now that money will stay in Nigeria. I don't intend to convert and bring it here anymore.

Buying a house in Canada is not really an investment you are just saving your money. Coz u would av to pay other expenses to maintain the house. If you are buying a rental property apartment yes that makes sense u can get cash flow from the apartment house. Alternatively,
u may invest in bonds and keep compounding the interest to beat inflation. The funny thing is the Canadian dollars does not lose its value that much against the naira . N300 to 1 cad my 2cents

Thanks for the advice. How does one compound interest with the bond? Do you tick this option when applying for the bond?

My 2 cents is use the money for down payment of a house in Canada, then when you decided to comeback to Nigeria, sell the house, use proceeds for your Nigeria return and also remaining to maybe purchase a cheaper property in Canada...remember a house mostly appreciates even faster than the compound interest rule

thanks

I am 34 yrs and relocated as a single man to Canada last year. I must say one of the mistakes I made was not converting my entire money to USD and save it in my Dorm account before i left. I travelled with $13,000USD and left about 5.4m in my account. I have been getting an interest on the money ever since I left. Right now I don't intend to change it to to any USD. Initially, I was thinking I should convert it to USD and probably use it as down payment for a house here but I have decided that I will invest the money in Nigeria. My plan is to invest it through the compound interest method and add more money to the investment as time goes on. I don't intend to live in Canada forever but I want this 5.4m to be the basis so that after 15 to 20yrs, I can fall back on something when I return to Nigeria. My bosses in the house, Pls what will be your advice. I will indeed like to target the interstate compounding investments. Thanks.
