"you're a nice guy and you're really presentable but I'm in a very serious relationship" 3years later. It still echoes in my mind! For guys tagging me, I never said what she did was wrong..just painful.. Here's a more detailed story https://www.nairaland.com/5003517/what-dumbest-thing-ever-did/6#75468876 iamdrfresh : Met this girl thru a friend when I was about to resume part4 in med schl and we kinda got along(at least thought). I took her out on my birthday that she didnt even remember just cuz I wanted her to feel special. We kept talking even tho I initiated it most time. That wasn't my first time with girls but I just had this soft spot for her(mumu me, right). One night after her exams, I asked us to meet even tho I really didn't have anything to discuss. Decided to take her out to eat and we spent about 3hours together thereafter...twas fun.. We both enjoyed it! Saw her back to her hostel and she told me she'd be leaving for her home 2days later and that we'd not likely see the next day. I felt the urge to throw my shot. I don't know what came over me but I stammered for a while. I sha told her I love her and other things and she said we should talk about it another time. Fast forward to the morning she'd be travelling home, I arranged to meet her. After keeping me waiting for almost an hour (her excuse: she was packing), she told me she's in a relationship- serious one for that matter. I took it in good faith.. Wished her safe journey and that she should lemme know whenever she arrives Lag. During the break, I was still chatting her up hoping she'd reconsider and one day I decided to send an "epistle" pouring out my heart in it. Last last she no still gree! I was talking to my friend(d one that introduced us) months later and he told me how she commented on one of his stories that He never knew he is a good writer and that I'm a good story writer too My epistle to her was just a "Story" |

As funny as it may sound, it is actually medically possible to die of a broken heart. BROKEN HEART SYNDROME Broken heart syndrome is a temporary heart condition that's often brought on by stressful situations and extreme emotions. The condition can also be triggered by a serious physical illness or surgery. People with broken heart syndrome may have sudden chest pain or think they're having a heart attack. Broken heart syndrome affects just part of the heart, temporarily disrupting your heart's normal pumping function. The rest of the heart continues to function normally or may even have more forceful contractions. The symptoms of broken heart syndrome are treatable, and the condition usually reverses itself in days or weeks. Symptoms Broken heart syndrome symptoms can mimic a heart attack. Common symptoms include: Chest pain Shortness of breath Any long-lasting or persistent chest pain could be a sign of a heart attack, so it's important to take it seriously and call 911 if you experience chest pain. CAUSES Some potential triggers of broken heart syndrome are: The death of a loved one A frightening medical diagnosis Domestic abuse Losing — or even winning — a lot of money Strong arguments A surprise party Public speaking Job loss or financial difficulty Divorce Physical stressors, such as an asthma attack, a broken bone or major surgery For more info: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/broken-heart-syndrome/symptoms-causes/syc-20354617 N.B: This is not to conclude that you have Broken heart syndrome if you're experiencing any of this.. You still need a doctor for proper diagnosis! CC lalasticlala, dominique , Sissy3 |

Obafemi Awolowo University Photo: File Justice Patricia Ajoku of a Federal High Court in Ibadan , on Friday, sentenced an undergraduate at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Orimolade, to four months imprisonment for defrauding an American man of 150 dollars . Ajoku held that the court sentenced Orimolade, based on the evidence before her and the plea bargain agreement he had with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission . “ I have considered the plea bargain agreement entered into by the convict as well as the provisions of Section 270 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act ( ACJA) 2015 in this judgment . READ ALSO : Panic as Lassa fever hits UNIZIK “ I also consider the fact that Orimolade is a very young person, preparing for his final exams at OAU and that he had shown great remorse. “ However , to serve as a warning to others intending to engage in cybercrime , Orimolade is sentenced to four months in prison and the sentence starts from the date he was first arrested and detained . “ All the exhibits found in his possession are hereby, forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria , ” Ajoku said . The defence counsel, Mr Austin Fadugba , had before the judgment prayed the court to temper justice with mercy in sentencing his client . Earlier , counsel to the EFCC Ibadan zonal office, Mr Babatunde Sonoiki , had told the court that the convict was facing a count amended charge bordering on impersonation . Sonoiki added that the convict committed the crime on September 28, 2019 in Ibadan , Oyo State . According to the prosecutor , Orimolade disguised as a US citizen to one American man , Nelisa Snell , that he was deeply in love with him through the Internet . “ Snell , therefore , sent Orimolade 150 dollars , believing that he had found a lover, ” Sonoiki said . The offence, he said, contravened Section 22 (A ) of the cybercrime law of the Federation 2006 . https://m.punchng.com/oau-final-year-student-sentenced-to-jail-for-defrauding-american ( NAN ) cc Lalasticlala mynd44 fynestboi |

I feel Jaywon's claim is ridiculous Those words are common esp if a Yoruba man is praying for you in a new year. There's nothing innovative there that could support Jaywon's claim.. |
When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called a Religion. Robert M. Pirsig, I went to a friend's room on campus yesterday but he wasn't around... Met 3pastors( campus fellowship) in his room instead- they were all listening to a message (I don't know the preacher). The preacher said "People can be really stupid. Imagine someone bringing materials together and making a statue in order to worship it." They all started laughing. It was obvious they were happy thinking they've caught rhema(revelation). But then I thought worshipping a being you've not seen or heard from; but only read about in books is delusional and plain stupid. Idolatry: 'the worship of a physical object as a god' For religion, it's simply d worship of an imaginary image/object/person which is just a thin line away from Idolatry. I call it Mental Idolatry. http://oaukilonshele..com/2018/11/oau-student-risks-jail-term-over.html?m=1 The President of the National Association of Local Government Students, Obafemi Awolowo University (NASLOGOS), Akinwumi Opeyemi, has stolen a sum 565,200 Naira which is the proceeds of the freshers' party held and annual dues paid by members of the association. As gathered by OAU KILONSHELE, the executives in collaboration with the Head of Department, have decided to hand over Mr. Akinwumi to the Police and later charge him to court. According to the Criminal Code Act IV of the Nigeria law, any offender who fraudulently takes anything capable of being stolen, or fraudulently converts to his own use or to the use of any other person anything capable of being stolen, is liable to seven years imprisonment. It was however established that the President misappropriated the huge sum as he pleaded guilty of the allegation when interviewed by the school security team. Also, when questioned as to how these funds were spent Mr. Akinwumi didn't respond clearly and didn't name any mastermind. The General Secretary, Ojo Oluwatimileyin, in a statement released to OAU Security team, made known the breakdown of the funds misappropriated. "Akinkunmi Sodiq, the president, embezzled money meant for souvenir booklets, collected money from the association's account without the approval of the staff adviser, failed to remit incomes from Fresher's Party and remitted a sum of 433,800 Naira only out of 820,000 Naira worth of annual dues." "433,800 Naira out of 820,000 Naira annual dues were remitted which mathematically means 386,200 were not remitted. Funds worth of 107,000 Naira were collected from the association's account without the approval of the staff adviser. 49,000 Naira incomes from the Fresher's party were not remitted and 14,000 Naira is yet to be paid for souvenirs. These funds when added resulted to 565,200." Mr. Ojo also revealed that the executives had to opt for the collection of financial statement after several disappointments by the president. OAU KILONSHELE learnt that it all started when the Financial Secretary tried to collect the financial statement from the bank but was turned down several times by the bank because the President and the Head of the Department, Dr D.O. Adeyemo, are the only signatories to the account. It was recalled that a similar case happened four years ago, which necessitated going through the department's management inorder to prevent embezzlement of funds. In recent times, the executives have to get approval of funds' letter from the staff adviser, Dr. B.A. Abioro, after which the President and the HOD will append their signatures on it. Speaking with OAU KILONSHELE, The welfare DIrector, Aluko Oluwatimilehin, highlighted that the bank finally released the statement of account after the executives submitted a letter of request signed by the HOD. "The bank gave us the statement of account after we talked to the HOD to give us a signed letter," He said "We discovered that the president, Akinkunmi Sodiq has been unable to deliver the souvenir booklet in which Dr. B.A. Abioro, the staff adviser has already approved the sum of 117,000 Naira, we summoned several executives meeting and he still couldn't provide the souvenirs. At the request of Dr. B.A. Abioro, we opted for the collection of the statement of account." In the statement of account which shows the income and expenditure account, a correspondent of OAU Kilonshele confirmed that the total amount of 565,200 had been embezzled. However, on Friday, the President was impeached after an investigative panel set up by the students' representative council recommended his impeachment. "The president, who we all trusted, was impeached for misconduct, misappropriation of funds and embezzlement. When we found out he was involved in such an act, I was really surprised." The speaker of the SRC, Saliu Abdulrauf, said. Speaking with our correspondent, a student of the department who preferred to be addressed as Lydia said "He has been impeached and that is exactly what he deserved. I don't know anything about his current state but I can say it happily that he deserved to be impeached." As at the time of writing this report, OAU Kilonshele learnt that the case is still being handled by the school as his family has been contacted and has made a promise to refund the embezzled funds. However, the Chief Security officer of the school, Babatunde Oyatokun, when contacted, revealed that a dime has not been paid by the family as promised. "The family has shown up and they have made it known that the money will be refunded, however as at the time of speaking with you, I can tell you that no money has been received." http://oaukilonshele..com/2018/11/oau-student-risks-jail-term-over.html?m=1 cc lalasticlala fynestboi mynd44 |
