Hmmmm.... I went for an interview as a teacher in a very big school in Gwarinpa, Abuja. (Expensive) I live in kuje, on the day of the interview I left my house by 6am in the morning and got to the school at about 7.30am. The interview was for 8 a.m. Na so the proprietress come tell me to write application letter, write another letter about how I encountered Jesus, write a lesson note on Computer softwares ( System and application softwares) , then do teaching practice. After that na so the madam come interview me. I was there till 5pm. I passed the exams, did well with the lesson notes, and also the oral interview. Time to tell me my salary, the madam said that she would pay me 40k. My ears went deaf for about 2 minutes, I kept saying sorry... Sorry... Sorry... As if I didn't understand what she said. I told her thank you and left. When I got home I said to myself: why slave for someone and earn that peanut!! 40k ? Most Private school owners are wicked, they collect millions as school fees and pay their staff peanuts. I have a Bsc degree. I also have a PGD in Education and a TRCN certificate and I also have a passion to teach. I called my mum and told her I wanted to start my own school in kuje, my mum surprised me and sent me a huge sum of money to start my school. It was like film trick. Today to the glory of God I have my own school. I bless God I didn't accept that offer. Sometimes you just have to push yourself to achieve your dream. I treat my staff well too. |

Chai!! Why?? Instead of having a permanent maid, why not get someone that comes to clean the house everyday and leaves after her/ his work? The woman is hot tempered, anger kills !! See as the room scatter like place where people no dey stay inside. Anyway my advice for people that require the use of maid: Don't get a permanent maid that lives with you, get a person that comes to clean, wash and do all other chores for the house and leaves after completing the task for the day. That would minimize violence between the madam and the maid. My take though' |

Mix fresh grounded ginger and fresh grounded garlic in a cup of hot ( boiled) water and squeeze the juice in a lime in the cup of hot water too. Take this mixture for a week, once a day, preferably in the morning. You will thank me later!! Garlic and ginger are blood thinners. They also improve and boost our immunity. Also eat plenty of carrots every day and drink alot of water too. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: We Must Stop Borrowing And Start Printing Money For Our Development- Paul Kagame by IamgratefulLord(f): 11:00pm On Apr 23, 2020 |
Xisnin: Only the craziest of the crazies will implement such a suggestion. This isn't a novel idea, printing notes to solve economic stagnation have been tried throughout history and it never ends well, a famous example being the Weimer Republic. There are many factors that must be in place including: First, the country must be 99% technologically self-sustaining.
Second, the country must find others willing to do trade by barter in case of essential supplies because no sane person will accept money with no known value business outside such a country.
Which African country has these securities?
What proponents of these methods don't realize is that they will end up destroying confidence in their currency. If 2 contractors were awarded two different projects with freely printed money, the net effect will be inflation which means by the time the projects gets to 30%, about 5 times the initial cost may be needed to progress.
Also, they never tell us when they will stop printing more notes and how they will reverse the erosion of public confidence. Perhaps, Kagame wants to create some Rwanda trillionaires overnight just like Mugabe. Brilliant piece. Na this kind people I dey follow for naira land |

Seun: Testskits are very important, so I am very grateful to CACOVID for this. It is unfortunate that the govt was ready to lock us down but wasn't ready to spend enough money to get sufficient test kits for a nation with 190m people, and the private sector had to step in to get them.
However, what they are saying about sharing food and the time the test kits will arrive (2 weeks) suggests that we will be under lockdown for a very long time. Instead of following South Korea's proven method of beating the virus, we're sitting at home and waste away, unnecessarily. Seun, now that there's a testing center in Ota, I hope you'll go for the test too. I'm not saying you have the virus, just to give us the first hand information about the testing process. |

I was naive, I gave this guy all the money my parents, family and friends sent to me every month to feed. It was like jazz. He promised marrying me. I cooked, washed and did everything I could to please his guy, he led me on. Guess what happened after graduation? He lied to me that his mother said he shouldn't marry an urhobo girl, that he should marry a Yoruba girl . I cried my life out for more than a year hoping things would change. Guess what? He married another urhobo girl after two years. I bless God I didn't marry him o!! That's another story for a new thread. Lol |

Your lucky husband may belong to this category. Anyway, keep to the vow and love him but help him by motivating him to be productive. He is a qualified lawyer. He's worked all his life in two law firms. They used him like tissue paper and gave him peanuts. By His grace, He just started his own law firm late last year with a close friend in Abuja. It's a joint partner ship. I pray God favour his new project. |

kingPhidel: If their assertions are true, is not outta place to mention Nigeria on that list because agriculturally we are backward only peasant famers, low scale farmers will survive. A push factor (attacking the rich) will sprung up because with the current experience on lock down. I found out that the rich are championing stay at home syndrome so that the virus shouldn't get to them Cos they know that they depend on the lower class for some basic services. On the other hand. The lower class are afraid of hunger virus than the cobit 419 because either way their lives is in danger and So the next line of action is to take over the streets which is a bad idea but only way out cos the elite fail to put things in place and the reality is checking on them.
