The only way Niger can counter Nigeria in a war is resorting to gorilla tactics. Nigeria Army is useless against gorilla tactics of Boko haram, Fulani headsmen etc. Neither Niger, Chad etc. has Nigerian Air capabilities. |
Billionaire2:Kanu and Ajibade are struggling in their respective wings because that's not their natural position and Ireland plays five at the back out of position. |

robosky02:Canada hasn't qualified either. So how will Australia winning by two goals only affect Nigeria. Both Nigeria and Canada has +1 with Nigeria having scored 1 goal more than Canada. |
Dotherightthing:Then they implemented a structural adjustment program of ImF which further ruined their economy until they had to renegotiate their debt. |
Dotherightthing:Greece were folding under the policies of world bank/IMF in 2008. The country endured years of recession. The policy to devalue our currency, while removing all subsidies enjoyed by the middle class and poor is a terrible one. The growth that will be experienced as a result of the removal of subsidy will simply be eaten up by inflation. The economy growth will not lead to development, it will not lead to improvement in the lives of ordinary citizen. |
I have studied Tinubu's policy closely and realized that he is simply doing the World bank/IMF bidding He is removing all subsidies, education, petrol etc. and simply devalued the national currency. Removing subsidy is simply removing safety net for the poor and devaluing our currency will simply create inflation in a country that depends on importation. This will push the poor to be poorer and might lead to a collapse in the already fragile Nigerian social structure. |
I am very disappointed with Tinubu's goverment. |
SOSinNigeria:So Hundeyin knows more than the foreign minister about the immigration policy of his own country. |
The country is stating that you need a visa to get permission into their country. You are claiming you know more than the officials of the country. Weren't you claiming earlier that you were rejected entry because you are Nigerian, whereas you were rejected entry because you are a refugee from Ghana. |
madridguy:Tinubu is fucking up bro. Almost two months now, he is yet to submit names of Ministers. He is yet to bring out proper palliative measures. He is simply implementing a world bank program i.e. Devalue currency, remove subsidy etc. This is the hallmark of world bank/IMF intervention programs that is only designed to make people poorer. |
Without subsidy removal with naira at 130 back then, fuel was sold at 97 naira. Now with Naira at 830 naira without subsidy, PDP is expecting fuel to sell at 150 naira. We need Honest politicians and opposition in Nigeria, we can't continue to decieve ourselves while majority of Nigerians die of hunger. I have not taken my private car out now for over two months, I use public transportation now. This 670 naira is too much. |
Calitoscassius:First of let me clarify something to you. There's always Ambiguity in every constitution often referred to as loophole. Lawyers exploit it often to free their client of criminal conduct, even when they know it's wrong. This is exactly what labor are doing with the hope that they can cancel an election results of 200 million people with a technical loophole in the constitution. |
InyinyaAgbaOku:There's nothing in the constitution that supports LP's position. LP simply making a case out of a technicality of "and" written in the constitution to make a media trial. |
Karlman:Thank you very much, but I Will like to point out that you and your likes are easily brainwashed because you are simply reacting to a Lawyer closing argument. A lawyer will always give real life examples of likely scenarios to back up his legal claims. It's the preview of Labour party lawyers to respond to this information in their closing remarks. It's not a tool for media trial. Thank you. |
maintenant:@ emboldened where is this constitution that states 25% is a must in Abuja. Have you ever read the constitution of Nigeria before? |
Angelfrost:When did Tinubu make this statement? |
maintenant:Nigeria constitution is different from the American constitution for a reason. In Nigeria, according to our constitution all votes cast are equal. The equality Claus is specifically to accommodate for our diverse background and protect sensitivity of the difference in our background. Nigeria don't use an electoral college system but popular votes. |
Another one is Egun Just like Ijaw, they can majorly be found in one local government area. |
Bobloco:Akintola Betrayed Awolowo and Zik together with the North decided to throw him in prison. They then decided to crown an unpopular Akintola as the premier of the western region which majority of the Yorubas rejected. |
jullary:Did I call you fake Omoluabi before? There were bigger political rivalries in Yorubaland that didn't end up in assassinations. How come it was Funsho williams own that ended in Assassination? |
LagosFirstSon:You should make your investigation rather than throwing allegations. |
Who told you it was politics that killed Fusho ? |
RingRoadMafia:You, for giving me a mention. ![]() |
My Girlfriend who is a Yoruba girl voted for Obi because of her church commitment. Most of my church members voted Obi. I didn't vote but I will have never voted for Obi, I prefer ATIKU or Tinubu. We in Yorubaland don't play politics of bitterness. |
In my years alive, I have never seen a more brainwashed set of people than the supporters of labour party. Firstly, the problem been referred to here is the likely pandemonium the 25% in Abuja debate if ratified by the Court will create for future Elections. > It will elevate Abuja voters above all other states in Nigeria. > It will go against the constitution of Nigeria that states all votes cast in Nigeria are equal because it will mean casting your votes in Abuja is more important than casting it in Akure, Onisha or Kano. Secondly, a runoff doesn't itself guarantee that the winner of the runoff will still get the 25% requirement in Abuja. So will we simply continue to go for runoffs until the winning candidate get 25% in Abuja even if he gets 25% in all the 36 states of the federation. Furthermore, this will put a weird spotlight on the democraphics of Abuja in future Elections which might create an ugly situation. Politicians might just import people from other states to make up the 25% in Abuja which might create an unwanted national debate in the future. Tribes will begin to fight over who should be allowed to vote in Abuja etc. In conclusion, Tinubu's lawyer in his final written argument to the judges is only pushing his legal points with real life likely scenarios that might come out of the judgement. |
