In America, Academic Diploma are ceremonial documents. Hence, Tinubu tried to get the Diploma certified by the university.

The university Lawyer eventually certified it after he cross-checked with the register to confirm Tinubu indeed graduated from CSU.

The register said he doesn't understand why the diploma needed certification because it's is a ceremonial thing. He said the university doesn't ordinaryly certify documents and said perhaps it's a Nigerian thing.

Summary

Csu didn't deny or confirm that the certificate originated from them.

The staff under deposition denied knowledge of certification of the Academic record because it's not a practice they often do, the staff then went on to say he doesn't understand the importance of the certification of Academic records because he/she is not a lawyer or perhaps it's a Nigerian thing to do certification of Academic records.

The staff confirmed that Tinubu's lawyer made request for some academic records on behalf of Tinubu from the school but he didn't collect it. When pressed further, the staff responded by saying perhaps only Tinubu could answer the question himself.


The staff confirmed that Tinubu had two different date of birth in their records, 1954 and 1952 which could be down to clerical errors.

The staff confirmed the Tinubu that gained admission into their college is a male and he graduated with honors.


In conclusion, the staff kept dancing around the questions regarding the certificate Tinubu submitted to Inec, while answering everything else clearly.
