Stylist Toyin Lawani on Thursday shared controversial pictures of herself on Instagram wearing an hijab with her thighs exposed in celebration of the Eid-el-Fitr festival, Igbere TV reports.

The stylist recreated the naughty nun outfit she wore to the premiere of Prophetess in March.

Toyin Lawani came under fire over her nun outfit back in March. Former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode described her costume at the time as “disgusting” and “ghetto rubbish”.

The celebrity stylist, however, clapped back at her critics who said she could not recreate such wearing an hijab. She promised to do so, adding that her critics were not exposed.

“The abduction of yet an unspecific number of undergraduates of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State, is one abduction too many. It marks both an unacceptable escalation and an expansion of this menace, and we must not only ensure that the abducted youths are rescued, but even more importantly, we must put in measures to prevent future reoccurrences,” he said.

“This must not be allowed to become our new normal. It is time for us as a nation to face the reality that we have an emergency on our hands. A catastrophe that must be decisively dealt with before it snowballs into an existential crisis.

Atiku, who did not address calls for resignation of the embattled minister of communication and digital economy Isa Pantami over religious extremism, said the “full weight of the law” needs to come down on “perpetrators of these heinous crimes”.

A 100-level female student of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma in Edo State, has been crushed to death by a trailer, Igbere TV reports.

The unfortunate incident reportedly happened yesterday, Friday, March 6 around the school students' village.

Sympathisers who were mostly students of the school gathered at the scene of the accident to catch a glimpse of the body and learn more about her death.

It was gathered that the trailer crushed the deceased who was identified as Abusomwan Dexter Osemwoyam to death while she was on a commercial motorcycle.

She reportedly fell off the motorcycle and was crushed to death by the trailer. The driver also fled for his life probably as a result of fear of mob action.

Abusomwan, according to information gathered by Igbere TV, recently completed her semester examination at AAU.

An ambulance owned by the school later came to carry her lifeless body from the scene of the accident. Her remains has since been deposited at the mortuary.

The new Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr Monday Bala Kuryas, has visited two spots in Mkpologwu, Aguata Local Government Area and Omogho in Orumba North, where gunmen attacked police patrol teams this morning, Igbere TV reports.

According to eye witnesses, the gunmen who drove in both a salon car and a Mercedes Benz 4Matic SUV, opened fire on the policemen who had been deployed on patrol in the two areas.

The attackers also set a police patrol van on fire.

There was no immediate motive for the attacks or the number of casualties involved as at the time of this report, but the Anambra State Police Commissioner has assured that the hoodlums would soon be captured.

This is the 2nd attack today in Anambra. The first attack claimed the lives of two Police officers on duty.

They were my class mates in Esute mature university program. They couldn't believe how much I made them laugh everyday in class �

They practically dragged me into Nollywood (story for another day). Before then I was doing radio drama and stage play.
