@Gaby, this is for you.

Your story is interesting. I have read it all.

Now this is my input as a self published Author on Amazon and all the other self publishing platforms including prints on demand places.

First the covers. This one here is Okay. Better than the second. Will outsell the second by over 5x. Trust me on this.

https://ewealthsuccess.com/gaby.jpg

The guy who did the cover is good. I will like to work with him and offer him some direction that will greatly assist him. Going to try and reach out to him. Hope he responds.

You can publish with Okadabooks for the Nigerian audience like I see you are already planning. As advised, try to get a lawyer to advice you and read through the contract with Okadabooks. For the Okada version, you can use a Nigerian name. It does not have to be your real name. Pen names are very common and acceptable in the publishing arena.

You can use the American name for the Amazon / International version.

Don't just limit your book to Amazon. That would be leaving money on the table.
You can sign up and publish the book via the link below: It is free to do so. And takes minutes to do.

https://www.draft2digital.com/oke

D2D will do the following for you.

They will publish your book on the platforms below:

iBooks (Apple books)
Barnes & Noble
Kobo
Playster
Scribd
Tolino
24Symbols
OverDrive

They will put your book on all these platform and only take 10% of your Royalty and pay you the balance. Believe me, this is cool. You can even make more through them than Amazon.

After you publish your first book, do not stop. Write other books. You can do Non Fiction and How to books. I see you got the talent of a Writer and will do well.

My 2 cents. Hope this helps.

Yep, Amazon is the way to go. Createspace for hard copies and Kindle for e-copies.

But then there should be a distribution channel for hard copies in Nigeria as well. A solution could be having guys here pay into an account with the money in escrow, you then order the books, ten, twenty copies at a time, from Amazon's Createspace and deliver to the buyers yourself and get your money from the escrow service.

Make contact, if you need any clarification and for the escrow service of course.

1) Believing that God, a mighty spiritual being could be found in an ordinary physical building called a church. Tithes offerings aren't supposed to be paid to pastors but to the less privilege around you. The reason you're a Christian is BECAUSE YOU WERE BORN IN A CHRISTIAN FAMILY. If you were born in a Muslim family, 8/10 you'd be a Muslim now.

2) Not being appreciative. I thought the world revolved around me and people would also think like me. I didn't know that most of the people that helped me were not in abundance like I thought and I also didn't know that most of the people that helped me did so in pain and goodwill from their heart. I wasn't appreciative enough. That made me entitled to what wasn't mine

As for me, for someone starting from the scratch. When you start making money, let's say hundreds of thousands ... never let your family or friends know yet, invest some of the funds into what gave you the initial money without having a second thought, and seek for more updates.

Let's hear from some of our elders in the house.

All things can be tied to understanding what beauty is.
grin

I'm regards to your above question. I may ha e to make it as a question and answer session. I will think on the best way to address this maybe in another thread.

Except you have direct questions on the topic itself.

To understand beauty is to understand all things in creation. Why would one eat for the sake of it? I once asked someone who told me he eats monkeys , I asked him "sir why do you have to descend to the level of consuming monkeys and dogs ?
His response informed me that he learned it in his university days and has since indulged. Now surely that was not out of a need to survive but merely out of an over indulgence in alcoholism and consuming any meat to satisfy and drug induced stupor. That is ugliness.

Even in the old days mankind never went into the bushes to hunt dogs or monkeys , no . Dogs were used to hunt other beasts like antelopes etc.

Mankind have descended into a life of ugliness in deeds words and actions .

To indulgence in sex, alcoholism, drugs , perversions etc all borne out of an inclination to ugliness.

There is beauty in simplicity. Why consume 20 different types of beards when you can live a life time just consuming one or two only?

Understanding beauty is to understand the foundation of all things
