Togo and Ghana went from the hands of the Oyo to essentially the Germans who were later driven out by the British as an aftermath of the two great wars’. what sort of rubbish talk is this |
Business › Re: Naira Exchange Rate Vs African Countries: by iamord(m): 10:45pm On Sep 12, 2016 |
mfm04622: I don't think African countries really have conversion rates between their currencies. What do I mean? I mean African currencies rates are really rates between country A and US Dollars then country B with US Dollars. I observed this when as I just came back from Ghana on holiday. This is because African countries have more trades with countries outside the continent than within. Also, Naira to GhC is now 100:1 and not 50. you have a lot of learning to do |

tiwiex: Haba bros. Buhari has to be better than you. Your appriach of sending people back home is so lame and archaic in thinking. Economic models change just the way we use email now and dont do post office. Same with economics. Remmitances was about $20b jusr over a year ago. I havent verified recent records but this post says $5b. That is the money all the people u want to send back send home every year. By the way, our annual budget at 300 to a $ requires $20b. It tells us that these people u villify so much contribute to ur stable economy more than oil. Before u say it is unsustainable, $20b into any economy? I would encourage more to travel sef. Also, India makes more money from remmitances than their popular IT industry. What I observe is that Buharis government wants to sow where they did not reap. They want dollars from work that does not concern them directly without considering d positive impact on d economy. In the process, they discouraged people from sending money home further hitting our dollar market.
You really didn't respond to the question other than talk about how our economy defies logic. It actually has logic. The model just changes which is why Nobels are awarded to the scholars and economists who observe these ecolving trends. It is this basic lack of understanding economics that got us here. One of the rules in economics is simple "if the decision makes u better off by even 100 naira, then do it" if not, leave am. These decisions were not thought through at all. this government just assumed money was flowing without considering d individual incentives making it so. They killed these incentives and are confused. The thought of getting free dollar from oil was all that was on their mind. When it did not happen, the panicked and started attacking all possible sources without thinking thru. Ghana is stealing our markets by the way. Keep blaming GEJ and Oil. stealing.. never again use that word.. its a free market and if you are not able to provide particular services and someone does your buyers will move.. its pretty simple..you should rather have yourselves to blame |

V0lv0: Exactly. Its something that i dunno whether i should find amusing or dusturbing. These same idiots and name checkers say the most fckd up things about each other. The only time they can get along and get together is not for a good reason like fighting their corrupt politicians but to insult other countries and they are proud of this.
Instead of tackling tribalism and worrying about important things they are here killing themselves over something one ghanaian girl jokingly said. Wow wow wow. I dunno why i sometimes get surprised. Why wont they hate others when they hate themselves. All they do is bash and insult, if not themselves then others. lol. You've seen that name checker stuff too?? they look like ginuea pigs... It just goes to show the amount of toddlers and wanksters on here. They forget that outside they are considered one nation. |

For your info, no serious-minded Nigerian guy in his right senses will take u to his parents with that cow nose ring, ladies learn!!! Dude did you just try to make sense Because you don't like nose ring does not give you the right to use your ideologies to Condemn her, abi she beg you say make you carry am go see your Mama ni? , it's an age old tradition that's a symbol of wealth, expresses cultural values or a decoration to enhance appearance that has never gone out of style for those that know how to wear it well, so if above all you see in her that's the only thing you can pick then you're on a long thing. |

Am glad to see this sudden twist, Mike is a world famous televangelist of which many Nigerian and African clerics look up to him as a spiritual father and guide... On they other hand white garment church is frowned upon by the pentecostal and other denominations due to the belief that they are not following the practice and core teaching of the Bible. Even tho they tend not to show it.. Now the their spiritual father is seen at the other camp.. I can just imagine the thoughts it stirrs amongst them.. So much for hypocrisy and confusion |

Daniel1990: Which country gave the award? Ghana! Jesus Christ; prestigious award from Ghana! That is an insult to our collective sensibility, not even South Africa? That award is as useless as RioU23 bronze medal. The Ghanians are happy that Nigeria economy has crippled and gave them upper hand to think of giving us award. I will rather appreciate had the metal comes all the way from Europe, Asia, Australia or America not from Ghana! what happened to your sense |
