hotbullion: I recently did a review of my drive of the 2009 Mercedes Benz C300 (Rear Wheel Drive). If you missed it, please read here....A Review Of Some Of The Cool Cars I Drove Lately....Mercedes Benz C300. (Part 2).
I was fortunate enough to drive a 2008 Mercedes Benz C300 4Matic the same day for a review.
It was a pleasure driving both cars due to their great driving dynamics and premium build quality.
In order not to sound too technical, i will make this post very brief and straight to the point.
Both cars share everything including a surprisingly low (on paper) 3.0 L DOHC V6 engine producing 228 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 221 ft.lb torque from 2500 to 5000 rpm but the major difference is that the 2009 C300 RWD had a trip computer that measures the instantaneous fuel consumption while the trip computer of the 2008 C300 4Matic does not display instantaneous consumption. And the 2009 is blessed with the addition of pelvic airbags for the front-seat passengers. The airbags sit lower in the door than side-impact and curtain airbags and help prevent injuries in side-impact collisions.
Remember that the 4Matic is mostly built for areas that have slippery road surfaces due to adverse weather conditions but this extra drivetrain also helps the car put down the power quicker and gives it a surer grip on the ground. The manufacturer's specifications reveal that the C300 RWD will hit 0-60mph in about 7.1 seconds while the C300 4Matic does the same distance in the same time but feels much quicker. Both have the same top speed but believe me, the 4Matic will most definitely hit the 'G' spot much quicker than the RWD version and this is without using the 'S' Sport mode.
I actually got both cars to 200kph but had to work harder to get there in the RWD but with the 4Matic, it was just a matter of power delivered anytime i wanted it. Getting to 200 and above was way easier than in the C300 RWD.
This feature while sweet, has its drawback in the areas of fuel consumption as the 4Matic consumes slightly more fuel than the RWD. The EPA estimate for fuel economy for the C300 Sport sedan with the automatic transmission is 18 mpg city/25 mpg highway. While the AWD/4Matic drivetrain, mated to an automatic transmission, earns an estimated 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway.
Also, the extra components like the propeller and shafts that send power to the front wheels mean extra mechanicals bits that will need maintaining in due course and depending on driving pattern, might also lead to faster wearing of the front tires.
Remember that with the 4Matic, it becomes almost impossible to do a burnout because the four tires grip the road stronger unlike the RWD that only the rear tires grip the road and with the right technique, they break loose to either entertain you or put you into big trouble depending on your proficiency.
So before buying one, ask yourself if you need the extra grip in this our tropical region, high cost of fuel and maintenance with not too reliable mechanics but with the exclusivity of the C300 4matic badging. Or simply, get the slightly 'lesser' C300 RWD and still have loads of fun and better fuel economy no matter how marginal it results to.
Do you have a contrary opinion? Let's hear from you.

CAVEAT: Do not attempt overspeeding on our roads.
Always drive within the ambits of the law.
Always drive to stay alive and keep other road users safe too.
i got mad loce for this matured whip.. the light emblem i know they dont usually come with this.. did you do some custom fittings?.. and how much least estimate can i get a 08 or 09?
FeloniousFelon: Germany and several EU countries are opening their borders to refugees in a bid to increase population and declining birth rates .
The zombies above never factored that Nigeria's top economy position in Africa is largely dependent on market size- a function dependent on population.
freeze001: I just don't get the hangup on size displayed by some people. Where do we measure with countries like Israel, Sweden, Switzerland and even South Africa here as small as they are? Nigeria is not up to half of the US yet they are aeons ahead because of a sound structure not this nonsense central feeding system we call federalism.
a lot of them practice beer palour economics thats why, if having a large population is the baine of the problem ..what of small population countries that are poor like haiti and co, the key is in making policies that give a competitive advantage and following through irrespective of political ethnic or religious difference.the ground is open for all..

strategic economic positioning.. thats what Ghana has been doing ..its all about using your limited rescources to make the maximum impact! its not always about size.
ireneony: Have you been to uk? u will be amazed the numbers of mixed kids you find here. Black men in uk run after ugly white women. No wonder there's no strong black community in the uk. The Asians have been living in the uk for so long, yet they still get married to each other. I don't know why black people as a whole try to mix with white. I'm not against interracial dating, but there should be a limit cos too much of something is bad. It's very common to see 20 black guys with white women in a day. Asians marry themselves, yet they are the richest minority group in the uk. The Asians keep their money in their community. When rich black men marry out, they are taking away the money from the black community.
Blacks that were born here would never claim their originality. Always trying to seek validation from white ...the caribeans are worse, they have inferiority complex. Though they have in the uk for so long, they are still behind the asians economically.
aljharem: No they are not shared ! They were borrowed. Also Bean for Akara does not grow in the south but North and Yorubas have traded with Northern ethnic groups (Not particularly fulani or hausa) for hunbreds of years
Creole are yorubas (You are research). 60% of their broken English is influenced by Yoruba language. Again do your research well
Ghanaian Language is heavily influenced by yoruba language. In fact a war between the two occured
The word Ghana is from the Ga tribe of Accra who originated from Yorubas
From Akuabo (Welcome) in yoruba. Ga call it Akuaba
To Alubosa (Onions) in yoruba among other
I am just too busy to start bring out books but I will try
this is not true! the word ghana means “warrior king” which is a word derived from Ouagadougou i dont know where u get your facts from, but they are definitely not correct.
SmartyPants: . I said what i said to prevent passers by from being misled by you so i won't continue speaking with you now that anyone who cares to know, knows not to believe you.
its refreshing to note that there are still a few informed people that read in-between the lines and won't buy into this poorly brewed propaganda puppet.
Timelezz: LOL ! This just reminds me of the wailings of my biitch. She kept crying and insisting I'm in love with her even when she knows I only ring her up for the brutal fück-ride
just hear yourself, a grown up man sounding like some puzzy boi, how does this crap correlate with the reality of all what i said.??
Timelezz: Yes I'm a fan of a country who isn't ranked even too 17 in African military
exactly my point! you are a fan!.. i must say i admirer your zeal to always project ghana in your post, with such zeal and dexterity!.. you are a faithful..your have sacrificed priceless time that on a normal day would have been used for something productive and worthwhile , trying to enlighten your people more about the affairs of ghana, You go bro!... i just hope you get paid for it, but here is a lil pep talk... try to channel your energy to more resourceful things like being of use to solving your country's never ending problems, the world is used to being in shock and dismay at the activities of the army and country in general, as if that's not enough we now have a well brewed airforce, tactically ..or should i put it as the official statement said it.."mistakenly" bombing helpless displaced civilians, my heart goes out to them. these are the people, they need you to to tell them that that it is just a dream and hopefully to remove their consciousness from the nigerian reality they find themselves in.. this are the people that need your sermon.
samsam2019: quoting the hibke to justify someone losing his livelihood
You Christians are bloody hypocrites
lol..and you are confused.. that passage applies to everyone on the face of the earth... with a simple and clear message.. whatever you do.. work hard to be given merit for it.. dont be a mediocre and hope on miracles and pittance, but do your job... !!
samsam2019: how are you sure it wasn't a mistake? Perhaps he just googled brilliant speeches and copied it
If you tell me you would fire someone for that I would-really dread knowing you
with this your statement you are worse off.. i will ensure you dont even get that top spot.. dont struggle to produce mediocre results.. wont you be proud of yourself as a writer when people commend the president speech and find out it was you that did it.. thats a boost to your cv and reputation... africa does not need lazy thinkers and mediocres appreciating second hand quality.
samsam2019: Let's be nice to each other. I don't think he deserves to lose his job over it. I mean that's his livelihood. We make mistakes in our jobs doesn't mean we lose it
a role in such a sector is not for trial and error.. you were chosen for a job because its believed you are up for the task, AND YOU WERE PAID handsomely, the least thing you can do is to research and bring out quality content.. if it was about copying from google, the president himself could do it..Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.2 Timothy 2:15
Just30: i've never seen a backward person like you before. i can give you the name of Ghanaian billionares Ghana's budget does not come from aid, it stopped 5 Years ago when Ghana became a lower middle income country. Your country is still on budgetary support
bro! but what are you trying to prove really..?? when you are truly conscious of your self worth and status, thats the highest point you need to make, not trying to prove yourself, we are in 2017 and i think we have long overgrown this stage of trying to make meaning to natural trolls with a demented sense of thinking.. that have no valuable meaning to add, when you go back in time and look through all this mumbo jumbo you will realize that it has been the same poo recycled back to back over the years, and the sad part is that the trolling has not paid a single bill.. what ever ghana is becoming today is because of actions and not blabbing.. lets keep that clean sheet by continuing to work and build a prosperous nation and let the haters do the talking.. they make good publicist
laudate: Yes!! Saratu Atta is a nice, cultured, easy-going lady. She is also the daughter of former Governor of old Kwara State, the late Alhaji Adamu Attah. Her mother is a Ghanaian, though. She had one daughter for FFK, named Folake who is a graduate of a British university. Her younger sister Nana, is Femi Otedola's wife.
Some of her uncles and aunts include the late Alhaji Abdulaziz Atta, Nigeria’s first Head of Service and Secretary to the Federal Military Government during Gowon's regime. He is also the late father of Sefi Atta, the published novelist, prize-winning Nigerian author and playwright who is married to Gboyega Ransome-Kuti, one of the sons of the late Minister of health, Professor Olikoye Ransome-Kuti;
One of her uncles is Alhaji Mahmud Atta, who was once the Protocol Officer to the former Premier of the old Northern region. He later became Chairman of First Bank Plc, Nigeria.
Another uncle of hers' is Dr. AbdulMumini Atta, the second qualified medical doctor in Northern Nigeria while her paternal aunt is Judith Sefi Atta, first female Chief Education Officer in the North who later became an Ambassador to Italy and the first Minister for Federal Ministry of Women Affairs. Judith Sefinat Atta was the wife of the late poet Christopher Okigbo, who fought in the civil war.
its refreshing to know that there has been a cordial relationship between Nigerians and Ghanaians
Handsomecole: We have some Ghanian songs and artistes that we welcome here in Nigeria infact their songs are played and used to rock events and parties . Talk about the likes of VIP, Sakordie , R2 bees, I rem 4x4, infact I remeber "Kiss your bride" songs. Going back memory lane back in the 1990's up to the early 2000's it's was mostly foreign Music that were played in parties and events : I remember "Sisquo - Unleash the Dragon", Wyclef, DMX, Bahamen _ who let the dogs out but along the line Nigerian Artistes and Mostly Music producers, Media and Promoters took it upon themselves to step outside the Norm and up their game. The likes of Kenny Keke and D1 started Music promotion to different countries, The media played their part, different foreign beats where infused to our local beats that atimes when u listen to them you think they are foreign. The problem with Ghana what I see is that they have refused to up their game. One can easily identify a Ghana Song with the beat alone, their media over there are not helping issues too. The Ghana promoters, Music producers need to step up and step outside the norm in their music. What is big is big like somebody said.
there are top notch Ghanaian musicians.. the likes of r2bees , sarkodie, manifest ,jtown etc.. that why you see an a-list like wizkid blending with efya and r2bees.. there are tons of new comers doing their thing, capable of getting awards across the world stage.. the problem is in music promotion and media.. the government and private parties have done little on this aspect as compared tovv nigeria.. so a lot of talents are not getting the massive exposure.. its about branding and marketing... projecting your brand
PetroDolla3: Nigerians should leave Ghanaians alone to make whatever decision they think is best for their country! Ghanaians never interfered in nigeria's political process or elections, so why the fvck do nigerians think they have a right to offer an opinion on what choice Ghanaians should make? If the same Ghanaians who voted for the same party 4years ago are pushing for change this time, common sense expects non-Ghanaians to respect that viewpoint. What is this nonsense warning from busybody nigerians to Ghanaians about changing the current corrupt and incompetent president? Make una take time oooh?
you have said it all.. sad part is that a lot of them have no idea about Ghana politics but feel when they hear the word change its synonymous to them. how foolish
ahamonyeka: Ghanaians you people had better think twice and shine your eyes on who to vote for because the devil you know is better than the angel you do not know.
you seem to be conversant about the Ghanaian politico sphere. so what do you know about it?
