Hello.
Good evening
So I have some questions.
Currently a student, finishing in May and would be having my grad ceremony in July and I want to invite my mum over to attend.
My mum isn’t working , though she has the money to sponsor herself, but don’t want the whole “where is the money coming from” complicate matters.
And being in a student visa currently may affect the decision because they might wonder where I got the money from to sponsor her.
I also have a sister here who’s working already and I want to know if my sister can act as the sponsor for my mum coming over for my graduation.

Hello House, CBN has just approved my PTA but in their response they said my application has been approved by the processing bank but I will be notified by bank when it is ready for disbursement. Please, who knows how long will I need to wait for OR I should go to the bank for collection immediately. kindly advise.

I made a paid call on 8th and 9th November and was told that decision had been made, waited until the end of that week, still no show.
I made the 3rd call on 15th December and was told same that I should expect a decision mail which I never saw.
To my surprise, on 16th November, I received a mail from Sheffield escalation team in respect to the 1st call I made on 8th November that decision is in the final stage. Up till now, Tracker still shows that my application is at DMC.



I don't understand why a priority application should take this long.

Guys, please be careful with the schools you apply to.

Even if your agent tell you stories abeg they do research on your own.

They revoked the licence of this school . This information is from the Government website so no deceive yourself and argue, research and read for yourself.

No go waste your time and money.

So many other schools will still go down....

I tried calling the phone lines listed on their website in case there's any problem. It just keeps ringing, they're not picking up the phone. Is there any way around this?

I use it to pay for my visa fee and ihs. For you to be able to use it, you will need to subscribe for one year which is 90k

To access the full $2k, one has to wait till after the 15th day of the month
Else, you have a limit of $500 for the first 2 weeks of each month

Because I read somewhere else that the PV would still be applicable to students/work visas,etc

You have to update your details at the bank to align with your passport and reprint the bank statement

So far so good, Glasgow Caledonian university (London campus) still seems like the cheapest for Msc in London.. 13500£ per year.. Because others I have been seeing is 16k 17k and so on... Pls, can any one shed more light on this...

1) In London (my sponsor, said it should be in London so as to save cost of accommodation and feeding. He lives in London)
2) A cheap school that accept at most 3500 to 4k as initial payment.

My POF bank account is frozen because of a big sum of money that entered before I started counting.. at the moment I cant even print pof beacuse the account is frozen.. please how do I go about this.. I'm just exhausted..hope this is not a problem?

Go to your bank with your ID card and most likely Nepa bill and tell them to upgrade the account.

So anyone can actually apply btw now and 2Moro, they might be lucky though

I called the African division to confirm for my friend and I was told it has closed.
It may be opened for other international students from other parts of the world though

The last part of your clarification got me confused. The same account statement I printed out can be used for visa application? Because by then the money should have been more than 28 days in my account. So it doesn't really matter if the number of days for account statement exceeds 28 days for visa application?

Yes, the bank statement is valid for 30 days
If during your application to collection of visa processing, that time frame elapses and a decision hasn't been made, you may be required to print out another bank statement to upload
That's it's advisable to leave the cash until visa is granted

1. I really need you guidance. From your comments I noticed you are going Teesside University. Please I am so confused about the proof of fund to obtain CAS, like what and what are required? Does the 28 days apply to obtain CAS? When does my 28 days start to count?
2. For the deposit: After making the 4,000 pounds deposit, is it the remaining tuition money that I will put in my account or maintenance money inclusive?
3. If I am going for two years course, is it the balance for the first year or second year inclusive will be deposited to obtain CAS?

After Making your 4k deposit and it's confirmed (directly from them or you send to africa@tees.ac.uk), you would get a confirmation offer and a mandatory questionnaire to fill and submit with your POF
For the POF, it's the balance of your fees after deposit +9207
For 2years, you only have to show the POF of the first year (1500 or 2k (this amount depends on if you're given a discount and how much discount you were given)+9207
For 16months 6k5 or 7 (this amount depends on if you're given a discount and how much discount you were given) +9207

You start counting your POF the day after your money is complete (balance of fees. +9207), except you've had more than enough previously in your account, then just calculate 28days and print out

Meanwhile, it should be more than the exact money value on Oanda check-rate due to fluctuation

This POF and MQ is submitted together, after which you are checked and then issued CAS within 5 working days
You can then apply for VISA with the same account statement
Let the money REMAIN in your account until your visa is out

My husband has been able to get PTA but in dollars with a one way ticket. He showed evidence that his school gave scholarship. So if your school gave a discount on the original tuition even if its 2000 pounds deduction, this serves as a scholarship.
