People are continuously being warned against identity theft and fraud, they are current high profile issues which probably instigated her network to invest in this investigation and expose.

P.S - it is not as though they decided on Nigeria to investigate, they simply got in contact with people that had been targetted and the investigative trail lead them to Nigeria - what other Country do you knw that reaches such extremes tha 100s of people are on the internet and contacting these Americans, openly stating that are from Nigeria.

Personally i feel Oprah doesn't hold the blame for anything, all she is doing is her part along with her investigative reporters in protecting their people. It is not as though they fabricated or even exagerated the story, they investigated it, followed the trail right back to Nigeria, internet cafes and individuals involved. No it doesn't put us in a good light, but we have known about this criminal activity for decades and it's only now that our government are starting to take action for the sole reason that the western governments are pressuring them to.

If he wanted to test her he should have sent another guy to do it, not himself as she was obviously commited to him and willing to whatever it takes to make him happy.
People do for some reason test their partners, but not necessarily fiancees and you get someone else that is not known to u to do it.

Damn! I definitely feel u on this one, no man has the right to put his hands on any woman including his wife. Unfortunately my father was the same growing up, his last mistake was tryn that s**t while we were all bk home 10+ yrs ago, 4 males n 1 female all now fully grown up and self depedant - since then he's never tried it again. I suppose where my mother tolerated it for so many years for her own reasons, u decided to get out of there while u were still breathing. Unfortunately there are numerous men out there being of African decent that still commit such attrocities, but they are small in numbers compared to us decent black men!
Regarding yo statement of men sleeping with single mothers but not taking them home to mama - again true to an extent - unfortunately African men are one of the last species to adapt to changes in this continuously developing global community. Yes divorces are at an increase, partially due to yo own reasons and also from the guy's perspective as well i.e. wife beats him. There is also a shortage of decent women out there as well - so i guess what i'm saying is, if you know you are a good hearted n decent woman that any man would be proud to be with, then such taboos will be thrown out the window once u meet the right man.
