Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Lady Loses Job Opportunity Due To Her Response To HR's Phonecall by Ibelearner(m): 12:42pm On Apr 03, 2021 |
Wisemfon: A lady I referred for a bank job in the first week of June got a call this morning to resume work at an Uyo branch of the said commercial bank. She was fortunate to be among the few applicants that were shortlisted from among a large pool of graduates who got interviewed for the jobs. No, but she won't be resuming! She finally lost the opportunity because of a phone call. She had received the call in the early hours of today, 10:00am precise. It was from the HR department of the bank.
But she didn't say "hello".
Her first remark when she picked was "who's this?"
Before she got any other reply she added "how did you get my number?"
The HR person goes "Am I speaking to Miss xxxxxxx?"
She felt the question is unnecessary! And she gave her final response.
"Please if you don't want to introduce yourself get out of my phone" that was her final word!
I got a feedback from the HR by 12noon today and I listened to that conversation. Those kinds of phone calls are always recorded for reference purposes.
Aunty lost the job because she lacks Phone Conversations Etiquette! I listened to the recorded version of that conversation.
She lost the job because she believes every unknown male caller is a "chyker".
You see? After all it's not always because HR people are "despicable" as they have been labeled by Nigerians!
Why would a Homosapien answer a phone call like this in the year 2020AD?
Watch out! Your next phone call might be your breakthrough! But your ill-manners could cost you the miracle Learning... |

Offpoint1: Too many unanswered prayers, I quit praying and start working more, building myself more, learning more skills and I start getting results and I say what's the point? Everything you prayed for doesn't happen until you work for it... then what's the point of the prayers? If I asked my earthly father's stuffs and he continuously doesn't give me until I work for it, what's the point of asking? let me start working for it since it's more effective than asking for it.
There are too many things we don't want to speak up both Christians and Muslims because we're too afraid of the hell threats... 50% of humans are serving God out of fear of hell, the rest 50% are serving God out of personal greed which is promised of heaven.
If you're down at accident scene with injuries, no amount of prayers will save you if you're not taking to hospital for medical attention In sickness it's still the same In needs your fellow humans will be at your mercy when you speak up or when they noticed the signs.
Maybe the Brain behind our existence Left us to our own faith, Maybe he made us to be our own gods by having each others backs.
I've gotten to the stage I'm no longer afraid to ask questions, I've stopped buying that "you can't question God" lines pastors and preachers had been giving me... I've stopped buying "the portal and clay" analogy. Clay doesn't complain about how the portal mould it because it's an inanimate object with no consciousness... Don't expect me to be like that.

Family › Re: I've Never Seen A Girl As Dirty As My Cousin Sister by Ibelearner(m): 9:18pm On Feb 20, 2021 |
Danhoys: I thought I knew what dirtiness was until my cousin's sister started living with us. We gave her a room, a roof over her head until she finds her bearing.
She's an orphan, almost going to 28 years, and sells food on Sundays for cash.
But, looking at her, she's the replica of the word 'unappealing.'
Her hair is always shabby, dirty, and she never attempt to even braid it to keep it in order. Black is beautiful, but hers comes in brown patches and acne.
She doesn't even care.
We have a water closet, and she's ready to keep popping without an attempt to flush. The last time I traveled and left the home for a week, the toilet was beyond what I could comprehend.
To the point I had to do renovation, repainted the wall, and had to hire a cleaner to help wash the toilet thoroughly.
I couldn't risk catching a disease doing it myself. That was how bad it was.
After doing all these, she stopped using the toilet, but would prefer to pop in the compound with a black nylon at night.
Sometimes, she even forget to throw them away. I had woke up very early in the morning. Saw her bucket and wanted to use it, what I saw changed my day.
I saw her feces, and since then I vowed never to touched a bucket that is isn't mine.
Aside from her protruding stomach which she does little to hide, the wrapper she wears every evening have never seen water in months.
Women are supposed to be conscious of their unclothedness, but not this cousin of mine.
She can avoid all the bathrooms, and choose to bathe outside in the open at night.
Like, around 8 to 9 pm when everyone is still very much awake.
Sometimes children will bump in on her unintentionally, and the kid will run away traumatized by what he or she have seen.
I dare not go into details to recount how she prepares the food she sales, and how dirty her coolers and kitchen utensils can swim with maggots for 6 days before she finally washes them on Saturday and prepares food on Sunday for her esteemed customers.
She's not beautiful facially, nor wear makeup or earrings since it's against her belief.
Doesn't wear clothes that suit her. If she dresses like an mbeke, that wouldn't be a problem. I just don't understand her dressing at all, coupled with her dirty look.
When it comes to religion, hers is the worse, jumping from one church to the other. And worse, we hardly sleepy at midnight.
She is always in battle with demons, with her speaking of tongues that don't just sound ridiculous, but deafening and irritating.
She's just 28, and I doubt if any man has ever stopped her on the road, and I still suspect she have never laid with a man before.
She's not mentally unstable if that is what most of you might think.
She's lively, knows how to joke and hold conversations like we all do. But when it comes to her body, grooming, overall cleaningness, she's zero.
There are grades of dirtiness, but when it comes to a stage where someone now dines and wines with feces, then there is a problem somewhere.
She's shapeless and doesn't want to do anything about it despite my numerous advise. She eats junk, like...
She runs to the backyard, gets some vegetables and fry it up with some concoctions and food is ready.
I know all their foods, and the things she cooks is nothing less than a concoction. I've eat her food once and my stomach testified.
A thoroughly analysis of her personality fascinates me to some extent. Is this her personality? Something that is genetically engineered into her that she has no control over?
Can she change?
Do you think I can help her, how? Please aunty keep on trying cause it not easy been an orphan. Please don't forget to ask God help cause there's nothing God can't change when he is involved. |

Phones › Re: Linking NIN To SIM: Matters Arising by Ibelearner(m): 4:00pm On Jan 06, 2021 |
naijadrivablog: One of the latest policies is to add (or harmonise) National Identity Number to our SIM card registrations. First, they gave an unrealistic deadline but extended it to March 2021.
While this is good to curb insecurity and/or check crime and other things, the exercise is already raising more questions than answers are provided, which are:
1. What happens to Mr Ade Nwosu Hassan whose full name reflected on his NIN but whose SIM card was registered with Ade Nwosu? My neighbor is in this group of persons. He went to his network provider and he was asked to go back to NIMC to remove any name that is not in his SIM registration.
Shouldn't it it be a case where since there is no error or incomplete name of the subscriber from NIN, the network providers, who seem to be clueless as to what to do, add the full name of the subscriber to his registration (an update), since his biometrics and picture can be verified?
2. SIM cards registered in Company lines. My friend has a business where they use CUG lines so as to make cheap calls and other benefits that comes with it. He has over 30 staff and each CUG line is registered to his company and not the staff. What happens since Companies don't have NIN, let alone several NIN to register all the lines registered to it? Will those lines go dormant?
3. What happens to those whose NIN registrations has one error or another? For Example, I know someone whose name is "Adejoh Yusuf" but was mispelt as "Adejh Yusuf" You know that his NIN can't be verified as there would be discrepancies.
As at today, the Telecom companies have no clear cut information as to how to resolve some issues related to linking NIN to SIM cards yet. They keep redirecting people to NIMC, even when there may be no need. Remember that NIMC and other authorised bodies would be under immense pressure this period. And the newly created NIMC app my not resolve some issues like error correction etc. I even know someone whose NIN number on his NIN slip doesn't work but when he dials a code to get it from NIMC, another (correct) code pops up.
Thank goodness an app was launched by FG but some issues need one to be physically present at NIMC to resolve.
What is your challenge so far? Laalas na to use simcardless phone Na that wan go sure pass just wishing 0 Nigeria my country! |
