moyakz:Are you my man? |
Dimples999:How many men can handle breakup? |
Reason 1. Lack of attention and intimacy: How long can you go without receiving love and attention before you look somewhere else? Some can go for only days or weeks, and others can go for years. However, in general, women need and desire intimacy, physical touch, and mental and emotional attention. If you are not receiving this from your husband or boyfriend, it will only be a matter of time and you may seek it from another i.e. a caring guy friend, the attentive guy who feeds your emotional needs at your workplace, or the hot trainer at the gym. Women deprived of attention, compliments, and compassion; usually have emotional affairs. That doesn't mean it won't lead to sex, but initially they crave the attention and compassion that has been absent from their relationship. Reason 2. Revenge: Being cheated on is a very difficult act to forgive. For those of you who have been cheated on, you know how awful it feels. You feel deceived, hurt, angry, sad, numb and even violated. It also affects your self-esteem. At the moment, you find out your man cheated, your whole body begins to shake, you begin to sweat, your stomach drops, and you feel nauseated. Clearly, it negatively affects your relationship, your mood, behavior, and your ability to trust the cheater ever again. When you have been cheated on, some of you may want to get revenge by making them feel the way you felt. This can lead you, to do the cheating next. The biggest truth is that cheating never solves a relationship problem. Communication, assertiveness and increasing passion and romance in your relationship are a much better solution. Reason 3. Bad sex: Women need to feel desired and experience REAL orgasms during sex. If women are getting bad sex, not enough sex, non-emotional sex, or "wham-bam-thank-you-mam" sex, you may eventually lose interest in the relationship and look elsewhere for GOOD sex! This creates a temptation to seek sexual or emotional satisfaction elsewhere. In my opinion, it's best to communicate your needs to your man with the hopes that he will step it up a notch. You can do this on your own or with the help of a sex therapist. Reason 4. Weight loss/plastic surgery: Male attention increases quickly after a boob job, a butt implant or weight loss, and so does your self-confidence. With all this male attention, your temptation to cheat rises, and it takes more self-control to resist some of those male offers. Once you realize other guys want you, your desire to act on it may have you feeling euphoric. However, be careful, act wisely and make your pros and cons list. Reason 5. Financial independence: When you feel financially dependent on your husband or boyfriend, it's more difficult to speak up in arguments or leave the relationship. The fear of being alone and financially unstable keeps you in a one-down position. Now that women make their own money, enjoy working, and are good at it, the need to stay in an unhappy relationship is not necessary. That feeling of power and independence can be like seeing the red carpet laid out for you; all the way to those other fish in the sea. Reason 6. Low self-esteem: When you feel insecure about yourself, you have a need to seek validation from others. This can be in the form of sexual, emotional, or intellectual attention. When you don't love or value yourself, you may project that onto the person you are in a relationship with, and believe they don't love or value you. Even if your husband or boyfriend loves you greatly, you still may cheat because you find it hard to accept their unconditional love. I suggest reading one of the many self-help books out there on building your self-esteem, or get some counseling to help improve self-confidence. Reason 7. Feeling under-appreciated: When you are in a relationship, you like to please your man. Cooking a romantic dinner, buying sexy lingerie, and listening with your heart, are just a few ways you may show your love and appreciation. So what happens when you don't hear "thank you, please or I love you.” Holidays and birthdays come and you don't receive anything meaningful, nothing at all, not even a verbal acknowledgment. We all have thresholds, and once yours is reached, you may decide to act on a "thank you, please, or I love you" coming from another direction. Let your man know he may lose you if he continues to take you for granted. Reason 8. Bored: He doesn't spray on that good smelling cologne anymore, his clothing is wrinkled, stained or way out-of- date. When he comes home from work (assuming he has a job), it's the same old thing; "what's for dinner"? When the weekend comes, he says he's tired and just wants to relax at home, or go out to the same sports bar you go every weekend. The routine is the same over and over again. You are no longer on the same page. You barely have anything in common. You are feeling emotionally distant from him. You find yourself looking at other prospects and fantasize about being with someone else. You begin to feel excited (something you haven't felt in "forever" just thinking about it.There are many ways to spice up an old, tired relationship. Boredom is something that can be resolved with a little, or sometimes a moderate amount of effort. It requires both of you introducing new ideas and behaviors, and some spontaneity. Be sure of what you want. Culled From Palmchat |

In my opinion, nothing justifies cheating though some of the reasons are valid enough |
I am a 35 year old married woman who has been screwing a 21 year old for the last six months. I have been happily married for 10 years to a wonderful man who treats me like a princess. He works hard, provides well and I have no complaints except one: he is lousy in bed. I was a bit wild before I met him and I had a lot of lovers begining when I was really young but when I met him I decided to settle down. My husband had no idea how many men I had been with and still does not. It took us six weeks to even have sex, well I was also seeing another guy at that time because no way I was going six weeks without. I tried to be faithful but it only took a few months for me to slip. A few too many out with the girls and in walks this old boyfriend of mine who was just great in bed. I ended up bent over the bathroom sink in the ladies room while a girlfriend stood watch at the door. Damn it was great and it got me thru about another two months before I could not stand it any longer. I screwed a neighbor for a year before his wife found out he was cheating on her but somehow she didn't find out it was me. I could go on and on about ten years of cheating on my husband who never had a clue. BUT this story is about a 21 year old that is now my obsession. His family moved in down the street and the first time I saw him he was mowing the lawn shirtless with only a pair of tight jeans on. Damn, his body was perfect! I avoided his mom as best I could because somehow I knew she would know I wanted her son really bad. Her husband wasn't all that bad either but maybe some other time? He worked at a local store so one day I dressed in just a pair of shorts that showed off my ass really well and a top that well hung the girls right out there. I got a bunch of dirty looks as I walked in the store. The local ladies are such bitches. I knew he was at work so I went back and found him. His eyes went right to my tits and I knew this was going to be easy. When I finally got his attention off them I told him I lived down the street, he already knew as I had made plenty of effort to be out when he was. I had waited until my husband was out of town so I would have an excuse to ask him to help me out. I said on your way home could you stop and help me lift some boxes down from the attic? Of course I could have done that myself but men like to be big and strong. He stopped by and I showed him the boxes. I stood on the floor and held the ladder and watched his fun little behind. I offered him a beer and we sat around talking. I was way forward but he didn't mind and we ended up doing it on the couch. Afterwards he looked really guilty and I assured him I no longer had sex with my husband because of a medical problem. A total lie, we screwed at least three times a week even though my husband just isn't built to please if you know what I mean? So, almost every day he would come by. At first when my husband was out of town he would sneak by after dark and into the back door. He also hit my back door a few times. OK, then it was the daytime trips here and there and once we got caught by a deputy. I was face down with him in the passenger seat when the flashing lights came on. I sat up fast and he zipped up fast but the deputy knew what I was doing. He asked me to get out of the car and checked to see if I was sucking legal dick which I was. After a long talk about not doing things like that he let us go. I promised never to suck dick in the park again. Too bad I loved doing that and once when I was in High School I did two guys a hundred feet or so from right there. So, my husband does not know me for who I really am. I wonder what he would think of me if he came home and found a 21 year old pounding me? Culled From Palmchat |
Nairaland what do you think |
1. He was once sued by the Justice Department for racial discrimination. In 1973, while serving as president of the Trump Management Corporation, Trump was accused of allegedly discriminating against black people who were trying to rent apartments in his buildings in Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island. The Justice Department sued the company for lying to black prospective renters about the availability of apartments, and giving them different lease terms and conditions than white tenants. And while Trump dismissed the accusations, countersuing the Justice Department for defamation (to the tune of $100 million), his company was sued again in 1978 for violating conditions in a settlement from the first case ― by continuing to discriminate against black people. 2. He placed a racially charged full page newspaper ad calling for the return of the death penalty in New York. The way the media covered the story of the Central Park Five (teen boys wrongly accused and imprisoned for the rape of a Central Park jogger) was bad enough. But Trump taking out an ad in several New York City newspapers in 1989 during the height of the trial demanding that the death penalty be reinstated in New York was just the awful cherry on top. “I recently watched a newscast trying to explain ‘the anger in these young men,’” Trump wrote. “I no longer want to understand their anger. I want them to understand our anger. I want them to be afraid.” Yikes. The over-the-top ad, a thinly veiled reference to the Central Park Five and other young black boys in the city, further demonstrates Trump’s subtle but profound lack of regard for the lives of underprivileged black people. 3. He thinks black people are lazy. According to a book written by former Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino president John R. O’Donnell, the real estate mogul once said in 1991 that “Laziness is a trait in blacks.” He was allegedly referring to a black accountant working for Trump Plaza, and added, ““Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.” The kicker is that Trump, in a 1999 Playboy magazine interview, did not even deny saying those things. He admitted O’Donnell’s allegations were “probably true,” but insisted it didn’t matter because he was obviously a disgruntled employee. 4. But he also thinks educated black people have it way better than white people? Trump has attacked affirmative action on several occasions. In a 1989 interview with Bryant Gumbel on NBC’s two-hour special “The Race” Trump said: “A well-educated black has a tremendous advantage over a well-educated white in terms of the job market. I think sometimes a black may think they don’t have an advantage or this and that... I’ve said on one occasion, even about myself, if I were starting off today, I would love to be a well-educated black, because I believe they do have an actual advantage.’’ OK, bruh. 5. He’s antagonistic toward the Black Lives Matter movement. Trump has often made off-color remarks about the Black Lives Matter movement, defiantly insisting on using the conversation-derailing phrase “All Lives Matter” and criticizing the movement for peacefully protesting political candidates including Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. Speaking to reporters ahead of a Michigan rally in 2015, Trump said that Sanders was “weak” for allowing protesters to interrupt one of his rallies. “I would never give up my microphone. I thought that was disgusting,” he said. But perhaps what’s more disgusting is the fact that... 6. ...He doesn’t call out some of his supporters for their blatant racism. Besides dragging his feet in disavowing David Duke and white supremacy as a whole, Trump has been pretty conspicuous about failing to call out some elements of his core supporters who are quite obviously racist. Case in point: the several instances in the last few weeks of peaceful black protestors at Trump rallies being forcefully, violently removed by his supporters. Check out this one incident, where a protester was punched and shoved at a North Carolina rally: The Trump supporter who was charged for assaulting the young black protester in the video later said: “The next time we see him, we might have to kill him.” Trump’s silence around all this can be read as complacency at best and subtle encouragement at worst. Whether he agrees with this kind of behavior from some of his supporters or not, there’s no denying that Trump’s message of anger is stoking the fires of hatred for certain voters. 7. His Racial tweet: "Sadly, because president Obama has done such a poor job as president, you won't see another black president for generations!" - 25 Nov 2014 8. Reminder: his stance on Muslims and immigration would affect millions of black people, too. Donald Trump has said some pretty awful things about Latinos (especially Mexicans) and Muslims over the last several months. But what he and many others probably forget is that his positions on immigration, his call for a ban on Muslims and a border wall would also affect the 23 percent of Muslims in the United States who are black. There are approximately 11 million undocumented immigrants living in America. According to the Pew Research Center, 16 percent of those undocumented immigrants are black ― some are Afro-Latinos, or African, or from the Caribbean and the West Indies. While Trump’s comprehension of black issues in America seem to begin and end with employment and police brutality, there’s a whole population of black people who would be just as negatively affected by these other issues. 9. He thinks slavery era was a good time in America. On Aug. 16, Trump talked to the La Crosse Tribune about his love of the Reagan years of the 1980s, and also stated that the 1700s and early 1800s (AKA the slavery era) were also a golden age for America “economically.” “The industrial revolution was certainly ― in terms of economically ― that was when we started to grow,” Trump stated, missing the fact that the reason the country began to grow was because of institutionalized slavery. 10. He has a condescending and false perception of the average black person in America. “What do you have to lose by trying something new, like Trump?” The Republican candidate said at a Michigan rally on Aug. 20. “What do you have to lose? You live in your poverty, your schools are no good, you have no jobs, 58 percent of your youth is unemployed. What the hell do you have to lose?” Of course, the majority of black people in America do not live in poverty, and his number for unemployed black youth was grossly exaggerated (it’s 18.7 percent). It’s hard to see how painting the black experience as one of utter desperation is supposed to appeal to black voters, but OK. 11. He continues to dismiss the reality of police brutality. In the same Michigan rally speech, Trump added: “Look, it is a disaster the way African-Americans are living... We’ll get rid of the crime. You’ll be able to walk down the street without getting shot. Right now, you walk down the street, you get shot.” It’s a statement full of irony ― Trump can acknowledge that black people are being shot walking down the street, but he won’t acknowledge that police brutality is a factor in some of these shootings. He’ll focus on “black-on-black crime,” on the need to give police more power, but gloss over police shootings of unarmed black men and women. Police brutality is perhaps one of the biggest issues facing black people today, and he doesn’t want to talk about it. That can’t be a good sign. 12. He’s been endorsed and supported by white supremacists. Donald Trump was infamously endorsed by former KKK leader David Duke in February, an endorsement that Trump initially refused to disavow, though he eventually did. Trump has, of course, garnered the support of numerous white supremacist voters, the most vocal of which can be found on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. In addition to that, the Trump campaign chose white nationalist William Johnson as a California delegate (the campaign later claimed his selection was due to a “database error.”) Trump’s wide support from the white supremacist world certainly doesn’t bode well for black people and other people of color, should he become president. Yes, Donald Trump took the time to meet with black pastors last year. Yes, he likes Ben Carson, and Omarosa, and surely plenty of other black people, too. He hosted a gala dinner for the NAACP once. Wonderful. But those things, in light of his past and present history with race, are the equivalent of saying something like, “But I have a black friend!” This isn’t even about whether or not Donald Trump is racist or not. It’s about how his past comments, practices, and approaches to pressing black issues (like police brutality) would manifest themselves in his policies. He would not be “good” for us at all. Not by a long shot. Culled From Palmchat Community https://img.huffingtonpost.com/asset/scalefit_630_noupscale/56e0752f1500002a000b17d0.jpeg |
Last year, the 5 biggest US tech companies -- Alphabet, Apple, Facebook, Amazon, and Microsoft -- spent a combined $49m on Washington lobbyists, while the 5 biggest US banks spent just $19.7m. This illustrates the dramatic shift that’s taken place under the Obama administration, as “the revolving door with [tech] companies is spinning ever faster -- as it once did with Wall Street.” The power and influence of tech firms during the Obama government is unprecedented so says The Hustle. Throughout Obama two terms at The White House, 183 people that worked under him were hired by Google, while 58 Google employees left Google to work for him. That’s a lot of overlap! And it’s not just the Google. Former Attorney General, Eric Holder, works at Airbnb now, Obama’s former campaign manager took a job at Uber. _______________________________________ NOW...... Can we breathe in for a moment and ask where Nigeria's former ministers and top government functionaries are working presently. The dilemma of Nigeria is that in the last three decades, we have had a situation whereby men and women without a second address found themselves in the corridors of power. Once out of power, they are out of job, and out of meaningful work. That is why a man who led a state as Governor for eight years will still lobby hard and mess himself up in the process just to be appointed a Senior Special Adviser to the President. Or even a junior minister. Some will just take anything as long as it comes with an official car, a Police Orderly and a pilot vehicle with siren upfront. After eight years as Governor? Years ago, we had an interview with the late President of Zambia Levi Nwanawasa. From the Presidential Palace, he pointed out his Law Chambers at one of the prominent buildings in Lusaka, and told us that 48 hours after leaving office, he will dust up his wig and head to work at his chambers. Nigeria's bane is the preponderance of professional politicians. Men and women who do not have a second address after political office. That is why we are paying 109 Senators, and 360 members of House of Representatives heavily to sit and make laws for us. Yet in 365 days a year, majority of them sit for less than 35 days. Why shouldn't we have a part time legislature where we pay only sitting and transport allowances? Why must we bring 414 men and women and their families to Abuja and pay them so dangerously and stupidly well that their living habits end up distorting the market of virtually every sector and every item in Abuja. We have even created an industry out of the National Assembly. A humongous consumerist class that add nothing to the growth of this economy. Can you point out up to 60 former Senators or members of the House of Reps from 1999 to 2015 that are gainfully employed in a value creating wealth creating venture? Or even the governors, and their deputies ![]() ??Leaders that can't even write a 50 page book to document their experience in leadership so that those coming after them may learn. Leaders who can't write books.......that is the worst kind of leaders anywhere in the world because they were not even conscious of the decisions they took while in office, so how will they recollect. Until majority of our politicians are drawn from among wealth creators. This country will not move forward." Culled From Palmchat |

Cheating in a relationship is, of course, not monopolized by either gender. Men cheat, women cheat, and according to studies, they have different reasons for doing so. I don’t think we can necessarily just say “men cheat for this reason, and women cheat for this reason,” though. Each individual person and scenario brings about a reason or reasons of its own. That being said though, I think we need to be careful of blanket statements like all men cheat or all women cheat. As a man, I can only speak on behalf of my own gender. I have never cheated and would never cheat – but when I say this to people they always ask how I can say I would never cheat? There are plenty of reasons why a good man would never even have the thought cross his mind… A good man appreciates what he has. Obviously, this is a big reason. The more you appreciate your partner, the more valuable they are to you, and the less you are willing risk losing them or hurting them. When a good man truly loves and appreciates the woman in his life, he would never act in ways that put his relationship with her in jeopardy. A good man has evolved beyond his primal urges. We all have biological urges instilled in us by billions of years of evolution. The desire to reproduce, sexual attraction, so on and so forth. This is often used as an excuse for cheating because “we are not built for monogamy.” While monogamy isn’t necessarily natural to humans, a good man understands that being natural is not the point. Monogamy is a choice. It is a pledge to the person you love to commit yourself to them, and only them. A good man has the ability to resist his basic urges for the sake of a more important choice he has made for himself. A good man values love over a fleeting experience. When you are in a loving, committed relationship with someone, there are far more layers of fulfillment than just sex. A relationship based solely on sexual attraction is a flimsy one that could fall apart at the first challenge; but when two people genuinely love and respect each other, they can weather any storm. Some people spend their lives searching for that kind of connection. Some find it quickly, some take longer, but when a good man does find it – the thought of throwing it all away for a few minutes of sexual satisfaction (that he could get at home anyway) just makes no sense. A good man has a conscience. A simple reason, yes – but a strong one nonetheless. The constant guilt associated with cheating on a woman you love and then having to pretend everything is great when you are around her; I would imagine, is impossibly difficult. A good man respects the woman in his life. Cheating is disrespect. It is casting someone else’s feelings aside because of something temporary you want. But not just something you want; something you want at the expense of your girlfriend/wife, and your relationship. Cheating is lying to someone, it is breaking their trust, and those are not things you do to someone you respect. A good man has grown past adding notches to his bedpost. A man who is secure and confident in himself no longer has a need to validate his manhood or self-worth by proving he can ‘get the girl.’ Men who are insecure often times need to continue achieving conquests in order to feel like men. Anyone in this position would be better served to simply stay single and sew their wild oats before they choose to commit to someone exclusively. A good man respects himself. C. S. Lewis once said: Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. I think some men stop themselves from cheating simply because they are afraid of getting caught – but good men would stay faithful even if it were guaranteed that nobody would find out if they weren’t. Why? Because he respects himself. He holds a certain standard for the way he lives his life and the character he has worked so hard to build and maintain. Entering into a committed relationship is not just a pledge to your partner, it is also a pledge that your future self will uphold the promises your present self has made. A good man doesn’t take the easy way out. Cheating is the easy way out. It’s the easy way out of a bad relationship. It’s the easy way to escape. It’s the easy way to avoid responsibility for a breakup by doing something stupid and having her end it instead. It is a way to avoid facing your problems rather than standing up and dealing with them like a grown adult. Not all relationships are meant to last. Breakups happen every day and for all different reasons – but a good man will understand that and take it in stride. If he is in a relationship he knows isn’t going to work, or if the time comes he has fallen out of love and knows he shouldn’t be stringing his girlfriend on any longer, he will sit her down and have an adult conversation with her about his feelings. He will not start acting single while he is still in a relationship. A good man values his reputation. In an earlier point we discussed the concept of integrity and how a good man still wouldn’t cheat even if he was guaranteed to get away with it. The reality of it is though, that he is not guaranteed to get away with it. Some do, and some don’t – but the ones who don’t find themselves with a ruined reputation and behind the 8-ball when it comes to trustworthiness. Being labeled as a cheater is not just about your romantic life, it permeates your entire character and makes people look at you differently. If you would turn your back and betray the person you ‘love,’ how are people with lesser connections with you supposed to take your word for anything? A good man will never turn his back on a friend. In a happy, healthy relationship – you are not only lovers, but friends. Best friends. You are each others support systems, teammates, and confidants. A good man will never betray a friend, let alone a best friend. A good man doesn’t even have time to cheat. You might be thinking to yourself – that’s not a very good reason…am I saying that if he was less busy or had more time he would be hanging out at the bar trying to pick up women? Absolutely not – if he was less busy or had more time he would be using that time to find new ways to love the woman he already has. That’s why a good man doesn’t have the time to cheat, because the time he does have is dedicated to the woman he loves. The woman he has committed himself to. The woman who he spends his life trying to make happy. The woman he sees as an extension of himself. The woman he has tied his emotions to. Hurting her would be hurting himself – and that is something no good man would choose to do. Cheating is not an accident. It is not something you slip and fall into. It is not an immediate event that nobody saw coming. It requires the same process that any seduction would – an initial meeting, flirting, maybe some exchanging of information, an invitation, an acceptance of said invitation, and then finally the act itself. There are countless chances for a man to say “sorry, I’m in a relationship,” which is exactly what a man who is truly committed to you will do. Every time. Culled From Palmchat http:///palmchatnow |

Good morning. Platforms like this are only good enough for so much. There is a lot of energy among the young citizens & I am glad there is. There is a lot about Nigeria, the judiciary & the legal profession that requires correcting. All I want to offer is a bit of historical context, especially for younger Nigerians here: (a) In 1970, Gen. Gowon had won the war. He was riding crest of a wave. He released a 9-point programme preceding his hand-over of power in 1976. Item 3 on that programme was "eradication" of corruption. (b) In 1974, Gowon said 1976 was no longer feasible as handover date. Murtala Mohammed, who succeeded Gowon as Senior Prefect in Barewa College, overthrew him in 1975 (July) & went on a spree of purging everywhere including the courts. Taslim Elias CJN & another Sup Crt judge were fired. In his place, Murtala appointed Sir Darnley Alexander. A naturalised Nigerian, Sir Darnley loved a bit of a beverage & was a happy man! Nigerians were excited. We were an ecstatic country! (c) Murtala was tragically killed in Feb 1976, Obasanjo took over & by 1979 the view was settled that Murtala's purge had worsened corruption not solved it. (d) when Obasanjo handed over in 1979, Shehu Shagari launched "Ethical Revolution" to attack corruption. Corruption, it turned out, was worse not healed. (e) by 1983, Buhari had overthrown Shagari because... You guessed it: Corruption got worse under Shagari. (f) 19 months later, IBB overthrew Buhari accusing him of corrupting & abusing his powers. He initiated review of security agencies & enacted in 1986 the National Security Agencies Act, creating, among others, SSS. We are now fighting over its powers. (g) By the time IBB stepped aside in 1993, Ike Okonta wrote memorably that he had "corrupted democracy & democratized corruption." (h) Gen Abacha took over promising to hand over power but hung on & wanted to use corruption to make himself civilian President. (i) By the time we returned to democracy in 1999, President Obasanjo told us it would "not be business as usual." 3 years later, he was using Justice Egbo-Egbo to sack governors at night. Another years later, he was plying the NASS with billions in cash to change the constitution & give him a third term. I could go on. But what is my point? Without a sense of history, Nigerians are always suckered by the next strong man promising to fight corruption in even more "inventive" ways. This is only meant as a peek into history.
