Griffon:Jack Bauer is now "Nobody". He deleted his account and switched to GustavoFring which was also deleted to become "Nobody" before he finally landed on Nihilist. |
Nihilist:One can watch Athletics and type on phone na. But one cannot dig Nobody's posts! ![]() |
diggz:He was a Torres fan, of that there's no doubt! As Griffon has attested. He just jumped bandwagon quicker than the others. You know he doesn't like to be on the losing side too long. ![]() The thread you are looking at is nearly 24 months after Torres joined Chelsea and he is on the cusp of switching sides here. He is not like Nateevs that argues out of conviction and can stick to the same argument for 4 years sef. ![]() |
Nihilist:Most of your old accounts are now called "Nobody" after being banned by Seun several times. Why would you try to waste my time digging for Nobodys posts this fine evening when I'm trying to watch Athletics? |
Nihilist:You missed the point of logic . The point of logic is that you can't come on Nairaland arguing for Torres to play every week for over a year when ninjas were screaming for Studge and Lukaku to replace him, and then claiming you never supported Torres over Lukaku. There is no need to go digging. In 5 years time, Bimfo can't come and tell us he supported Batsuayi over Costa after posting all summer for us to go and beg Costa to come back in our team. We already know he doesn't rate Batsuayi. Like I said it's a minor issue. I am only drawing comparison between Lukaku of Torres era and Nathan Ake of Danny Drinkwater era, not trying to dig up old ruckus. |
Nihilist:I don't quite understand this post. We don't need to go digging 100 different arguments. But the main reason I really don't understand the point of this post is because it is an argument comparing Camacho against Axel Witsel. Newbies to football will be asking "Who is Camacho?" . . . . but they know Witsel ![]() |
Griffon:What's understood ain't got to be said. Nihilist joined this thread on Torres bandwagon and would not hear of anyone replacing him in starting 11 while we kept calling for Studge and Lukaku. It's not a big issue. I was a Drogba hater when I joined this thread in 2007 until 2009 when I changed my mind. He has right to support Nathan Ake in a few years just like he has right to switch from supporting Torres starting by any means. By that time, we would not ask who Danny Drinkwater was. |
funlord:Review 2011-2013 files if you have the time. |
Nihilist:No strength. Athletics dey on. Were you in Torres camp or not? That was your key argument when you joined this thread in 2011. Summer 2013, you switched from Torres to Lukaku camp. All you need to do is deny you were strongly pro-Torres. |
Nihilist:If you deny that you were in pro-Torres camp, then I might find strength to go digging. Until then, what's understood ain't got to be said. |
Nihilist:No need for digging. It's all good. The past is the past. Torres Camp - Nateevs, Cougar, Nihilist Anti-Torres Camp - Me, Raumdeuter, FBS, Griffon, of which I constantly called for Torres to be dropped for Sturridge and Lukaku and was opposed. Can't remember where lalaboi stood but I suspect anti-Torres Camp. You switched and saw the light at some point just like you will switch and see the light on Ake soon. It is better to be an early mover and embrace change early, unlike Nateevs who kept on supporting Torres almost till the end. ![]() |
Nihilist:You are known for switching sides very quickly just like you switched from Pogba fan to Pogba hater in the last 18 months. . . and Kante doubter to Kante Superfan in the last 12 months. So no need showing us 2014 and late 2013 posts after you must have switched sides after seeing Lukaku on loan doing what we told you he would do if given chance over Torres. Show us your 2012 and early 2013 posts defending Torres to high heavens. |
Nihilist:Should we call Nateevs to testify who his biggest supporter on Torres issue was when we were calling for Sturridge or Lukaku instead? Or maybe we should call Raumdeuter? Lukaku and Sturridge were your Nathan Ake back in Torres era. No time for archaeology. I say the truth as it was. |
Ibime:And just to add to this point about our loan system causing us to waste talent as opposed to SAF system of letting players grow within the club, what better example is there than Kevin De Bruyne and Lukaku who forced the club to sell them after going out on numerous loans, CRYSTALLIZING their return to Chelsea into a do-or-die affair where they ask the club to start them or sell them? Same players are now record transfers being hailed by the same nigga that was dissing them 4 years ago. Yes, I am talking about Nihilist! How can anyone chat shyte about a young nigga like Ake who turned himself into a £20m club record signing after just half-a-season loan? The same Nihilist chatting shyte about Ake now was chatting nonsense about Lukaku back in 2013, promoting Torres over Lukaku back then when we were telling him Lukaku should be starting over Torres, he was busy arguing with strong head.. Same as in 2013, we are hearing nonsense about Drinkwater in 2017. By 2019, he would become Akes biggest fan, telling us Mason Mount is rubbish and we should go and sign Ake for £50m. |
Nihilist:This is normal in the growth of a young player. As long as we include buyback clause, that means the club would have been happy to keep that player in the squad but the player wants to play every week. I told you that players establish themselves in a first 11 by sticking around the squad for years playing 5-10, then 10-20 games per year, sometimes waiting for an injury until they establish themselves. The loan system Chelsea use CRYSTALLIZES your transition to 1st team to just one year, where you either become a 1st team player immediately upon your return from a successful loan, or the club have to sell you within a year due to contractual impasse. Compare and contrast with Alex Ferguson system where he doesn't send you out on loan, but keeps you part of the team, giving you 3 to 5 years to get opportunities. As soon as Gary Neville gets injured, Wes Brown steps in for 2 years. As soon as Wes Brown gets injured, Rafael steps in for the next 3 years. As soon as Hargreaves gets injured, Darren Fletcher steps in for the next 5 years etc. That is how he kept John O'Shea, Johnny Evans, Wes Brown, Chris Smalling, Darren Fletcher, Rafael, Fabio etc growing into their skin for years and years. Whereas at Chelsea, you return from loan and have one year to make 1st 11 before your contract situation forces the club to sell you. So you ain't telling us nothing. Danny Drinkbleach is still coming to sit behind Kante, Baka and co. He can afford to ride bench at this stage of his career, Ake needs to play. I would be stüpid to consider keeping Danny Drinkbleach as a better long-term decision than Ake, all things being equal. |
BlueAngel444:Ake had 2 years on his contract. If you keep him around for one more year and he doesn't extend his contract, you will be selling him for Chalobah money (£6m) by this time next year, so no matter what you think of such a player, the best option is to let him leave with buyback clause. This is why the club now signs 4 to 5 years contract with players before sending them out on loan. If they return with only 2 years left on contract, they can call the shots. Same way Traore forced a move because he only had 2 years when he returned from Ajax. The reason Zouma, MVG, Kalas and Mario Pasalic signed long term contracts before going out on loan is that you want a player returning from loan with 3 years left on his contract. That gives you a year to blend him in, and if he doesn't work out, you can still sell him the next year with 2 years on his contract so he keeps his value. If a player returns from loan with only 2 years on his contract, he can force you to either guarantee him first team shirt or sell him straightaway. And even if you guarantee him first team shirt, there is no guarantee that he will sign new contract. The club allowed themselves to get into a contractual situation that allowed Traore, Solanke, Ake and Chalobah to call the shots, and they learned from it thus summer. Now nobody goes on loan without first signing a long term contract. It's more money for the players so it's a Win-Win. These are the calculations that go into whether these players like Ake/Chalobah etc are sold or not. If they are sold with buyback clause, just know the club is selling them reluctantly. |
Nihilist:Conte just told you from his own lips that it was his plan for Matic to remain first choice and Bakayoko to learn EPL under him. I've been telling you guys all summer that Matic was not chased out by anybody. Matic refused to sign new contract and the club made a financial decision to cash in on a 29 year old than let him run down his two years. The thing dey vex Conte die. Just like I said no one chased out Chalobah and Ake. Those boys just want to play guaranteed every week. Conte would happily keep them around. He was the one that gave Chalobah a place and recalled Ake from loan. As for Drinkwater that can't make England squad that lacks midfielders, I would rather keep a younger Dutch International, more technically refined player than subscribe to any foolishness that makes Danny Drinkbleach a better decision than keeping Ake. We are only chasing Danny Drinkbleach now because Conte made a miscalculation that the club would keep Matic. Now he is throwing his toys out of the pram, looking for any midfielder cos we are light in that area. Imagine Fabregas who is unsuited to that position and an injured Bakayoko as your only midfield options to partner Kante. That is a desperate situation. Someone should speak to him about deploying Luiz there rather than asking for Drinkbleach. |
nateevs:That's the nonsense Nihilist has been peddling, just like peddling nonsense that Conte shipped Ake out. |
Opinedecandid:My friend sharrap! |
Stewpidity is selling Ake for £20m, then chasing Drinkwater for £30m. |
chic2pimp:Nah, they have 3 good jumpers plus Akani Simbine. Add in the plethora of top Botswanans we are seeing who train in South Africa. I smell a fish in their Sports organisation. One African nation should not have this much top talent. How can Van Niekerk run 400m at the same pace from start to finish without slowing. Are his muscles self-regenerating? |
chic2pimp:Wetin dem do Makwala no dey right. Common security guard bounce am from stadium like small boy. Meanwhile made dem test Van Niekerk and all these South Africans. Anytime a country starts exploding like the SAFAs have done these last 2 years, something fishy is usually involved. |
raumdeuter:99% of players will balloon that ball. |
Griffon:Van Dijk is central CB for me, not left or right. I will move Luiz permanently. |
If we sign Van Dijk, we should sell Luiz or move him to midfield permanently. That CB is too overcrowded. Christensen go soon complain. |
I will cast final judgement on Morata when he has had a preseason. Spanish league starts late so his fitness is behind as Real Madrid had only just started preseason when we picked him up. He is not my style of striker, but I'm willing to give him a chance. What he needs to do is wake up and add aggression to his game. All those ninny style of play will not work here. |
Debroslink:Na her sister be that |
Oboy chic2pimp you see that 1.5km final? Too hot. I was hoping for Laura Muir or Sifan Hassan. I just like Hassans hangback style but she went too early this time. |
chic2pimp:Which truth? Semenya can't come and go and kill herself. That stewpid Scottish girl that was crying after finishing 6th in Olympics, if dem ban Semenya, will she finish in top 3? Meanwhile this women's 1500m go too hot. |
chic2pimp:Free the girl jor. That Paula Radcliffe just dey misyarn. 110m hurdles up next. Go Aries Merrit! |
Oga Griffon, abeg send me email make we yarn |
One Naija girl called Nathaniel really try for this 400m hurdles |
