Thank God it's International break so all these unnecessary explanations and shalaye ain't distracting from better Chelsea talks |
popizaino:I have been educated as to the error of my capping ![]() |
raumdeuter:Trust me, they are only doing it to avoid a diplomatic situation and not waste tax payers money in a jurisdiction he controls. What they cut and joined is not far from what he said and will be interpreted as such in an unbiased judgement especially when coupled with all his actions. If he wasn't in power they will contest it, and when he is out of power they will fire up again. Power is Power. |
KingTom:We are getting there ![]() |
raumdeuter:Same reason they manipulate Diddy, R Kelly documentaries or any expose. . . . to get straight to the point rather than litigate a long winded matter in a 30 mins show and bore viewers |
raumdeuter:You don't need to gaslight us on Trumps actions leading to the day, his campaign on Twitter for protests and the speech he gave on the day. From having fake electors to advertising all over Twitter for his supporters to march on Capital for Stop the Steal campaign while in his speech exhorting them to March and press the senators and using the words fight throughout his over hour long speech, and then refusing to tell the rioters to go home for hours until Ivanka forced him to Tweet it. Which President even meets and gives speech to protestors he called to the capital on the day of the new Presidents confirmation and asks them to march down the road to stop the confirmation and claim he is not inciting anything? BBC just cut to the chase of his actions as public don't have the attention span to go through his incitements and actions piecemeal over a period of 3 months. His first action in office was even to pardon the rioters. Bolsonaro is in jail for less than what Trump did. The victor always writes the story and he is in power now so he can throw his weight around. In future when everyone who is invested in defending is dead and gone, the story will be told plain and simple that he inhibited peaceful transfer of power and incited a riot - just like many 18th and 19th century US Presidents are ridiculed for certain actions now with no one alive or interested in defending them. It won't even take that long, they will write about it the minute he leaves power and in his obituaries when he dies, they are just scared as he has the power to win judgements right now which will be unacceptable to British licence fee payers and UK Government. It is UK Government forcing BBC to grovel right now to prevent such an unacceptable outcome not because they are necessarily in the wrong. It is actually an existential crisis that can make UK public revolt on paying taxes and TV licence fees if Trump wins judgement which nobody will risk since the courts are in his jurisdiction where he controls power, so better for them to climb down. |
Sportsweb:Dey play. General Sarham that was transferred into the State on the orders of Amaechi to do his bidding against Wike. Another Politicians lackey. One phone call from Amaechi and Sarham would have also been redeployed to Borno same way. Soldier only strength lies in working for the ruling party, they are subject to the whims of politicians. No be 2 weeks ago Tinubu retired hundreds and redeployed other hundreds of top officers and nobody cough. See a whole Leuitenant adding Sir to the end of every sentence when talking to Wike. In time past soldiers from his rank to Major to Colonel have led and been key players in coups, now he is spraying Sir Sir Sir everywhere for a bloody civilian. Military has been really humbled by politicians in Nigeria. |
BlueRayDick:For Wike to get mind to steal land from top.military officers shows the difference in levels between them |
izzou:Dey play. Even during military rule when soldiers were controlling the streets, I have seen a big man come out of his car at checkpoint and rake for the soldiers and none of them moved a muscle, they even started walking away as he asked them to identify themselves. This is 1998. Una dey overrate military men most of whom will do boy boy for Politicians for crumbs. I am not talking Danjuma them, I am talking Major Generals and Leuitenant Generals. This officer is lucky cameras were rolling, if it happened indoors, he would have collected hot slap from Wike. Most of those guys are lackeys for politicians and many of them don't get paid like that except they land one juicy posting like in Niger Delta or controlling budgets. That my in-law I spoke about is a Major General, I recently had to put some few £ks in his daughters account as proof of funds for UK Government so she can get UK Visa. They were even late returning the money which made me speak to them quite sternly. Many of these guys won't have leg to stand on in front of LGA Chairman who has means and even their superiors at his beck and call.
|
BlueRayDick:lol. This same Wike controlled the largest LGA in Rivers State and determines the Governorship with his votes. One call from Odili who provides OBJ with his Ghana must go bags and any soldier will be transferred out |
izzou:See the LGA Chairman dem oppress. Pesin wey dey drive Peugeot 406. Truly all LGA Chairman are not equal. In Rivers State wey soldiers dey bunker for LGA Chairman, Chairman go park up with convoy shout for soldier and nothing will happen. See the way Wike called that officer a fool immediately. You think he has not been doing that since he was LGA Chairman? |
BlueRayDick:Borno state Come try that in Rivers where LGA Chairman are billionaire ex-militants or their plants |
izzou:I don't know which kain LGAs you have in your state In my state, Generals will go and do boy boy for almost every LGA Chairman. Wike was a mafioso and mega rich and powerful right from Obio Akpor LGA. Generals wey dey Ateke house dey beg for school fees for their children abroad. |
izzou:In Nigeria My in-law is a retired General. I fit shout for am sef talkless of LGA Chairman Not all Generals are 5 star |
Nezzjnr:There is no such thing as a retired General when it comes to influence Una dey underrate the power politicians have over military in present day Nigeria Even an LGA Chairman can slap a General and nothing will happen |
BlueRayDick:Wike that can get a Navy Vice Admiral installed as Rivers State Governor and be doing his boy boy work can't deal with a Navy Officer? In Nigeria? The only hope that guy has is that Wike sees it as not worth pursuing him |
BlueRayDick:Hahaha. Community go show them how far now Luckily for them the infrastructure to supply the electricity is still there so they can revive it, all they need to do is supply the gas |
O BlueRayDick:When OANDO were putting their bid together, whoever advised cost savings by discontinuing the electricity provision should be fired. They will lose more EBITDA to maintenance and shutdowns of production than they gain from the electricity savings. |
Ellexy:A small donation to charity and influencing BBC editorial policy is his end goal |
PDPGuy:It's your choice to pay at once or monthly installments |
Bimmarlykay:They are not trying recently with news but they are a lot more than news. They have million radio channels, local TV stations, and as far as education, learning materials for kids writing exams, Sports, history etc, they do a lot. Those guys have even revived 2 extinct languages - Welsh and Gaelic using BBC to where millions are speaking those languages now when hardly anyone could speak them before. I even passed all my GCSEs just by recording and watching their GCSE videos without opening any book. The only book I opened was Maths, Physics and Chemistry. BBC videos did the rest including Biology and all the MASSCOM courses. |
To be fair Trump explicitly encouraged the 2021 riots all over his Twitter, anyone who followed him would bare witness. The BBC guys just spoonfed the public with the spirit of what he did by joining the letters of what he said. |
Ellexy:One call from King Charles and he will drop the idea We don't pay TV Licence fee of £175 a year to go into Trump pocket The whole country will immediately stop paying licence fee if that happens Although I don't pay licence fee as a principle. I can't think of anything as unnecessary as TV socialism when schools and hospitals are underfunded. It is left to my wife to fulfil all righteousness and give to Caesar what is Caesers to keep me out of magistrates court. |
Kilishihunter:I actually like Nico. You know me, I like DMs to have some speed for recoveries when shut breaks down |
Android17:They should have tried playing him themselves instead of Gundogan and co. You have the unmatched ability to turn the mundane into a grand master plan. Someone isn't getting minutes for his club at 23 years old, you are hiding him from National team that have many capable players in his position. If you even stopped hiding him from Spain, na 10, 10 minutes he go dey play with the likes of Zubimendi around. He is a prospective Girona probability that came good. City and Chelsea park many £10m players with prospects in Girona and Strasbourg on the percentage chance one in 10 or 20 will come good for the senior club. It is not a grand conspiracy or master plan. If there was such solid belief in him, he would have been bought when Barca were literally giving him away for free, same as Julio Alvarez, Echeveri and others who were bussed straight in without going through roundabout feeder clubs, much less paying £50m for something Barca was begging you to come and take for free and now claiming you "stole". The guy is nearly 24 years old, which one be hiding him from NT while he was not getting minutes at club level. He simply didn't make NT because he wasn't performing to NT standard at club level, there is no grand conspiracy, he was given shirt at City then dropped for shaky performances, and now he is doing well in the last month. They should drop him again just to "hide" him from NT, problem solved. |
andrewbaba44:They were also hiding him from Spain so Spain won't overuse him in Rodris absence, that's why they weren't playing him though they needed him themselves. Someone without a single cap for Spain being protected from being overused by Spain. As if Zubimendi, Casado, Barrios and co went to Spain NT to count sheep. ![]()
|
Barca were literally dashing away Nico for free but somehow City didn't see to bid €8m then. They later stole him from Barca by paying £50m to Porto Agenda na your mate ![]() |
Griffon:Is it in the last 4 months he became sluggish? That was how he blamed groin injury at end of Pochettino season, we gave him grace thinking he would become more robust the next season only to become heavier and slower |
raumdeuter:As I say everything in Nigeria is trying to kill you Even the smooth federal road they put up as evidence of good governance that took me from Ogoni to Akwa-Ibom had dividers that were jagged. If you drive in a straight line and lose focus for 1 second, you will hit a divider jutting out of nowhere. |
BlueRayDick:Anyone who saw that injury knows his throat wasn't slit. My initial reaction was that it looks like someone with long nails scratched him on his neck |
iamoyindamola:Timbros the paper tiger took 8 points hit just to play bench boost that flopped. In a season with so many chips, there is no reason to take points hit except you are a paper tiger |
The ninja I am.chasing that's topping the log is top 2k in the world. He looks stubborn also and knows what he is doing. Will be a very difficult chase |
