Capaldi: I have never seen a player do so little yet get so much praise and individual accolades like iniesta. How he won Euros 2012 player of the tournament and other accolades will always be a mystery. You've started making a lot of sense recently Xavi is the be-all and end-all of that midfield trio. The others are just lucky to share midfield with him. |

When I see articles like this, I wonder the common variable, people often accuse people that speed of causing accidents, I drive with speed alot and I have only had 1 major incident and it wasn't even my fault, but everyone that knows me assumes that it was mine despite my explanations simply because I drive with speed
I usually wonder the appropriate speed or method, cause it's not news that traffic lights and speed guidelines aka speed limits are bullshit
Did some research found a few suggestions but none worked, some even aided fuel conservation, but none worked for me
I think its a personal thing, depending on how much information your mind can process, F1 drivers aren't aliens, they just have better situational awareness, and can easily make micro sec decisions better than the next person, if you can graft out plots and paths on the road, factoring all the variables, you can drive fast as you can handle and you will rearly have issues, if not, be the old man on the road and save yourself the heartache
Also some men enjoy, and I shamefully do, engaging in races with other drivers on the highway, particularly when it comes to overtaking, if you know that you don't have the ability, allow the person go, trying to prove yourself to someone you don't know for absolutely no reason but testosterone trips is not worth your life
There is no shame in driving slow, it's better than killing a human being, so many accidents suffer from the same flaw, poor reasoning. Speed kills but slow driving also causes a lot of non-fatal accidents. The amount of times I've nearly bumped into the back of someone because they are driving too slow and I took my eye off the road. Worst is those guys that brake at Yellow traffic lights while I'm trying to accelerate through it, nearly bashing them in the back. Slow drivers should be banned from the roads too. |

BasedUsername: Netflix lost subscribers because they couldn't keep re-runs of fan-favourite content on their platform, and couldn't produce high quality, long-running original content. Their series either start off as duds or immediately drop in quality after a season or two because they are more interested in pushing an agenda than entertaining you.
Netflix is only really good for foreign language shows. I agree that their follow on shows have been poor quality. That's due to time pressure, rushing out the next hit and spreading funds too thin As for movies being woke, filmmaking has never been a conservative sport. Nobody pays to watch an accountant pay taxes all his life, never cheat on his wife and die at 80 years old. They pay to see something different whether that's action, or whether it's a human struggle. |

Exonerate1: Actively wanting the team you support to lose makes you a "true fan" these days. Shut up. Which team were Everton playing when you made the below comment last week. More like actively wanting your club legend to relegate and disguising under you don't want Chelsea to lose. basilico: OK. I was among those who cut off Netflix in December .All the series muh kids were watching had a lot of LBGTQ themes. My decision to terminate 12$ month family account had alot do with the woke content and not Russia sanctions. I only use Netflix when NARCOS release new season. It's my sister and her family using my account mostly. I've also just seen that their Direct Debit went from £12 to £14 last year so they will be having price elasticity of demand issues too. Also their content is not exhaustive, you can go through films or series that interest you in one year. But most important to what's happening to their price is how a speculative bubble corrects. Netflix only have to lose 10% of their income for the stockmarket to flatten their price by 50% or more. Same will happen to any tech company that falls behind expectations in this current environment where speculative money is being unwound. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: 2026 Midterm Elections Live! by Ibime(m): 9:14am On May 02, 2022 |
basilico: You are correct that I don't dispute.Im not an expert on stock markets .
But go woke go broke is also an accelerant to some of the stock losses like Netflix, Disney and a whole lot of others.
This conservative website has list of companies that are woke very similar to budaatum list of companies whose stocks have tanked
https://thebluestateconservative.com/2021/01/20/12-woke-companies-to-avoid/
Well I assume you are wired not to see any co+relationship maybe you will blame China.
Similar to Biden stopping a pipeline and limited federal exploration of oil. When oil prices go up he blames Putin. Netflix tanked because of massive fall in subscribers post pandemic as people came out of lockdown and some moved to Disney+. Also lost 700,000 subscribers in Russia with the sanctions. Netflix has had woke content for years and their subscriber base increased exponentially. Netflix actually has all content. They simply have seen Disney eat into market share and their pandemic bonanza is over. |

basilico: Have you realised most these companies are woke or are actively promoting wokeneaa. When you read everything through the prism of politics and no single financial sense is in your head. Instead of following and understanding markets, you follow politics. So for the last year I have been saying the stockmarket is severely overvalued due to excess liquidity and heading for a deep correction upon interest rate tightening, you were busy burying your head in conspiracy. Has there been anytime the indexes went above a PE Ratio of 30 and not had a massive crash? I even stated that I've switched my pension to a fixed cash pension rather than let it ride the stockmarket Ibime: I don't have a single cent in stockmarket at the moment. I even changed my pension into a cash pension about two months ago as I don't want it riding the stockmarket. This is how markets work. When interest rates are low or zero, the most speculative instruments (Tech stock, Crypto) enter a valuation bubble. That's because cash is cheap, borrowing is cheap and there is no incentive to save, so funds put their money in stocks, mostly tech stocks. You have too much money chasing too little value creating valuations out of kilter with company performance. Add the fact that the Fed has been buying up balance sheets, there is too much money in the system and nowhere to put it except stocks, and even crypto. When the economy starts to stabilise, the Fed starts to increase interest rates and funds pull their money out of speculative stocks and invest in retail banking shares (retail banks are now making more money due to higher lending rates), commodities (gold, silver, oil etc) and Treasury bonds which offer more safety than stocks. The stockmarket then starts to collapse starting with the most speculative assets first. Fed dropped interest rate to zero due to the pandemic wiping 15% off US GDP. What you are seeing now is the inevitable unwinding of the gains that started in April 2020 when Fed dropped interest rate to zero. But the best you can use to explain the end of a Business Cycle is "Go woke, go broke". Kindly help me with Peter Thiels company Palantir, I want to check something.

Maybe Lampard should have taken out one page advert in newspaper to congratulate like people announcing wedding or funeral before he will gree. |

swiz123: What good turn if I may ask? He has was honoured as a player. They sang his praise as a player but when he left Chelsea, what was the first thing he did? He came back to the EPL to play for a rival team and even scored a goal against us which I am sure you celebrated.
Out of foolish sentiments, we appointed him as a coach and when his naivety nearly ruined us, we had to send him packing. What did he do, he never congratulated us for winning the UCL and he threw Roman under the bus when they asked him about his relationship with the man who made him a star!.
You can follow him to Everton if you wish and stop deceiving yourself that you are supporting Chelsea because Lampard does not care!. Stop making noise and honour your top goalscorer and top assister of all time. Leprous finger like you that has been celebrating Everton's possible relegation now trying to disguise under the cover of them playing Chelsea. Even when they played Newcastle, you supported Newcastle, you fake fan. Chelsea let Lampard go and he signed for New York City. New York wasn't playing for 6 months and their parent club City requested him. You as a City fan should be happy. Las las, there is no way legends like Lampard, Terry, Drogba, Zola will need points and a true Chelsea fan won't want them to have it if Chelsea does not need it.
