Kay005: DAR has done almost 70 percent today and still pumping (when gaming tokens pump, they pump madly). Near has been lagging behind, I pray it moves too. I've TP on 75% of my position, I'll leave the other 25% for a target of $1.95 possibly. Not sure why NEAR is fumbling, I am expecting similar price action to LUNA cos NEAR put in the same stablecoin reward mechanism as LUNA |

Bombblacks: I don't think the current FIFA best award holds more prestige or power than the Balon dor. Everyone talks about the Balon dor unlike the Wpoty. If I remember correctly It was FIFA who paid France football to merge with their Balon dor to gain relevance. FIFA messed up cos Balon d'Or was not relevant until FIFA made it the main award, supplanting its own WPOTY Nobody ever looked at Michael Owen, Shevchenko and Nedved and called them WPOTY before FIFA gave Balon d'Or the platform. I still don't understand it |

Bombblacks: I think balon dor is now from August to July according to their recent changes unless you mean FIFA best award. I don't recognise Balon d'Or. I'm from an era where Balon d'Or was European POTY. FIFA just gave Balon d'Or legitimacy for a few years, now we're back to FIFA |

benalvino3: Basilico is calling you guys out who blames trump for deaths because of how he handled the pandemic while in reality, other countries you guys don't talk about had similar death rates. Basilico is being foolish. How about setting example as a leader like not getting out of the hospital and getting in a car to wave at crowds while Covid positive, like not holding rallies at the height of a pandemic, like not threatening to withhold ventilators from States because they are politically different, like turning your scientists into a political football to be hated by half your population, like not suggesting foolish things like bleach or light into humans, like not spilling your mouth to send uninformed people to buy drugs still in clinical trial, like showing simple compassion. I didn't see any of these in Sweden who banned large gatherings, practiced social distancing, had a mask mandate and schooled secondary school and above from home. Sweden even have vaccine passports. They didn't lockdown fully but they took responsible steps, and their rates are still worse than their Nordic neighbours. Also only Stockholm has a population density comparative to other Western countries. That's only 10% of their population living in conditions that encourage transmission, and even at that Stockholm is made of 7 islands with a lot of fresh air. Djurgarden is the only place where you go to a City and feel you are in the countryside. |

If Covid arrived in US in March 2020 starting from an exponential base of one infected person, and Trump left in Jan 2021, how many supposed to have died in comparison to a 14 month period starting from an exponential base of millions? |

hammermcc: Only in third world African countries do people bury the dead in their compound.even south Africa does not practice such . burying of the dead in their compound is bad for real estate. I have mentioned on my other thread that Nigerian needs real estate land reform. we can not afford the current method if Nigeria will be developed.
In fact , most Nigerians do not pay property tax . and yet you expect roads and street lights and public amenities to be fixed? there needs to be compulsory property tax which will deter people from thinking the land belongs to them forever and therefore burying dead on the land. people should pay heavy property tax if they want to own a home. if you can't afford property tax then rent an apartment. Burying dead on your land is not illegal in USA, UK and many Western countries. There is no need to legislate against it. If someone buried on their land and need to sell it, that's their personal problem, not society problem. There are people who have land where they bury their dead and will never sell. They shouldn't be penalised for poor man problem, not to mention there are those wishing to be buried next to loved ones, whom this law will disenfranchise. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Russia Has Weapons No Other Nation Has. Will Swiftly Use Them If Needed - Putin by Ibime(m): 8:53pm On Apr 27, 2022 |
LocalStandard1: These people commenting don't know the Russian people. Hollywood and CNN will not tell you but I will tell you, it was the Russian involvement in the 1st and 2nd world war that ended the wars. Russia practically entered Berlin and took over the capital before Hitler surrendered.
NATO and the EU is made up of over thirty countries but I tell you this if they start an outright war with Russia, let drop nukes aside, Russia will decimate them from Poland to far away USA. Only Russia has the missiles to hit anywhere in the world, only Russia. Those people are dogged. Ask youself why the entire WEST is rallying all countries to its side even though they outnumber her by more than a billion people, tens of countries and economy more than 60 percent of the world's?
Putin is "barking" because he doesn't want war, but he does not and will not back away from one if it comes to him. Forget Hollywood. Forget American "yearly budget on military expenditure". Know your March, the west atleast knows theirs in Russia. Thank you. Calm down. Russia that collect wotowoto from Germany during 1st World War that they negotiated an armistice and switch sides during the War. Russia gets flogged from pillar to post. Even this second world war you are talking is because the Allies opened second front to distract Germany, and the cold finally overcame Germany after flogging Russia wotowoto all the way to Leningrad and St Petersburg. Even Japan done flog Russia before. As in Russia surrendered. Russia the only European nation to lose a war to an Asian one. Even Finland done shoe dem pepper sef. Let's not go as far back as when Swedish empire and Lithuanian empire used to flog them. |

zendi: Those who will emerge from the nuclear shelter still alive should point their fire-charred fingers at Western Rossophobia; at NATO's lunanatic drive to nuclearize Russia's immediate existential neighbourhood thereby backing her against the wall or driving her to wrath. Rubbish in the day of ballistic missiles which can be launched from anywhere, or any choice of neighbouring state. Any country that wants to join EU and chop money immediately applies to join NATO simultaneously because Mother Russia starts to threaten as soon as you want to advance economically. Interesting to note that only Belarus of 14 former Soviet countries voted with Russia at the UN. They are tired of big bully that doesn't want them to prosper. |

There is state fund and federal fund which is tiny...

benalvino3: Russia can pull out, reinvade in a year or a decade... The west with this kind of attitude what will stop them? No one except Ukraine. So they should give Ukraine what it actually needs. How will Putin sell pulling out to his people? In a decade Putin will be gone. This is actually a chance to let Putin embarrass himself and potentially change the future outlook of the next Russian president. Ukraine winning outright is unrealistic. Bogging Russia down is more realistic |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: 2026 Midterm Elections Live! by Ibime(m): 3:01pm On Apr 26, 2022 |
benalvino3: So far all the problems you speak about does not seem to be that much of a problem.
More Russians support the invasion of Ukraine. And Russia can keep Ukraine flattened for a year or more. Russia won't worry about the black sea that much. They have all the time in the world to rebuild and challenge the west, because they still fear a weakened Russia who shouts nukes up and down.
So be it strong Russia or weak Russia, it does not make any difference except the real threat is taken out. Which is Putin and his regime. Russia keeping Ukraine flattened for a year is not to their benefit. Any day that passes is a day away from their mission. Their mission was to go there and just maja so that they have a place at the table in determining the future direction of Ukraine. Few days into the war, when they saw that wasn't possible, regime change became their next target. Even that is not now possible. Meanwhile every passing day increases their isolation from the International community and trade which will be calamitous to them long term. They were not expecting a war. Who wants to go and get entrenched in another country without an end goal in sight? They are not big enough to carry a vassal state. They need a way out and the West should give them one after they have lost their international standing and messed up their future. |

basilico: White house concerned about one big media company control. Democrats have had pervasive control of the media, which the left used it to silence their critics. A significant cog from that wheel has been forcibly grabbed No centrism has had control of that wheel which is the way it should be for a country to be cohesive. Social media had allowed the most aggressive elements from the extreme right and extreme left to control the narrative. That's why Russia sponsors and supports extreme left and extreme right to tear the West apart. When you are on the extreme, you consider centrism as being to the other extreme. |
