cooooooks: Salvageable??
Financial compatibility is very important.
Now, if OP's wife spends her own money alone, the blow is softened but still a blow. Financial compatibility is important, true. 7 years is a very long time to have invested into a relationship, based on this and the fact that they're both relatively young, I think it's worth trying to salvage. For example, OP can test things out by not being as much of an enabler, if there are still no improvements, he can move on |

How are the domestic, childcare and financial responsibilities distributed in your household? I don't know enough information about your situation to tell you to go and do it yourself or to come to the conclusion that your husband is genuinely lazy |

1. Spending all night in front of the TV and snoring like a wild boar 2. Weight gain 3. Bad breath
Well she's told you what the issue is, she finds you unattractive, simply put. Men justify cheating on their wives for much less, and you're here exhibiting all these three at the same time, pick a struggle
Would you want to be intimate with your wife if the roles were reversed? Luckily all of these things are fixable
BTW, you said she's known you to have done this for 6 years, how long have you been married for? Did she know all this before marriage? |

doitforyou: His concerns are valid and it’s actually admirable that he’s thinking about finances before he gets married.
Yea, he has to share some blame for his bankruptcy, even if it’s a JA, once he noticed her erratic spending habit, he should’ve shut it down quick. Yeah his concerns are definitely valid, I just don’t understand how she’s getting ahold of his money to the point of bankruptcy, as much as it’s frustrating him perhaps he’s also being a bit of an enabler |

doitforyou: She’s not unique there are many people that are bad with money, men and women and they’re married. Some marriages are hell because of it, while some thrive. It’s easy you don’t give the person access to money. If it’s a dealbreaker for you, then it is what it is.
I’m curious how she still had access to your money enough to bankrupt you. Aren’t yourself financially irresponsible by going bankrupt. Where’s your personal accountability? I was wondering the same thing too, unless they have a joint account? (I doubt). |

It sounds like a salvageable flaw. Also, assuming you're of similar age, she's young and in that zone where it's 'socially acceptable'/she can somewhat be excused for making questionable financial decisions, so I wouldn't write her off as a complete lost cause just yet, teach her, help her.
7 years is a long time to throw a relationship away, you know her best however, so if you think there's absolutely no fixing the situation I guess you may have to just cut your losses |
