obailala: Put your sense to work bro... Adams may be a politician but he's not an iddiot to make a claim of which after the backlash, he still returned to insist on his earlier words. Someone somewhere must have done something fishy and covered up the crime under the guise of '2nd Niger bridge.' If Adams was a total iddiot in the manner he's being painted today, he wouldn't have risen to the level he has attained in his life.
Anyway, as a likely wailer, why should I even expect any of you to use your brains? idiotic nature can be attained anytime in life, its a pity oshomole attained and achieved his when he suppose to be celebrated. |

obailala: In as much as Oshiomole seems to be talking too much these days, I do not totally agree he's a madman. His statements must have been prompted by something his committee discovered in the course of their investigations.
Oh yes, $700million has not been spent on the 2nd Niger bridge, but I'm sure a dubious withdrawal of that amount must have been made under the guise of 'building 2nd Niger bridge' or maybe, someone might have added an extra ZERO (0) to 14billion . Even after the denials by the ex-works minister, Oshiomole still insisted that something was wrong.
Anyway, I don't think Oshiomole is completely stupidd in his assertions. that means u were part of the committee that withdrew the 700million dollars or u r either an errand boy to the thieves that stole d money. |

lurther: And Reno Omokri concluded this article in a very fantastic way. In his words:
'That is a beginning, now we must ensure that merit is also applied to admission into government schools and recruitments into the public service.'
Please, let there be this same merit in the educational system and also public service.
Buhari! Reno Omokri is saying that, you can appoint whom ever you want politically because it is within your prerogative as the constitution demands for you to appoint those competent in your eyes. But, he also stated at the end that, this merit should be applied in all spheres of our life in Nigeria like in the educational sector, health sector, public sector, technologically-wise.
So! Let the competition of merit begin in the country. We shall see who will bulge, now that federal character has been thrown to the Bin. trust me thr is nothng like merit in buhari's appointment. An appointment whr most of the appointees were selected based on unmerited favour thru the skewed federal character can never be termed merit. Why has buhari not condemned the rubbish cut-off marks released for entry into unity schools? At d end these same people who had 4percent will still graduate with 3credits n f9s n will be granted admission into universities because of these rubbish quota n they will still fill our ministries too n someone will sit at a corner n say they merit it, with 4percent from the start when i scored 270 n above when i first sat for federal school exams in the yr 1994? This is rubbish. |

seunmsg: Formulating anti corruption policies alone is not enough to fight corruption. In fact, Nigeria have more than enough policies in all sectors of our country and still, we are where we are. When you formulate a good policy, you equally need good people to implement them and that's where leadership comes into play. Without strong leadership, you can't implement any anti corruption policy successfully in Nigeria. And that strong leadership is what PMB brings to the table. If we as citizens can support him by rising above the usual ethnic and religious attachments we have for leaders from our areas who mostly don't even care about us, am very sure the country will start getting things right. what do u mean by support him? Bros he has 4yr mandate, so he shud start work. |
Politics › Re: Rumble In The Jungle As Corruption Fights Back- The Vanguard by IbokUtoroh(m): 8:47am On Sep 03, 2015 |
seunmsg: Ending corruption in a country like Nigeria is not as simple as ABC. It requires strong leadership, commitment of the ruling class and serious support from the citizenry.
The president has shown strong leadership and determination so far in the fight against corruption. He needs the support of the citizens to reject the ethnic and religious cards being played by the corrupt class. Once the corrupt class can no longer get the support of their ethnic and religious group, we can then have a more sustained anti corruption war. it requires policies..... As simple as abc. Why do bankers dont steal? Even when they r exposed to so much monies. Why not replicate that same reforms in corporate banking world to public n civil service? You see its very simple, unless u dont want to do it. |

Custom association of the world or association of custom of the world or whatever body should just keep shut and let us run our affair. I heard someone was caught with €4.6m cash, where was custom, contraband every where, waivers to Jonathan associates where was custom. Ali will resume and custom will be sane again. what if d 4.6million euros na buhari's money or maybe his wife? Gej is long gone, he aint controlling any sector. Any shit that happens since may29 is solely buhari's responsibility. How come nobody is briefed concerning what is being aired in all tv stations in neighbouring niger? seunmsg: In the case of Nigeria, it will take a strong willed president to build that strong institutions Obama talked about. We have too many fault lines as a country so any president that make attempt to do things right will easily get drowned by those who benefit from the current system by quickly activating the fault lines.
That's why it is pertinent for most patriotic Nigerians to support the PMB's administration. He has shown so far that he has the strong will to fight corruption and take on those bigots who are benefiting from the current system. With the presidents strong will and support of Nigerians, we can start building the strong institutions that are necessary to make our country work. buhari has 4yrs to work, we dont need to support him abi will he pay for our supports? He contested elections since 2003, r u saying he didnt hv any roadmap n plans how he will run d govt? Governance is as simple as abc unless u r surrounded by crooks n thieves. Ending corruption is simple either in public or civil service. |

oismail: Fighting corruption is one of the hardest things to do especially when you are new into the system. People are just 'antagonising' PMB administration for nothing without taking certain things into consideration 1. He's new into the system and due to the reluctant of the last administration to deliver handover note to the administration is also key to the slow start 2. And to fight corruption you need strong fact and evidence so as not to waste public fund on unrealistic cases. I think that's one of the major reasons why we ain't hearing much this time 3. Our major source of income generation has dropped over 400% so he has to make use of the little we are generating. It's hard time for the FG at this time, so let's be patient. 4. Before now, the federal character has being followed but it has failed us tremendously because the person who is appointing don't even know his appointees too well. If you become Ng president today and you want to honestly appoint some key appointments and you want honest people and (for instance) you being residing in SW since birth, you are most likely going to appoint more people in the SW cux u don't people in other zones except they are recommending them to you. Thank God they are expecting much from the President now. We were not expecting anything from the Ex President, that's POSITIVE what should i term u? U mean a president in nigeria dont knw people from other regions, n u think u making sense? What s d concept of building alliances, why seek those regions vote when u knw you dont knw any credible people from that region? Before election apc when d head is okay d rest of the body will be okay no matter how bad d body is, why change concept now? We still hv police men extorting money from motorist everywhr, most times i querry d drivers for giving them n they will laugh at me. The head is now okay but nothing has change with d body, u guys thought once buhari enters everything will fall back in place, but reverse is d case. 33 out of 36 ministerial nominees fails screening, but buhari na strongman na, the present kingkong of africa, he will tame any corrupt politician,,,, y him no employ them n tame them? |
