former Speaker, Aniekan Uko, whose election
was nullified by the Court of Appeal on Tuesday,
reports Vanguard.
The new Speaker, Onofiok Luke was
unanimously elected by members during plenary
a Monday.
Luke represents Nsit Ubium constituency in the
House.

Luke was nominated by Nse Essien, member
representing Onna and seconded by Mark Esset,
member representing Nsit Atai.
In his acceptance speech, the new Speaker
promised to work with the executive to bring
development to the state and ensure that the
dividends of democracy reached the grassroots.

pdp r so smart in electing luke d speaker. luke though of pdp is from the same local govt of the apc guber candidate umana umana, at a point they thought he(luke) was supporting umana cos of the brotherly status.
what this mean is that only one person will stand between umana the apc candidate n onofiok luke the new speaker.
if umana wins luke must step down or be impeach cos speaker n govr cant come from the same place, n onofiok is highly ambitious. I dont see him trading that seat for anything less.

I see Baba pursuing these criminals with all his might and wisdom given that we might not be earning as much as 50% of our revenue to finance 2015 budget from oil sales- the price may drop below 20dpb given the latest US policy.

I really feel for the president, coming in at a very difficult time like this. Had previous governments done what they were supposed to do when we had so much perhaps there would have been sufficient cushion one would have hardly felt the impact of the crashing oil price.

They made so much noise, held conferences, proposed policies for diversification of the economy, all of which ended on paper since oil prices kept rising.

They were so lazy, sloppy and addicted to petrodollars and squandered the windfall with reckless abandon- now we are here. Same criminals and their gang of brainwashed supporters want us to rebuild what they took 16 years to destroy in just 7months!

Baba, make sure every single penny in their possession is recovered using whatever means necessary. We cannot afford to fail on this budget and Nigerians would not accept excuses!
