An adult student must pay the Zakatul fitri if only he/she can afford to pay, if the student cant afford to pay then he/she is exempted. May Allah accept our fasting.

Like my brother who is not around & he's still a student...... can zakatul fitir be paid twice, i.e if my dad paid on his behalf & he also paid it himself since he won't be around?
Nairaland GeneralPope Francis: Who Am I To Judge Gay People? by ibrash600(op): 8:03pm On Jul 29, 2013
Pope Francis has said gay people should not be marginalised but integrated into society.

Speaking to reporters on a flight back from Brazil, he reaffirmed the Roman Catholic Church's position that homosexual acts were sinful, but homosexual orientation was not. He was responding to questions about whether there was a "gay lobby" in the Vatican. "If a person is gay and seeks God and has good will, who am I to judge them?" He also said he wanted a greater role for women in
the Church, but insisted they could not be priests. The Pope arrived back in Rome on Monday after a week-long tour of Brazil - his first trip abroad as pontiff - which climaxed with a huge gathering on Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana beach for a world Catholic youth festival. Festival organisers estimated it attracted more than three million people. His remarks on gay people are being seen as much less judgemental than his predecessor's position on the issue. Pope Benedict XVI signed a document in 2005 that said men with deep-rooted homosexual tendencies should not be priests. But Pope Francis said gay clergymen should be forgiven and their sins forgotten. "The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains this very well," Pope Francis said in a wide-ranging 80- minute long interview with Vatican journalists. "It says they should not be marginalised because of this but that they must be integrated into society." But he condemned what he described as lobbying by gay people. "The problem is not having this orientation," he said. "We must be brothers. The problem is lobbying by this orientation, or lobbies of greedy people, political lobbies, Masonic lobbies, so many lobbies. This is the worse problem." On the role of women in the Church, he said: "We cannot limit the role of women in the Church to altar girls or the president of a charity, there must be more. "But with regards to the ordination of women, the Church has spoken and says no... That door is closed." Answering questions about the troubled Vatican bank, he said the institution must become "honest and transparent" and that he would listen to advice on whether it could be reformed or should be shut down altogether. "I don't know what will become of the bank. Some say it is better that is a bank, others that it should be a charitable fund and others say close it," he said.

'Undisciplined'

Before leaving Brazil, Pope Francis gave a highly unusual one-to-one interview to a Brazilian TV programme. The interview was shown on TV Globo's high- profile Sunday night documentary programme Fantastico, broadcast not long after the Pope departed for Rome. The Pope was asked about the moment on his visit when his driver took a wrong turn and his vehicle was surrounded by crowds. "I don't feel afraid," he answered. "I know that no- one dies before their time. "I don't want to see these people who have such a great heart from behind a glass box. The two security teams [from the Vatican and Brazil] worked very well. But I know that I am undisciplined in that respect." Asked about the recent protests by young people on the streets of Brazil, the Pope said: "The young person is essentially a non-conformist, and this is very beautiful. "It is necessary to listen to young people, give them places to express themselves and to be careful that they aren't manipulated." Asked about his simple lifestyle and use of a small car, he said it wasn't a good example when a priest had the latest model of a car or a top brand. "At this moment I believe God is asking us for more simplicity," he added.

Egypt army permits 'peaceful protest'
amid Morsi anger 5 July 2013 Last updated at 10:39 Egypt's army has said it will guarantee the right to peaceful protest, ahead of the traditional day for major rallies. Muslim Brotherhood supporters are expected to rally on Friday after the army deposed President Mohammed Morsi. New interim leader Adly Mahmud Mansour, the top judge of Egypt's constitutional court, has pledged to hold elections based on "the genuine people's will". Muslim Brotherhood spokesman Gehad al-Haddad said it refused to co-operate with the new regime. Mr Morsi, Egypt's first freely elected leader, is in detention, as are senior figures in the Brotherhood, the Islamist group of which he is a member. Arrests warrants have been for some 300 others. Early on Friday, one soldier was reported killed after Islamist militants attacked military and police checkpoints in the Sinai Peninsula with rockets and mortar fire. Security checkpoints at al-Arish airport, near the border with Israel and the Gaza Strip, and a police station in Rafah were targeted, officials said. Sinai has seen a series of militant attacks on security installations and oil pipelines over the past two years and it is unclear whether the latest attacks are linked to the political upheaval. 'Back to dictatorship' The removal of Mr Morsi followed days of mass protests, organised by the Tamarod [Rebel] movement. Protesters accused Mr Morsi and the Brotherhood of pursuing an Islamist agenda against the wishes of the majority and of failing to tackle economic problems. The army said it had to respond after Mr Morsi "failed to meet the demands of the people". The army command has said it will not take "arbitrary measures against any faction or political current" and would guarantee the right to protest, as long as demonstrations did not threaten national security. "Peaceful protest and freedom of expression are rights guaranteed to everyone, which Egyptians have earned as one of the most important gains of their glorious revolution," it said. Mohamed ElBaradei - a leading opposition figure who backed the overthrow of Mr Morsi - said the army's intervention had been "a painful measure" but was on behalf of the people and ultimately averted civil war. "Mr Morsi unfortunately undermined his own legitimacy," he told the BBC. He said the army had no intention of ruling the country and that elections would be held within a year at the most. Mr ElBaradei also said he had urged the military to treat Mr Morsi with "full dignity as a former president" and that he hoped Muslim Brotherhood members would be released from prison soon. Some of those held, including Mr Morsi, are being charged with "insulting the judiciary", and the public prosecutor's office told AFP news agency travel bans had been placed on 35 senior leaders. At his news conference, Mr Haddad declared the Brotherhood's "full refusal and revoking of the military coup" and said it would take part in all "peaceful, people-led protest". He demanded Mr Morsi's immediate release, along with the other detainees. Mohamed Soudan, foreign relations secretary for the Brotherhood-affiliated Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), said the army action was moving Egypt.

"back to the dictatorship regime"
"As soon as they start to arrest the people without any court verdict or prosecution verdict, order, then this is away from democracy," he told the BBC. A coalition of Islamist parties - the National Coalition in Support of Legitimacy - has called for mass demonstrations to denounce the army's actions following Friday prayers. The African Union's Peace and Security council is
meeting in Friday in Addis Ababa to discuss Egypt.

Officials have indicated it could suspend Egypt's membership, in line with its policy on
unconstitutional changed in government.

Arrest warrants
Some 50 people have died since the latest unrest began on Sunday. There are continuing fears of confrontation
between the pro- and anti-Morsi blocs, with reports that Morsi supporters in a town north of Cairo have been set upon and badly beaten.

Billyonaire: What the Bull has done, is not about the money, its about the act. It is a constant reminder to him that his death is inevitable and will come when it will come. It reminds him not to tarry and stress up like me, it reminds him that he should retire and think about the life after death. 200 million looks much, but for anyone determined to succeed, it is very small amount. It cant even buy you life but burial spot.

This is how billionaires reason, the poor has their opinions, but their reasoning almost always makes no sense to the rich.

HealthRe: 26 Tips For Managing Stress by ibrash600: 7:55pm On Jun 17, 2013
Youngsage: Always take time for yourself, at least 30
minutes per day.

Be aware of your own stress meter: Know
when to step back and cool down.

Concentrate on controlling your own
situation, without controlling everybody else. Daily exercise will burn off the stress
chemicals.

Eat lots of fresh fruit, veggies, bread and
water, give your body the best for it to
perform at its best.

Forgive others, don't hold grudges and be
tolerant -- not everyone is as capable as you.

Gain perspective on things, how important is
the issue? Hugs, kisses and laughter: Have fun and don't
be afraid to share your feelings with others.

Identify stressors and plan to deal with them
better next time.

Judge your own performance realistically;
don't set goals out of your own reach.

Keep a positive attitude, your outlook will
influence outcomes and the way others treat
you.

Limit alcohol, drugs and other stimulants, they affect your perception and behaviour.

Manage money well, seek advice and save at least 10 per cent of what you earn.

No is a word you need to learn to use without feeling guilty.
Outdoor activities by yourself, or with friends
and family, can be a great way to relax.

Play your favourite music rather than
watching television. I like watching television esp series movie

Quit smoking: It is stressing your body daily,
not to mention killing you too.

Relationships: Nurture and enjoy them, learn
to listen more and talk less.

Sleep well, with a firm mattress and a supportive pillow; don't overheat yourself
and allow plenty of ventilation.

Treat yourself once a week with a massage, dinner out, the movies: Moderation is the key.

Understand things from the other person's point of view.

Verify information from the source before
exploding. Worry less, it really does not get things completed better or quicker.

Xpress: Make a regular retreat to your
favourite space, make holidays part of your
yearly plan and budget.

Yearly goal setting: Plan what you want to achieve based on your priorities in your
career, relationships, etc.

Zest for life: Each day is a gift, smile and be thankful that you are a part of the bigger
picture.

SportsRe: NPFL GetS N1.89BN Title Sponsorship by ibrash600: 10:43am On May 08, 2013
Mr Aboki: Glo just wasted their money on the Nigerian league.

I would have thought that GLO would have watched the documentary on how the EPL was rebranded, repackaged and upgraded from what it used to be to what it currently is. I wonder if they just throw money at every and anything that moves for nothing. GLO should have given them some solid conditions for sponsorship. Its very sad to see some clubs play matches with no names on their jerseys. The jerseys and other club paraphenelia are not even available to fans for purchase. Before splashing all that cash on the NPL, GLO should have insisted on alot of changes that must be met within a period of their sponsorship. Even the Clubs should start soliciting sponsors. I'll like to see a Dolphins F.C jersey designed by Nike or Puma and avialable for sale, with the club having a good website, good fan/club relationship, e.t.c.

Clubs need to repair their images as well. You watch english clubs and their players all have to behave and act a certain way. They wear suits to match venues, all with the clubs colors on their ties, they are well behaved and composed, e.t.c. I will never forget meeting a Nigerian clubside on a flight back from Ghana. If it were a bus, I would have stopped mid way and taken abother. Even the NPL managers need to find a way of making the league interesting and appealing to Nigerians. I would even say that Ghanas Local football league has somehow advanced way more than ours in terms of followership. Infact, you can spot an Ashanti Kotoko fan from a mile out. On match days, everyone is glued to a radio set to listen to commentaries..

I'm sorry, but I cant really excitedly relate to this news as I feel its just another waste of effort..

Well said bro, I can't even remember the last time i watch Nigerian league, poor camera, poor commentaries, poor officiating by refs, attimes you won't knw d diff btw Manager & supporter, dy dress smehw...smh huh
