social media and lies,no fucking plane crash landed yesterday. it was one of those old and abandoned aircraft parked at the airport. i actually passed by the airport gate close to agege motor road and i saw tow trucks and loads of officials(police,air-force and lastma) trying to tow the place out of the airport gate. 2 Likes |

Am sorry I am just seeing this. It's been long I visited this my thread. You will need to sight and collect at least a photocopy of 1.proof of ownership 2.allocation paper 3.vehicle licence 4.original agreement paper between buyer and seller Also note that in lagos state,numberplate remains the property of the seller as such the new owner needs to do change of ownership and collect his own numberplate. |

perryy:If you have lost the original proof of ownership for your car,you can make a police report and an affidavit to cover you for that. Or Check on your allocation paper for the station the numberplate was issued. You may get another from the station. 2 Likes |

Goodmorning nairalanders, I will like to discuss about TINTED PERMIT. TInted permit is a document issued by the police authority to vehicles that does not have a see-through glass.(Factory TINTED vehicles only). Mostly vehicles like SUV's,SPACE BUSES etc(Toyota sienna,pathfinder jeep etc) usually come with their rear side-glass factory tinted,some have all glasses tinted. As such owners of such categories of vehicles need to apply to the police authority to obtain a Tinted permit. In applying for the permit,there are two way to go about it, 1. You can start the application yourself at www.npf.gov.ng/tinted, fill out the application form and obtain an application ID. Fill out your biodata and the details of the vehicle,then you will take the printout to the state police command for biometrics capturing and collection certificate. **Note** It's free if you can do it yourself. 2. In the advent of not having enough time for the process,the tinted permit can be processed through a thirdparty that knows well about the process.(you will need to provide the photocopy of vehicle licence,proof of ownership certificate and a passport photograph) The owners picture and vehicle information will be boldly displayed on the Tinted certificate that will be issued. The tinted permit does not expire,as such owner should be careful not to lose the certificate. Furthermore to confirm the if a tinted permit is genuine,you can scan the QR/barcode on the permit,it should bring out all your details correctly if its genuine. |

Vehicles number three(3) is the one visibly at fault here. Reason being that according to lane markings on that road,he is on the side of the road that has an unbroken white line (which mean overtaking is not allowed). Such lane marking are specially placed at a road where overtaking is highly dangerous e.g dangerous bend,lane joining a roundabout etc. Note Vehicle number two (2) is also overtaking,but it is ok for him cos the lane marking is a broken white line (which means overtaking is allowed if one's exis/front is clear/ok) |

nxtEinsten:1,the cost is a yearly cost for the local government paper(you renew yearly) 2.according construction,pick ups irrespective of usage(private or commercial needs an hackney permit. 3.same as a bus 4.normally,the right way to register a bus is to have a commercial number-plate (red plate) on it,but if it has been registered with a blue plate number,it is necessary you get a hackney permit on the vehicle. 5.yes sir an hackney permit is needed. 6.so far the panels would not constitute danger or hazard to you or other road users,you can install it but you can get more clarification on installation of solar panel on your car from the minisrty of transportation. |

Who have we offended in nigeria? Why do we always have people that do not have the interest of the populace at heart? In a sane country,it's the duty of government to provide basic amenities like electricity, pipe-borne water,security etc. But here in my country,we are the one that provide every basic amenities that make life a little easier for us like electricity through constant running of generator,security through the employment of OPC night guard, water through the drilling of borehole/well etc. Our government should be ashamed that they cannot provide those aforementioned,rather than making us get a licence for what they should have provided. |

Well to the OP and all nairalanders wanting to know the secrets to not buying a stolen nigerian used vehicle. Secret 1. Ask for all the original papers of the vehicle(proof of ownership,Allocation paper,cmr,custom papers etc),if seller tells you he can't find the papers,my brother beware! Secret 2. On the proof of ownership certificate /allocation paper there is the original phone number of the person the vehicle was registered with. Pick the number and call number to verify if truly he his the owner and if the vehicle is for sale. Secret 3. Take the CMR (central motor registry ) paper to the nearest police CMR office (kam Salem,obalende for lagos registered vehicle) to verify if the information tally with the original information on the vehicle. If not,you can be told if the vehicle has been flagged a stolen. Secret 4. To avoid had I known,it's advisable to buy a Nigerian used vehicle directly from an owner you know very well than buying from a total stranger. 5 Likes |

Methinks from the narratives,those armed robbers/gunmen terrorising the highway are mostly dismissed law enforcement agent,as such they understand military ambush tactics and weapon handling etc.better because they have previously been trained in it. On another note,R.I.P to the slain officers,I pray God grant their families the fortitude to bear the loss but they should understand better that it's not the best practice to drive an unarmoured vehicle siren blaring into a highway robbery scene. Las las insecurity is getting messier in this country, Local man now afraid to travel! |

So sorry for your loss bro,but as a precaution for all nairalanders,we should never use our ATM card details on a public computer(cyber café etc). Most have been rigged with keystroke logging softwares. If at all we like to make online transactions, it must be from a personal computer/mobile phone. |
