Rilwayne001: Cock and bull story undecided

LIARS! Thunder fire them for trying to mislead/divert our attetion, we are not foolish like them undecided

Let then answer the following questions.

The above position of the Federal Government is not only ludicrous, it is laughable, untenable and a story only fit to be told to the marines. The following rhetoric posers are germane to this issue:

Is it really faster and safer to do an international transaction of such magnitude by ferrying cash across the continent or by a simple wire transfer that can go through in a matter of few minutes or few hours?

If, indeed, the matter involves security issues like the purchase of arms by a foreign government like Nigeria, why was the South African Government not brought into the picture beforehand?

How could the South African Government be sure that the arms were purchased legitimately by the Nigerian government and not by insurgents if they were not officially informed beforehand?

If indeed the manufacturer(s) of such equipment was/were expecting such large amount by cash, why did they not make adequate arrangements with the authorities in South Africa to declare and clearvthe cash on arrival?

Why was money belonging to the Federal Government and meant for purchase of equipment for the Federal Government moved by a private jet and by private individuals and why were they not accompanied by the officials of the Department of State Services or the office of the National Security Adviser in official capacities?

Why would a government that is at the peak of promoting the cashless policy in our economy be the chief breaker of that policy by moving such a large amount by cash?

If, indeed, it was a legitimate transaction of the Federal Government, why were the officials of our embassy in South Africa not on hand to make the entry easier and smoother?

Yeah, seeing life thru the eye of a keke napep driver is seeing frustration in its crudest form.

Alex72: @ all, I have just left Alausa and the officer that fellow Nairalander referred me to have reduced the demurrage from 113k to 15k after personally explaining my plight to him. I have 10k with me and off now to computer village to sell my phone to complete the balance.
I thank Nairaland family and all, who have contributed to help me solve this problem and the moderators for helping make it Frontpage, without which I would not have the necessary exposure. Those VIO boys on the road might be devil, but meet the senior officers in the office and you will be seeing a different class of people, very courteous, polite and kind. Trust me, I will come here at Nairaland to wash the car when it gets released.
well done bro, thank GOD for everything.........

Car TalkRe: Getting A Driver's Licence In Nigeria by ibro2much(m): 8:46pm On Mar 14, 2013
Thanks everyone for their comment on Drivers licence thread.
Simply put,to get an original drivers licence these are the procedures to follow
(1)Log onto www.nigeriandriverslicence.org to download the application form
(2)Fill the form and print out the filled form
(3)Proceed to the bank with the bank paymenr code downloaded from the net to pay for the licence fee(N6350)
(4)Take the payment receipt to the nearest BIR/VIO office for verification of payment
(5)Get Approved by a registered driving school(driving school certificate).
The driving school test you and stand for you that you are qualified to drive.
(6)Go to the VIO office for eye test(to ascertain if you need a glasses when driving or not),traffic sign test(to ascertain if really an applicant understand traffic sign and can easily decode them)and defensive driving techniques/test.
NB. An applicant refers to someone that must have passed through a driving school or other driving training techniques and have been passed by them
Understanding english(spoken/written) is NOT a prerequisite for obtaining a drivers licence, what's most important is knowing how to drive and understanding the traffic sign and what it mean(traffic signs are universally accepted, the same sign you see in an english speaking country is what you will see in a french speaking or arabic speaking country)therefore, nairalanders should not confuse someone that does not understand english with someone that doesn't know the traffic signs.

PropertiesRe: Lagos Real Estate/ Omonile Land Scams Exposed! Learn how not to be Conned by ibro2much(m): 12:58am On Mar 02, 2013
Nice piece, really opened my eyes to some things I felt I understood about land transactions but realised that am naïve about them.I recently puchased an half plot of land with an uncompleted four rooms on it,before the transaction, the omo-oniles claimed they are selling it for someone but after paying them money I realised that the land actually belonged to someone else and their next excuse is that they won the land through court and that the person has been told to come and pay but on his refusal to pay again for the land, that's why they are now selling it to another buyer.....D-law In this kind of situation what do you advise me to do,since av been going to the land for over a year now I have not seen anyone come to disturb.thanks
