Nnystc:
Hi,
This Kizyte's thread on growing tomatoes is pretty much self explanatory with many pictures to inspire you too. Just follow it.

For green beans, Its the easiest thing really.
I just put the beans in the ground (or in a big flower pot, as i have a very small backyard space). Ensure you drill some holes at the bottom of the pot to drain out excess water in case plants get waterlogged by rain or watering.

My potting sand consisted of normal planting sand mixed with pig droppings which i got from the farm. Any good manure mixed into the sand will do. Or good planting sand without manure also works.

Once they germinate, put some stakes into the pot (3-4 stakes in a triangle or square formation. I used palm tree stalks). Use twine to connect the stake formation on more than one level to give the beans many anchor points to climb and hang on to as they grow.

As they grow, you just ensure that you guide them to climb around the twine connections you made.

Also ensure that you:
1- water them twice daily;
2- put your plant in a place where they can access sunlight for at least 6 hours.

I find that the advantage of having my plants in a pot is that i can carry them around to good sources of sunlight even though temporarily.

Thats basically it really. The plant pretty much grows itself.

sir, pictures they say speak's louder than words can you please share pictures of your farm it would be more inspiring and informative.

What voltage is the UPS producing? It sounds as if it's too high or maybe it's not a true sinewave.
Can you get hold of a transformer that will change, say 240vAC to 110vAC ?
the bluegate ups is not pure sine wave, my appliances are 220v how would a 110v transformer work with them

I would suggest u get an inverter and seperate mppt controller.

And u can even reduce cost if u have average of 6hrs sunshine (depending on your location) and don't have very serious loads to power apart from freezers.

I have 6pcs 130w using 3*3 connection with a 40A mppt charge controller and battery bank of 4pcs 200AH.

I power 2 freezers (btw 12pm - 4pm)and a frigde (10am - 12pm) use a 1hp pumping machine somtimes in the aftn. Power my tv, home theatre, dstv, lightings, fans in d evening and i hardly drain my battery bank to 50%"DOD in d morning.

I have decided to go offgrid for a while. When using solar, you will undstand power management more!

Cheers
please sir what's the brand of your inverter and how many volt is it tnx

Your goods do not need to take up to 60 days to get to Nigeria...I have freights agents that sends my goods down to me in 1 week....All you need to do is give the supplier the address details of your courier agent there in China, and then they send it to Nigeria...The freight couriers charges differ by number of days you want your goods to arrive Nigeria...there is fast and slow shipping. Fast shipping takes just a day to get here while slow takes 3-7 days. You will need to inform and give full details to these agents before ordering...Keeping in touch is also necessary...I will drop contacts of my freight agents when I reach for my other phone. This information is what most importation expert teach for money...
Pls sir how do i get information on the importation process. Thanks

Yes u can get a 20watts 15inch monitor ,most 15inch monitors come with a power adapter, its from the power adapter that u can calculate the watts, my 15inch came with a power adapter of 60watts, I had to buy another 12v adapter , I needed the lcd wattage to be low, remember, the lower the watts of ur appliance, the longer ur battery can carry ..,
I bought a 12v--- 2.0A power cable for my 15inch .
12v multiply by 2.0A = 24watts.
NOTE: my 32inch lcd is 160watts, so its always on when there is light, but wen nepa carry light, I switch it off completely, I had to get a very small extension box with a switch on it, so as to make sure its turned off completely, because if its still on standby mode, it will still draw little current.
Below is the photo of the power adapter I bought for my 15inch, 15inch lcd monitor with AV input is available at computer village as from 5k, if u are buying one, make sure it has an AV input, where u plug in ur video in and audio in cable, if u no smart those boys go carry ordinary PC monitor give u,
How long will a 160Watts 32inch lcd TV last on my 12v 40ah battery ?
12v multiply by 40ah battery divide by 160watts =3hrs
12v multiply by 40ah battery divided by 24watts = 20hrs
Current too high – If the adapter has the correct voltage, but the current is higher than what the device input requires, then you shouldn’t see any problems. For example, if you have a laptop that calls for a 19V / 5A DC input, but you use a 19V / 8A DC adapter, your laptop will still get the 19V voltage it requires, but it will only draw 5A of current. As far as current goes, the device calls the shots, and the adapter will have to do less work.
Current too low – If the adapter has the correct voltage, but the adapter’s rated current is lower than what the device input, then a few things might happen. The device could power on, and just draw more current from the adapter than it’s designed for. This could cause the adapter to overheat or fail. Or, the device may power on, but the adapter may not be able to keep up, causing the voltage to drop (see voltage too low above). For laptops running on undercurrent adapters, you might see the battery charge, but the laptop is not powering on, or it may run on power, but the battery won’t charge. Bottom-line: it’s not a good idea to use a lower current rating adapter since it could cause excess heat.
