If this damn political parties are always stressed about the credibility of elections, why don't they all collude their f*cking resources to ensure a far safer and more secure system, like electronic voting is put in place. Instead of this ancient box and paper cheat method. But they won't do that! You'll only see them wailing when the cheating didn't work to their favour. ![]() |
Seriously!? What of the peace accords . Dis kind of thing, it's not PDP we have to worry about, bit these mindless people who have allowed their brains to be manipulated by political parties. They'll start causing trouble now...on behalf of people who don't even give two shits about their pitiful existence. Dummies! |
Favouring one child over the other isn't important. The most important thing a parent can ever have is the love of their children. Personally, I believe there's nothing worse than a parent who doesn't understand their own kids. The best parent is one who their kids can trust, rely on and confide in at all times. Most Nigerians don't know what it is to be a parent and think everything is all right in the child's life as long as they can provide for the child's needs and mostly ignore the emotional aspects. Well, I don't blame them, the country and life, in general, is just a huge load on the back. The amount of stress, worrying and thinking we go through at times makes it difficult to find time to bond with our children. I strive to be a father whose kids come to and pour out any and everything at all times; A father who supports his kids and make them feel loved and understood. |
rottennaija:This... Even if we purge these sets of corrupt politicians, the new ones to occupy the vacant positions are just going to be exactly the same. The difficulties of Nigeria can be extremely alleviated just by the creation of some very stringent laws regarding corrupt and fraudulent practices, but the present lawmakers and executive will never let that happen, as it is to their disadvantage. They want things to all remain the same. In fact, most Nigerians with political aspirations don't want the system to change, so that they can have their own 'take'. Even if by some miracle, the proposed brutal laws on corrupt practices and others are created, as long as the same set of people still remain in power, the laws will be non-functional. The corrupt judiciary and executive arm will still find their way around the laws. The future of Nigeria lies with the people. We need to change our docile and passive attitude to give Nigeria a baptism; a baptism of blood! We can't rely on the government anymore, we need to take matters into our own hands and purge these criminals out of our system; with iron and blood! It's not going to be easy, many would die, there would be conflicting view and factions, things could go wrong at any time, but i believe it's the only choice we can afford, for a timely revitalization of our country. APC, PDP... All these political parties are one and the same. They are collectively a single coat with different colors! If Nigeria is to have a radical positive change, these people and their system must die! The like-minded new generation of thieves they're grooming to replace them, must also be cut off. We must undergo a nirvana rebirth; birth from destruction, just like the Phoenix which rises from its own ashes and soars among the high heavens. We too can soar like the Phoenix, but there must be a sacrifice. There is always a price for everything and that price is war! The government has failed us and we must point our blades towards them. Even though they might appear to hold enormous power, there is nothing, and I mean nothing, more stronger than the unified will of the people. It all in our hands, it's all our choice, no one is going it do it for us. I know we are ready, even though it might not look so on the surface, subconsciously we are. We are fed up with how things are. Deep down, no one is happy with what Nigeria has become. There may be smiles on our faces, but those are just to cope with the pain of our bleeding souls. All we are lacking right now, is a pioneer to steer us to that direction; the direction of revolution! No one wants to be that pioneer right now, but sooner or later it's going to occur. I prefer, it be sooner than later. At least, I want to witness a better Nigeria in my short my time on earth, so I can depart peacefully, fully aware I'm leaving a safe ground for my descendants and theirs to come. The aftermath of a revolution is always never a smooth transition. But one thing we must have in place and commit to ourselves, are institutions and laws that extremely prevent all manner and sorts of corrupt and fraudulent practice and promotes responsibility while breeding honesty. |
So many hypocritical and idiotic posts lacking basic intelligence. Nigerians are such bloody animals. To all people condoning such acts, utter shame of you. So because you believe that the lady is in the wrong for dressing that way, that should warrant her to be mobbed and sexually harassed? If truly offended by her manner of dressing, then why not politely walk up to her and advise her on her dressing choices or inform the relevant authorities if her 'indecent' dressing as you see it is causing a public disturbance? This is what sane people in a same society would do. This backwards mentality of Nigeria that arises from our so called 'cultural values' is a critical issue affecting our growth. These same set of barbaric people would likely have resorted to rape, if it wasn't broad daylight but nighttime and a secluded area. Just because of her manner of dressing... and some certain fools would try to righteously justify such repugnant acts. It's also these kind of people that resort to jungle justice instead of handing over alleged criminals to the authorities. The problem of Africa are its people. Nothing else. |
ApexTitan:There's a good difference between immigrants and foreign visitors. Immigrants travel with the aim of permanent settlement or at least, a stay much longer than that permitted by an immigration service. Foreign visitors are students, tourists and working individuals, who all possess the required visas and permits. Those who travel out with the aim of migrating, are typically deemed as 'suffering Nigerians who work brown collar jobs'. That is simply the plain truth. Those who migrate either illegally, or legally through some lottery, protection services, and others are condemned to the lowest stratum of the society they migrate to. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar! Of course, they are always exceptions to every rule but those exceptions are very rare and occupying a minimal percentage of these sets of migrants. Leaving home is not always the best option. As they say, there's no better place than home. Even though individuals may have good reasons for migrating, I don't agree that it's the best choice. Nigeria as a developing nation with immense future prospects is a land filled with opportunity if you know where, and how to look. Those who eventually migrate, are always at the lowest of the low, stuck working brown collar jobs. Even if you have some form of professional qualification, do you really think that employers would choose you and your qualification from a backwater location (as they view it) over their homebred citizens? (Incredibly outstanding qualifications are an exception to this.) Although there are some who manage to find a better place in that society after tremendous effort and/or bountiful luck, it would always remain the truth that they are outcasts. They have no heritage there, no history and ultimately, there would be no belonging. Even though some of the immigrants migrate because of the chaotic atmosphere in Nigeria and its seemingly bleak future; wanting a better environment for their future generations, it's not so easy to be indoctrinated into a foreign society. Your history as an immigrant will forever be a mark that limits you and allows for easy segregation in many areas of that society, especially when it comes to political positions. Now, mentioning those select immigrants who end up successful, a fact often overlooked is that those few successful migrants would have probably been as successful or likely even more successful if they stayed in their native country and put in the same amount of effort that made them successful in that foreign country. They would find it much less difficult in their native country than it was in a foreign country. I also see that the Chinese are being mentioned in this thread, but has any of you ever met a Chinese individual who told you he/she is here because they love the Nigerian country and seek to be a Nigerian citizen? The Chinese are only here to take advantage of the opportunities in Nigeria, the same opportunities these migrating individuals are throwing away, in search of 'greener pastures'. It's actually quite the reverse if you look at it like this: The Chinese leave their highly developed native lands, which have minimal opportunities for grasps and high levels of competition, to a developing third world country like Nigeria, which has abundant opportunities for them to exploit. Yet, the natives of this country overflowing with opportunities, are so eager to leave their country in search of an illusive 'greener pasture' which is in reality, a foreign land filled with minimal opportunities and an intense level of competition among its own indigenous citizens, not to mention foreign immigrants. And lastly, there are those set of toxic migrants who are mostly the bearers of the bad reputation that precedes migration and overseas travel in Nigeria. These individuals are mostly illegal immigrants and their reason for migrating to a foreign land is all money-oriented, with the poor economy of Nigeria playing a big role. Due to bad situation of the Nigerian economy and the ever decreasing value of its currency, these set of individuals all have the ridiculous thought of migrating to a foreign country for the sole sake of that country's currency and its value. They believe that, if they can find a job (no matter what it is or how low it is) in a foreign country and save enough of an amount, they can return to their native land and retire in immense wealth and splendour, after converting the little amount they earned into the increasingly worthless currency of their native land. Their now acquired wealth, in turn, motivates other individuals lamenting the perceived poor state of the country, and their miserable lives and pockets, to migrate to a foreign land where they are despised and treated as the lowest of the low. Losing their pride, dignity and potential, all for a dollar! A mind-boggling fact is that these particular migrants positions in their native country were not as bad, relative to their lowly positions in the foreign country. There are even some that are doing outstandingly well in their native land but still amazingly choose to migrate into a society where they are degraded and despised by the locals. The actions of these people bring about a negative reputation of their country as a whole, and make it difficult for legal visitors to procure a visa. |

Slimszy:No problem. You're just that good. |
Damn! This... This right here has gone beyond mere talent. This right here is a top-grade skill. Only fellow artists or those who know a thing or two about art can genuinely appreciate this. The level of detailing, shading, highlights, textures...oh God! If I were to practice for years, it would very, very difficult for me to attain this level of technique. Your technique in your area of expertise has neared perfection. Kudos sir! |
Wow that's remorseful. Condolences to his friends and family. |
The first house is bae. Mehn timaya didn't get there in one day. Hard work pays! #KeepOnHustling. Just remember to stay honest and shy away from those stuff that go against morals. Money isn't a do or die affair! Remember that always. Inner peace and satisfaction is the most important thing in our short existence. We will all turn to dust sooner or later, life is short so happiness is the best thing you can get out of it, so don't let the pressure overcome us. Just remember that at any point in time you think of, 120 years later NO SINGLE PERSON IN THIS WORLD WILL REMAIN will be alive. |

If you really, reaallly want to return the money and have a clear state of mind, you should: 1. Find a way to erect a clear and concise sign post of any material affordable; to be placed within a circumference of 5 - 10 meters where you found the money. Placed on the sign should be: • A viable means of contact, to your preference. (Text/calls via a cell phone number, e-mail e.t.c) • A detailed description of the lost package, area/location where the said package was lost and the circumstances in which you met the misplaced package by the prospective claimer. Description of the latter is not that important. The most important description needed is the former and it should entail: A. The exact amount of the money lost. B. The condition of the notes (minted, dirty, rumpled...) C. The currency of the notes and the common denominations of the notes i.e Are the notes in 20s or 100s, 500s or 1000s D. Specific details on the wrapping or packaging of the notes. In what manner were the notes packaged? Nylons? Envelope? A box? Rubber bands? Briefcase... • A slated period of time of which the lost package will be available for claiming by the prospective claimants, set to your own preference ( It could be days, weeks or months). My personal advice would be to leave it open for a maximum of two weeks. 2. If after carrying out the procedures stated above and you still haven't found a suitable claimant, then you can do this instead to have a guilt-free conscience. • Get the money off your hands by: A. Giving it to any of the suitable authorities/agencies or any other entity you deem fit. (I strongly advise not to carry out this act unless there is 100% trust.) B. Donate it to the less privileged of the society with a decisive and clear heart. C. Retain ownership of the money and invest it into a worthy venture or your private business with the intention of borrowing to aid and advance your business so when there's future maximization of profits, you take back the money you invested and keep it until the rightful owner comes along. (This is the best possible advice I approve of. You get both profits and a clear heart; A win-win situation!) D. Lock the money away in a safe location until further notice and restrain from using it in bits or fully. (This is only for those with excellent self-control and/or those who are wealthy enough) ......................................... This post is not only to the OP but can be deemed as the legit guidelines you should follow whenever you come across a misplaced package or lost valuable that you don't ignore. It doesn't betray your morals, there are no losses and it can even end up benefitting you. But if these guidelines aren't really what you want, there's always that option...The option which 70% of people would normally take: • Don't give a **** and use the money or valuable however you want. Finders - keepers, *****!!!! Hope this was helpful ![]() |
Why are so many here self-pretentious hypocrites? It's obvious that the act wasn't done out of Ill will instead it was due to high levels of excitement kind of like when you win a lottery. I don tire for blacks sef. They don't know what racism is anymore. Always exaggerating and creating issues where there's none, always playing victim and looking for pity . Some fools are even attributing Nigeria's failure yesterday to racism. |
Let the eagles cross the mountains before dreaming of the seas. I hope all these attention and spot-light the team is getting won't turn out to be their undoing. At the very least, let the super eagles successful and smoothly pass the tough barrier that is the group stage before anyone starts mentioning the semi-finals. |
Great stadium but... This standard of football pitch we are celebrating as our best is nothing special and common in advanced counties. Wouldn't it be more exciting if the stadium was an innovating first of its kind never to be seen anywhere else and set as a standard for others to follow? We're just too far behind. Every time we take an inch forward the others are miles ahead. Even most of the advanced if not all modern facilities we have are gotten from them. When will we have to stop paying millions of dollars to get others to do stuff for us. Just do a quick research by heading into your kitchen and picking the most common products Nigerians use daily and you'll be certainly surprised to discover that nine out of ten of those common brands are neither started by nor owned by a Nigerian. The way Africa is so disadvantaged now maybe a world war might not necessarily be a bad thing as when the lions and tigers fight to the death the creeping vultures reap the highest benefits. There is opportunity in disaster if luck is on our side. Honestly, this is the only thing that I can see changing and resetting the playing fields in the long run. |
Hey guys! Here's my amateurish drawing of guess what... A lady! I used only a pencil, pen and marker for this piece. It was supposed to be the painting of a certain female celebrity but this mess eventually came out instead and now I'm too ashamed to reveal who the celebrity I was trying to draw is Enjoy! ![]()

I may not have a professional knowledge when it comes to analyzing cell phones. But I believe this whole thread is just full of lies. Some are comparing Samsung and Apple to these Chinese brands, saying their phones are actually better. Are you trying to tell me that if I bring out a s9 on one hand and the most high-end phone of any of these Chinese brands on the other, they are really objectively no differences with the latter even better? Just look at the link below, listing the specs of the redmi 5 plus and the 2015 s6 edge. Didn't s6 edge beat the redmi 5 plus in all aspects except that of battery life? (Don't know about camera capability tho). http://phonesdata.com/en/compare/5059/3104/ |
"The monkey who observes from afar sees the kitchen stove to be simply hot but the lizard who dances on the stove sees it to be no different than the caressing of hell." That's all I'll say. If dear Donald trump really thinks this stove is the most beautiful there is, I hope in his next life he'll join this ever-growing group of lizards as we continue to dance on the beautiful stove named Nigeria. |
I don't understand this statement. Could it be there are actually people who, because of a TV programme cannot create time to obtain their pvcs ( if they really want it tho) as they're too engrossed? How can there be such irresponsible adults ![]() |
Kai! This country... See how poor the facilities of government secondary School is and there are even many worse than this. Even looking at our federal Universities, there are so many foreign public highschools that have much more better facilities not to talk of their universities. Sigh! Just when will all these change? |

Truly a great achievement in their young age. *sigh*but...the truth is that once they've up to be highly successful there's a 90% chance they'd have forgotten about the existence of one troubled country named Nigeria, located somewhere in shithole africa. We should be asking why isn't this something they could have done in Nigeria? Why in a foreign land? Gosh, this country really needs divine intervention. Most of our talented citizens with bright future all leave this country to develop themselves while contributing to and advancing the foreign countries they reside in while their fatherland which they ignore continues to deteriorate by the day,yet we here keep hailing these individuals who keep bring development to foreign lands and zero progress to our own nation . But can we blame them? Is there really any person who would want to return to hell after tasting heaven. " How can we have a future as a nation when we can't retain our very own bright futures from making foreign lands brighter while leaving us in continued darkness". |
Op, please don't take any useless advice from these old fashioned posters here. For most of the posts here to actually advice a 21year old full grown adult against having sexual relations with the opposite sex truly baffles me. Like do you freaking realize this is the 21st century and not the 19th century? Some even go as far as saying that you'll lose focus or be distracted and shit. Mind you, did the op tell you that because he wants relieve his fear of being intimate with the opposite,he isn't responsible, determined and focused with clear goals for himself? Dude, you are in the spring of youth and you should enjoy life to it's fullest, don't be bothered about to many things. It's okay for you too feel some fear for your first time,if it happens repeatedly that might be an issue but you'll sooner or later get over it. By the way you don't have to force yourself to have sex, if you're ready for it then it will happen. I'll go ahead and assume, the reason you so badly want to have sex before you convocate is due to the influence of your peers? I'm 19 and also a huge introvert with terrible social skills. I've never dated anyone or had any sort of intimate actions with the opposite sex. I'm usually mocked by my few friends and roommate for being that way. I don't know why most of them have this notion that the university is a basically a haven for sex, with your social life being wasted if you didn't have sex throughout your days in school. But even so, I don't actually care about what they say, I don't see sex as being all that important, I'm not bothered by it as it isn't among my priorities. Its something I feel will happen when I'm ready for it and that can happen anytime, maybe tomorrow or in two years,or even five! The point is don't feel forced and the need to conform. Have sex when you feel it's time and you're ready, then everything would be okay. |
I know it's morally wrong, extremely hateful and they need to be stopped, but candidly speaking and looking at the bigger scope, can the death of 168 people cause any slight ripple in the over 160 million large pool that is the Nigerian population? |
