Chisos! This season's gonna be lit All the formation wey dem guys don dey plan since go scatter like flies ![]() |
ibedun:Exactly! It disgusts and extremely worries me how Nigerians look up to the U.S and the West in reverence. They definitely aren't as 'good' as most have been brainwashed to believe. They certainly aren't our friends. I wouldn't even consider them allies... As long as it isn't their self-interest, they don't give a single shit about Nigeria and Nigerians. Nigeria as a country is just a tiny and weak empty vessel, basically irrelevant on the international scene. |
generationz:Seems to have expired currently and it should be for existing users when available and not new subscribers. |
Nigerians...very disgusting hypocrites. They castigate this man for hitting a child abuser who attempted murder, but when some parents assault their adult children for doing something that differs from their beliefs, or when teachers or lecturers physically assault students, you'll see these same disgusting hypocrites support them because they also share the same dumb beliefs as the aggressors. I don't know who this Ahmed guy is and I agree what he did is unprofessional as a journalist, but as much as you may feel it's wrong, as a human being, is it really? Ask yourselves, in this world we live in, if someone that sets little children ablaze doesn't deserve to get slapped in the face, then just who does!!? Such unbelievable foolishness... If you really blame that Ahmed guy and defend that wicked child abuser, then fcking congratulate your bloody self, CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! But guess what? From this point, you can't ever lay your hands on another human being and believe they deserved it because no matter what they did, it will probably never be worse than burning a 6-year-old girl alive, and since you believed such an action didn't deserve a minor assault in retaliation, then nobody who commits an offence lesser than hers deserve an assault from you or anyone else. If you think and do otherwise, then guessss what? You're just another rotten, shit-brained hypocrite! 7 billion humans and 200 million Nigerians are indeed too much humans as needed on this earth. |
Mustiboy:If you're that interested in my opinion, I already made a statement. Go search for it in the thread. Bye Bye |
Mustiboy:I don't remember specifying any individual(s) in particular in that post, but for you to go out of your way to identify yourself as someone unintelligent and uneducated by quoting me is quite amusing. |
Such a simple topic got blown out of proportion...nawa o! The exchange rate doesn't reflect a country's economy or cost of living, it simply compares the power of currencies in an international sense. Comparing them directly is wrong. You can't say 10$=4800N and because what you get in Nigeria with 4800N is much more than what you can get in the USA with 10$, the Naira is better. Honestly, that just dumb... While the 4800 is okay enough to manage in Nigeria, if you were to leave the shores of the country to another land like USA, you have to exchange the naira with their local currency to be able to buy anything there and with an exchange rate of 1$=480N, your 4800N is converted to 10$ which is nearly useless in USA. On the other hand, if you were to come from USA to Nigeria, 10$ that can't buy you anything in USA, can feed you well for nearly a week in Nigeria.. This is basic economics really. For an equal amount of labour done and time consumed, an American man earns 3000$ and a Nigerian man earns 70,000N. In their respective countries, that money will be able to provide them the same average standard of living. But if they decide to travel to each other countries, when they exchange their currencies, The 70,000N becomes roughly 146$, while the American man's 3000$ becomes 1.4 million naira. See where the critical issue of poor exchange rate lies? The American man who lived averagely in USA becomes a rich man in Nigeria with his 3000$(1.4 million naira), While the Nigeria man who lived averagely in Nigeria, becomes relatively poorer in USA with his 146$(70,000 naira)... |
Muslims, Christians, Israel, Palestine...conflicts that the black man has no business with but...slavery triumphs over and over again. The Hebrew Nation and the Arab Nation hold the blacks in contempt and deep down relegate our existence to slaves meant to serve them, the 'holy ones.' They took our identity and lands from us, destroyed our heritage, erased our traditions and broke our culture... And today, the identity of the Black Nation is now that of the sons of Isaac and Ismail, along with the ways of the rest of the western world, with whatever little is left of our original ways being gradually erased under the guise of 'modernization' till eventually, nothing remains. Indeed, they were right about the Black Nation being a Slave Nation. Look at all the hate, violence, terror, division, and bloodshed we see in the Black Nations of today, spurred by the beliefs of the Asian cultures, ways foreign to us that our ancestors did not know but has now become who we are today. We continue to hate and kill each other in the spirit of ways that belong not to our ancestors but to foreigners who erased our own ways and slaved us to theirs. And when the Jews and Arabs shed each others blood in the spirit of the culture of their own ancestors, the Black Nation who should be of no concern to that, does not prove wrong her identity as a slave who has no will bar that of that of her master's by supporting their violence of cultures in honour! The Black Nation...a great tragedy indeed, sigh! Perhaps one day, the chains of slavery will break and the Black Nation will once again regain the freedom its ancestors had enjoyed in the distant past. |
Too many ignorant and unintelligent people on this forum...Quite unfortunate, but I'd like to believe the majority of Nigerians aren't so close-minded with lots of uneducated opinions and thoughts, like the moronic populace of Nairaland. |
Lies! Just another western propaganda to disparage the Chinese ![]() |
Op, are you a child? If no, you should know that actions have consequences and if you want to resolve a situation, the best way is to use your intelligence and not your fists. Intelligent people win fights by using their brains to think of the most optimal way to take down their opponent with the least costs to themselves. If you go ahead to have a rematch with the thug, no matter your victory or defeat, you could end up with serious or even fatal injuries that can destroy your future and the lives of people around you. Ok, let's imagine the rematch goes according to how you've imagined it in your head. Have you thought of the revenge of the thug? Do you think the thug will respect you and leave you be after you've defeated and humiliated him? Just like how you are now, the thug will certainly want revenge and will be far more vicious than you in getting it. He wouldn't hesitate to call upon his gang of thugs to mercilessly ambush and end you. What do you think will happen to you that has no network of thugs or law enforcement to protect you? |
Stay faithful to MTN. Not only do they have the fastest download speeds I've seen amongst the popular Nigerian networks, but their data plans are also very nice. Not all devices are eligible for this offer and I don't know how you can qualify, but those who do can enjoy can special offers through #121# For Special Data Offers, you can get 1. 2GB for 500 (2.5 GB if use subscribe through MTN APP) 2. 100% bonus on their 3000 for 12GB plan which gives u double the data, i.e 12GB + 12GB = 24GB for 3000N 3. 100% bonus on their 5000 for 20GB plan which gives u double the data, i.e 20GB + 20GB = 40GB for 5000N To make it even sweeter, MTN is currently offering a 200% bonus (Three times the data!) on any of their data plans from 500 - 5000N. If you get the text from MTN, you're qualified. Though, I think this is only available to those who already qualified for the *121# offers. This is what I've been using from the past month. With 3000N, I got 36GB and with 5000N, I got 60GB(currently using). |

haHaHA! We are in a democracy but the Nigerian Government is acting like an authoritarian regime or military dictatorship. What is the difference between what they are doing and the dictatorial Chinese Communist Party when they send entire military tanks to kill students in the famous Tiianwen square protests? What happened to the opposition government in our country? Why is PDP silent? Is the power of APC so great that the can suppress all opposition and fully control the Armed Forces? |
This isn't a military regime so what grants the government and military the power to unconstitutionally and inhumanly open fire on the citizens they swore to protect? I'm not in support of violence but if APC wants to act like a dictatorship and oppress the democratic rights, it's only in due time that Nigeria turns into a decrepit warzone like other African nations of the past and present such as Mali, Gambia, Libya, Somalia, etc. Everyone's brain should reset before we reach a point of no return and start a decades-long political war. |
Elvictor:. State sovereignty can be breached in cases of severe political crisis, breakdown of democratic order, and humanitarian crimes. plus, Mali is a member of the multilateral ecowas organization, which means it has ceded a part of its sovereignty to the regional organization to be used in the aforementioned situations. The situation in Nigeria hasn't descended to that so no, the U.N nor ECOWAS aren't going to supersede the authority of the Nigerian Government on the matter of the protests. |
Wow, I'm highly surprised at the level of ignorance toward simple concepts of politics shown in this thread. Nigeria is a sovereign state! That means the government has absolute control over the affairs of its jurisdiction. No external party can interfere in the affairs of our country no matter what! .The worst they can do is impose sanctions on the government and it is still is that will bear the brunt of that. |
So Falz is an Olodo like this? How can someone who studied Law in a University not understand a simple concept as Sovereignty? Something that is taught in secondary school classes... |
Lol, is any one surprised by this? A government that has been supporting killer herdsmen and sponsoring Boko Haram and others to terrorize their own citizens for their own agendas. This is nothing. Don't be surprised if you hear Boko Haram has started bombing protesters in the north. |
Vulcan24:Culprit? I'm not aware of all the details but I believe the documents showing the sentencing of another man for the crime adds points to her credence unlike you guys claiming her mother is the one responsible instead, without accompanying your statements with suitable evidence. If you guys can't do that, all you've been saying just amounts to unintelligent gossips and rumours... |
Dis VAR crap don spoil premier league finish. Just little elbow 3 inches beyond the line is now offside. |

Being pragmatic, this is Nigeria we are in. Not to mention agreement, even if a hundred laws are passed today on Police Brutality and Restriction, it is all in vain as the reality of Nigeria is that of a lawless land where the Rule of Law only exists in theory and laws being selectively applied. The Police is a powerful institution where accountability is nonexistent, similar to the political institutions we have in the country and sadly, this isn't only a Nigerian issue. It's the same thing with the Police in America the spurred the Black Lives Movement(BLM). When the Police misuse their power and bend the laws to their advantage, who's going to hold them accountable? Is it the irresponsible and corrupt government we have? Are the heads of the Police who also benefit from the status quo or us the citizens, who will have to start nationwide protests or riots to temporarily curb the power of the Police by demanding justice? We need a lasting solution...something that will work! The only thing my little mind can think of is a complete overhaul of the Police. The only ones who can hold the Police accountable are the Police. If the superiors or 'ogas' of the Police with the supervision of the citizens and government, can ensure a professional, strict environment where any misdeeds or lawbreaking will result in immediate termination and/or court charge. It has to make clear and rigorously enforced, that the Police workforce is a professional and respected organization where the corrupt deeds of the past won't be tolerated. But alas, it is a situation of give-and-take. It is impossible to create such a strict environment in the Police when the employees are unhappy, unappreciated, underpaid, and overworked. In as much as the corrupt deeds of the Police are abhorrible, we also have to understand that it is their only means of survival. They are people that risk their lives so we can walk outside without fear and sleep safely at night. At such, their lives and wellbeing should be better valued by us and the Government. It is because such is nonexistent in Nigeria, we have and will continue to face the issue of Police corruption and abuse of power. We need to restrain our anger and hatred of the Police and be human beings. Love is the panacea to the problems of the world, they are also human just like us and bear the same problems and suffering we do. While calling for an end to Police Brutality, we should also clamor for a revamp of the Police. With the same energy, lets us demand the Police are provided with a better standard of living that can be compared to the best police forces in the world; high salaries, affordable and standard housing, allowances, better pension, better equipment, and standard stations, along with respect, appreciation, better training, and responsibility. The problems of the police are also our problems. We can't just expect them to protect us wholeheartedly, without caring about them. They aren't automated robots, but human beings. All in all, the problem of the Police and almost every other problem we have in the country, can all be traced to bad governance and our corrupt government. |
Only idiots who can't understand and appreciate their priviledged lives would say Nigeria isn't a lawless jungle. |
I hope this serves as a lesson to those rash fellows who overreact and take action without understanding. It's always best to calm down a bit in life because things aren't always as they seem and there'll always be something that you don't know. Never believe a story 100% because as long as you aren't directly involved, there'll always be several sides to it. It isn't wrong to react to hearsay but do not get too emotional and overreact. A lot of the world's problems would be solved if humans use their heads better, rather than their hearts. |
Those people deserve the shithole they were born into and live in. |
I've never understood this SARS of a thing. Isn't it supposed to be a tactical department of the police that only responds to high-level cases like Bank Robberies, Terrorism, etc., so what the hell have they been doing on our streets? Just imagine how ridiculous it would be if someone told you the U.S SWAT teams are patrolling their streets, intimidating, harassing, extorting, torturing, abducting, and murdering them, with no accountability whatsoever. You'd only expect to see this type of occurrences in an extreme dictatorship like North Korea, so how and why has this been going on in Nigeria for so long? |
destinnyy:Lol. Just wait and see. |
Timijo:Lol nah, Just won 500k with 21k. Somehow I expected all this ![]() |
