CrimeOkowa: Delta Farmers Pay Herdsmen ‘protection Money. Impeach Okowa Now... by ican2020(op): 12:02pm On Mar 19, 2018
Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, yesterday lamented how the people of Uwheru community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state were paying toll fees to herdsmen before they were allowed to gain access to their farmlands. The governor said it was disturbing for indigenes to pay money to nonindigenes over their land before they can farm, calling on security agencies in the state to stop herdsmen menace before it assumed a dangerous dimension.

The governor expressed his displeasure to the Assistant Inspector- General (AIG) in charge of Zone 5, Benin, Edo State, Mr. Rasheed Akintunde, when he visited him in Asaba, saying that the situation in Uwheru had become pathetic. He said the menace had been on for several years, but that the new twist had become worse, hence the Federal Government should take a decisive action on them. Okowa said: “There is a particular community in Delta State. We discussed it at security council meeting, and just yesterday while I was in Ughelli North for my regular Town Hall meeting, the people raised a very serious issue about the Uwheru community.”

“It is a very pathetic situation, because the President-General of the community spoke about the fact that out of seven communities, three are actually occupied by herdsmen and that the farmers were told that they must pay the herdsmen before they can enter their farmlands and that is very disturbing, because it is strange for indigenes to pay money before they can enter their farms. Something has to be done urgently before it evolves into a crisis,” the governor said. The AIG told the governor that he was on a familiarisation tour of police formations under his beat, commending the governor for his numerous supports to the police command in the state.

BusinessGTB PLC Charge Me N367.29 To $1 In An Online Transaction, Is It Right? by ican2020(op): 6:17am On Feb 19, 2018
On Saturday, I carried out a transaction online using my GTB PLC account and 24 hours later, I received an SMS and email that N 367.29 to $1 was debited. See the image below for total transaction

Is that amount, right?

The official exchange rate is far less than this, so, why will GTB charge me so high, N 367.29 to $1

I need your inputs on this, please.

And also, getting the email address and phone number of CBN’s bank supervisory department or unit, so, that I can contact them on this will be appreciated, cause I intend to seek answers to this exorbitant amounts and I promise to report back to the house what happen thereafter.

Thanks in advance for helping out.

PoliticsIs Depositing Money Into Somebody's Account A Sin by ican2020(op): 1:38pm On Feb 13, 2018
I read this healing: How 31 suspects put $11.4m in Jonathan’s wife’s account
Source: http://thenationonlineng.net/31-suspects-put-11-4m-jonathans-wifes-account/amp/

The questions now are:
Is depositing money into somebody's account a sin?
Is depositing money the real reason why fuel queues refused to end?
Is that the reason why many civilians and uniform personnel’s are killed on daily basis?
Is that the reason why importers have to abandoned their containers and cars in Apapa port
Is that the reason why we don’t get up to 6 hours electricity daily?
Is that the reason why foodstuff takes the lion share of workers’ income?

These media trails are stifling the economic viability of the country and at the same time driving investors away.
Today, our exchange rate is a little bit stable because of CBN’s frequent intervention and the very day they stop the fx intervention, the naira will fall flat
The Nigeria government should fix the roads, fix the energy sector, pump money into education, take decisive action against killers irrespective of where they come and put smiles on peoples face, rather than theses cover up info’s, whose sole aim is to distract the attention of those people who write or talk before thinking

And lastly, ones a case is established against anyone, the authority concern should do the needful by take the culprits to court.
Why the quest to bring Nigeria out of the wood should be pursued with total concentration.

Thank you all for your contributions, you are all appreciated.

On the very expensive issue, are you 100% sure about that, cause I saw a phone with the same name, same specification but with bigger price differential, while aliexpress sells for $110 and above, gearbest sells few cents below $100 including almost free shipping.

PoliticsRe: Court Affirms Senate's Power To Reject Magu by ican2020: 5:49am On Feb 02, 2018
deomelllo:
You rightfully quoted the Senate's constitutional obligation to confirm or reject executive nominations, but not the executive powers and prerogative to nominate and keep nominating any candidate they desire including Magu.

There is no law under the Nigerian constitution that says the executive cannot keep nominating and sending the same candidate for confirmation.

The Senate is free to keep rejecting Magu, it is their choice per the constitution, but they can not prevent the executive from nominating the same Magu over and over and over and over again.

Bottomline, this ruling means a lot to the Senate, but it means nothing to the President of Nigeria and it doesn't say and can never say the President of Nigeria can not renominate the same candidate.

Now, the Senate should never be allowed to approve heads of agencies like EFCC especially considering the fact that many members of the Senate are under investigation by the same EFCC/Magu, even the Senate president himself.

It's like asking the armed robber to pick and chose his own favorite prosecutor and deciding Judge. It's called conflict of interest.

The Senate by the deciding to place an embargo on Executive nomination approval is unconstitutional and illegal blackmail, they have to do their job which is to confirm or reject nominees.

The President per his powers and equal powers regarding separation of powers has the upper hand and al the Senate can do is to keep saving face with meaningless court judgments and tantrums.

The Nigerian Senate in it's present form is rubbish, unfocused, corrupt, materialistic, self-serving and incompetent.
The Senate can sack the President, but the President cannot sack the Senators.
The Senate can make your President kneel down to save his office but the Senators will only smile and move on

That is why we should vote responsible people into both chambers since they have the ultimate power to do and undo
