makzeze:
Fellow citizens,
I address you once again in the course of our nation's history. I am disillusioned, disenchanted, disturbed and disorganized by the magnitude and intensity of corruption exhibited by the Jonathan's administration. I am bold to say without reservations that the government of Gooduck Ebele Jonathan is the most corrupt in the history of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I give you reasons why any Nigeria who has got blood flowing through his vains and not kerosine should not commit the satanic sacrilage of voting for Jonathan or the PDP. These economic cankaworms, financial scavengers and national devourers have succeeded in rewinding our national life by 20 years. The anointing of Deziani Alision Madueke(Minister Of Petroleum) by president Jonathan as the untouchable, uncrowned Prime Minister of Nigeria elucidates the degree of the looting of national treasury. This massager of Mr president (Deziani) has been indicted by six(6) reports namely:
1- The Farouk Lawal Report
2- The Senate Report on Subsidy
3- KPMG Report on the oil sector
4- The Aik Imuokhode Report
5- The Ribadu Report
6- The NEITI Report
Despite all these indictments, the darling favourite of Mr president is every wednesday immaculately attired and cosmopolitantly fashioned in DIAMONDS attending the Federal Executive Council Meeting under the watchful eyes of an unperturbed and conquered president. Suffice me therefore to explain why the almighty petroleum ministry under Jonathan have niether minister of state or Special Adviser. FCT ministry as small as it is have a Minister of State. The same petroleum ministry under president Obasanjo had four(4) ministers namely:
The substantive Minister, the Minister of State, Minister of State Gas and Minister of State Energy. Yet with a special Adviser ( Late Alhaji Rilwan Lukman) today, Deziani is the alfa and omega in the petroleum industry and the national treasurer of PDP and the presidential campaign. Now with this massive inredeemable and record breaking looting of our common patrimony, who ia that sane Nigerian who support a man who on national TV defended his demented proposition that stealing is not corruption? Nigerians must come out of thier gullible cocoons and operate in an active mileau. Say NO to the man who meet dollar at #119 and today is #225. Vote out the man who petrol at #65 and is today sold for over #90. Resist the party that says 16 is great than 19. Sweep out the man who granted clemency to corrupt Nigerians and villified the honest. In 2010, lagos-Abuja by air is #15,000, today is #35,000 by Arik. Femi Fanikayode, Reuben Abati and Doyin Okupe should all learn from the experience of Labaran Maku. No amount of pacakaging, window dressing, boju-boju and bolekaja politics will redeem or sell rotten eggs. Good rediance to bad rubbish. Mr president, Otuoke by road, safe journey.

PoliticsOur Leaders Need To Place National Interest Above Selfish Ambition – Col. Nyiam by ican2020(op):
Col. Tony Nyiam hit the limelight as a leader of the botched 1990 coup that attempted to remove the military government of Gen. Ibrahim Babangida. In this interview on Rockcity FM, Abeokuta, monitored by TOSIN AKINOLA, he urged Nigerian leaders currently locked in battles for political offices to put national interest above their selfish ambitions. Excerpts:
As a commissioned Army officer, how do you feel about the situation in the North- East where Nigerian soldiers appeared to have been ridiculed by the Boko Haram sect?
I feel very sad about the perception we now have about the Nigerian military, but it’s not surprising because it is a system thing. We have, for a long time, had a dysfunctional system where we had leaders after leaders who did not want a strong military because of the fear of a coup and over the years, the military were not properly equipped nor armed and on top of this, Nigeria is one of the places under-policed. If you take the indices, anybody who is a researcher should go and check Chad, Niger, Cameroon, Burkina-Faso and even Benin Republic, they spend much more percentage of their GDP on defence. Not only that, in terms of people in uniform and the population, we do so badly, the whole Nigerian armed forces are not up to 200,000, that is the Army, Navy, Air force.
You said some of the aims of that 1990 coup was to remove un-elected leaders, did you have a plan to immediately hand over or organise an election?
First of all, at that time we had a plan of 18 months and the 18 months was for us to address the issues Nigerians have been dodging and these are the issues that we have to address. Elections go, elections come, most politicians are concerned about the next election but there are hardly statesmen that are concerned about the next generation, concerned about the future of the youths, people are always thinking about their children. Obama for example, in the last election, they talked about this oil and gas, how over dependent they were on outsiders, Obama brought in, a system whereby America would free herself from over-dependence on the middle east, today we have seen the truth, Obama’s plan was to fend for his generation to come.
In our own case, our politicians think only of the next election and their ambition, what we sat out to do and what is still a pre requisite for us to begin a proper transition and democracy are three things in my mind, once we set out, the first thing we would have done was to have a sovereign national conference. Two, we were to correct the lies we have altered by history, the lying of census. It’s only in Nigeria that those who are in the coast are less in population than people who live in the semi desert region, if you check, nowhere in the world do you have such. So, this census matters which you also see now even with the distribution of the PVCs is so stressed that we are saying we should rush an election where the amount of PVCs that was sent to the northern parts of Nigeria were almost as much as the one distributed to the whole South, the whole southern region is about 16 million that have been distributed, the North-West is over 13 million, that lie has to be corrected, we need to have a genuine census to know how many we are and we had a plan that, that census will be conducted by the international body like the UN agency for a change, we will really know ourselves.
Right from the days of the British, the British taught some people how to fortify census figure to give them some political advantage, we want to correct that and this is still imperative, people forget that this election coming, of the things apart from the oil well, people are afraid that Jonathan is going to do a proper census which will come up next year and this is why when I say some of our elite, the intellectual who should be thinking beyond election, should be looking at the strategic picture, strategic interest, for example, of the South-West, South- east, South- South, they should be thinking if we juggle this election, the candidate we are going to have, will he give us, will he allow us to conduct census and correct this abnormally in census? Census is very important, to do the census, it’s after you have done the conference, there is a disproportionate sharing of the revenue to the point that those who don’t have number gets more than those who have number.
To do census the third thing is to put the system in place, know the number of Nigerians, different parts of Nigeria, different nations within Nigeria, how many they are? That’s how you can really meaningfully do what is called election. In the U.K where some of us have lived, in America, census and election go hand in hand, in fact it’s the same board because if you start an election whereby there is an imbalance in the census figure, you have already rigged the election before you even start, so it is all these contradictions, all these dysfunctional aspects of our politics that we are to correct and this is why this election is at stake, I appeal to every Nigerian, opinion moulders that they must realise that this election so much is at stake. The choice is between electing somebody who is ready to restructure the country, so that there is balance.

PoliticsRe: President Jonathan Dancing Orezi's Shoki Last Night At Eko Hotel, Lagos by ican2020: 1:01pm On Mar 02, 2015
Isaddabai:
I Will Rather Die Than Vote Jonathan, By Ibraheem Dooba "The forthcoming presidential election is not politics. The gubernatorial contest in Lagos State between Jimi Agbaje and Akinwunmi Ambode is politics, since it’s a choice between two credible candidates. Obama versus Romney was politics. The gubernatorial contest in Jigawa is politics, since people have a choice to elect a candidate from a party (PDP) which has done well for them at state level or a candidate from a party (APC) that promises to revolutionize their lives positively.

I stand united with Sonala Olumhense, who said that the presidential election this year is a struggle for the soul of Nigeria. “Make no mistake: this struggle is for the soul of Nigeria, and you are either in the race for that soul, or assisting someone who is. Anyone who is neither running nor contributing productively works against Nigeria.”

So, it’s not politics! And it shouldn’t be construed as such. In this struggle, you can’t be on the fence, because there is no fence.

To give you one premise out of many, I read last week in Leadership newspaper that 13 of the Chibok girls’ parents have died. Among many deaths that GEJ caused with his actions and inactions, I attribute these deaths to him. The parents, the newspaper wrote, died due to stress-related illnesses on account of the kidnapping of their children. If that was the case, the deaths were quite avoidable. Some measures could have been taken by the president to reduce the feeling of hopelessness for parents in such a traumatic situation, such as showing concern, empathy, giving them hope, visiting the community and showering them with kind words.

Now imagine you were a Chibok parent, and listened to these presidential statements:

I’ve not gone to Chibok because it’s not a small place, it’s a whole local government – President Jonathan.

Going to Chibok will not bring back the girls – President Jonathan

When I looked at the list, 90% of the girls are Christians – President Jonathan

We don’t know where the Chibok girls are – President Jonathan

On the Chibok girls, I don’t want to be quoted – President Jonathan

We’ve rescued the girls [a lie] – Defense HQ

Nobody is missing – Patience Jonathan, the first lady

These are words from the leaders who are supposed to provide comfort. Indeed, it took the intervention of a teenage girl, Malala, from a foreign country, Pakistan, before our president agreed to meet the parents of the girls. And as if to rub it in, it was reported that someone in the president’s circle (where stealing is not corruption) attempted to steal the little money the parents were given.

And now you tell me that voting someone who enacted this nonsense is politics? This is just one case from many cases of the deaths that GEJ’s government has caused. As recent as last year, 2014, GEJ and his people believed that the criminally insane idiots in Boko Haram camp are fighting political war on behalf of “northerners” to make Nigeria ungovernable for him!

To prove that, Dr. (first name, Bastard) Okupe, the presidential spokesperson, suggested, on a Channels TV interview which I watched, that local government elections in Yobe State were conducted hitch free. That comment was to prove his case that Boko Haram does not attack northern political leaders. Like ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo said, if Jonathan and his aides had not wasted time believing that Boko Haram is a creation of his enemies armed to campaign against his government, these insufferable idiots would have long been defeated.

Yet, you want me to tolerate people who support this gang? Someone suggested some of my followers are my students and I should seek to convince them instead of killing our friendship. My response to that is, I’m not proud of a student with such a flawed logic as to support a government which has brought nothing to us in Nigeria save destruction. And I think the time to convince people is long gone. If you’ve not made up your mind that this is the worst government we’ve ever had in Nigeria, whatever your age, you’re beyond redemption. You’re unteachable.

Maybe I didn’t write plainly enough, earlier. I’ll do so now.

If I had a child old enough to vote and he told me that he’s going to vote Jonathan, I would disown him. Friends, if l lost, I would make new ones, but there’s no guarantee I can spawn a new child. This is how seriously I take this.

For the same reason, if an employee comes to me and says he’s voting for GEJ, I will thank him for his candour and fire him on the spot. I can’t risk contaminating my organization by such wicked thinking.

If I had a tenant who promises me to vote GEJ, I would hand him a quit notice without hesitation. I hope you get the point? Not yet? OK, here’s the final one: if I were having an open heart surgery, and the lead surgeon informs me that he’s voting for GEJ, I’ll ask him to drop his scalpel and let me die!

I’m sure you now get my point. Anybody but Jonathan."

PoliticsWhy OPC Supports Jonathan –gani Adams by ican2020(op): 4:00am On Feb 23, 2015
National Coordinator of Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Otunba Gani Adams has said that only President Goodluck Jonathan’s candidacy can protect the collective interest of the Yoruba nation.

He said that the implementation of the recommendations of the National Conference organized by President Jonathan would largely address the long dream of the Yoruba for a restructured Nigeria.

Otunba Adams made the remarks yesterday when he received the Special Adviser to the Presidency on the Amnesty Programme, Mr Kingsley Kuku in his Lagos home.

The OPC leader enjoined people of the South West not to allow opportunists and those who do not have the interest of Nigeria at heart to deceive them.

He said that the National Coordination Council of the OPC decided to support Jonathan after exhaustive deliberations and conclusion that only his candidacy would make the Yoruba to realize its long dream for restructuring the nation.

His words: “Ten years ago, we of the OPC always shied away from politics but we discovered that if you do not give your people a direction, opportunists and those who do not love this country would cash in on that and misdirect them.

“It is because of that, that we from the National Coordinating Council of the OPC decided to support President Goodluck Jonathan. It is not a decision by Gani Adams alone. We are supporting Jonathan because of the issue of National Conference which will address the needs of the Yoruba nation.

“We have been clamouring for national conference since 1992 but all the past governments have not been able to organize it. Even our kinsman in 2005 organized the National Political Reform Conference and gave the members conditions unlike Jonathan who gave us a blank cheque except on the issue of the unity of Nigeria.

“In 2005, there was a stalemate and we could not complete it. But somebody from the minority in the person of President Jonathan just decided on October 1, 2013 to organize the conference.

“If Jonathan implements the recommendations of the conference, Nigeria would become a changed country compared to those who did not want the conference to hold and are clamouring for change. You cannot change a nation when you have a bad constitution, a constitution written by one person. Jonathan is a cool headed President fit for our young democracy. Nigeria was last year adjudged number one in Africa. So, what do you want from President Jonathan?”

He urged the Yoruba not to buy into the propaganda of a few politicians who are merely working to further their selfish interest.

Speaking earlier, Kuku commended the Yoruba for their steadfastness, saying that just like in 2011, the region would determine the outcome of the coming presidential election.

He recalled the effort which the Yoruba nation has committed in the struggle to entrench democracy in the nation and noted that Jonathan’s election in 2011 was largely because of the support from the South West zone.

“In 2011, the South West determined the result of the general election. President Goodluck Jonathan won overwhelmingly because of the support from leaders like you (Adams). The South West people were unanimous in their support for Mr President in that election.

“Again, as providence would have it, the South West is going to determine the election on March 28 that will see to the re-election of Mr President for another term of four years.

“It is clear to me that President Goodluck Jonathan’s election and re-election ultimately lies with the South West and it therefore lies with you as one of the leaders that supported him then.

“The South West has contributed so much to the stability of this country. The democracy we have enjoyed from 1999 till date is the sweat, blood and toil of mostly South Westerners and we as South Westerners cannot allow people to mix with wrong elements to derail this democracy at this point.

“We are here to formally once again thank you for providing leadership and to request you to support Mr President Jonathan’s bid for a second term. He is not perfect and there are so many things he could have wanted to do but would not achieve that after one term of four years.

“He has been distracted for three out of the four years. Even at that, his achievements are legendary for people to see in all sectors. I would love to tell you that if this President is given four more years, he is going to take us out of the woods. His next four years would put us on the path of democratic governance and the nation would now be entrenched democratically”. He said that by 2019 when Jonathan would be handing over to a brand new President, the country would have its pride of place in the comity of nations.

PhonesRe: Be A Responsible Data User, Avoid Cheats And Tweaks by ican2020: 5:39am On Feb 22, 2015
luluosas:
BE A RESPONSIBLE DATA USER, AVOID CHEATS AND TWEAKS

Often times due to the insatiable desire of human beings, we usually look out for avenues to satisfy our appetite or meet our demands desperately even if it means going into dubious and shady adventures provided our needs are met. We equally don’t care whether we infringe, trample, tampered or stepped on other peoples’ idea and copywrited materials to achieving our desperate desires, we often see those illegal ventures and avenues as loopholes to pay back on those who in one way or the other we consider ripping us off unjustly, without minding the stress these people, institutions, enterprises and firms underwent before coming out bright in the provision of their services.

Now due to the lack of responsible attitudes of most of our youths today particularly as it relates to internet subscription and data usage in Nigeria, coupled with the high cost to maintaining data enabled devices especially devices powered by Google’s Android operating system, Apple’s iOS, Windows OS and the new BB10 OS, including USB Modems and other data machines and devices, our youths have now resorted to either tweaking the imei of their devices, or create cheats and work on loopholes as may be discovered on the various telecoms platform to use a service that was not designed for their devices. Irrespective on which angle we may want to argue this point, it is a criminal act and I call on everyone involved in such criminality to please stop doing it right away. You may never be caught in the eyes of the law, but should your conscience be alive as a human being, you quite know that what you are doing is wrong and obviously it is a crime.

In Nigeria today, we all usually screamed to the rooftops shouting ‘government is corrupt’ ‘government is corrupt’, whereas we as an individual are more corrupt than the government officials we are screaming at. To control, stop and tame corruption and corrupt practices in Nigeria, every one of us must see ourselves as stake holders in the fight and struggle to eliminate corruption in our midst. We must start to be involved in responsible ventures worthy of emulation so that we don’t continue in sowing bad seeds in our young ones and expect to achieve a corruption-free Nigeria in the near future.

The various internet and data service providers in Nigeria are offering their services in commensurate measures as set by the regulatory agency (NCC), and coupled with the prevailing circumstances, unfriendly and harsh business environment in Nigeria, these operators one way or the offer their services rather on the high side, putting into consideration what it takes to provide such a service to an individual or entity. Although I am not supporting the high tariff offered Nigerians on the internet platforms, but I am sure their hands are tied in this regard.

For example, a competent source confides in me sometimes ago that the regulatory agency NCC, threatened to sanction Glo Mobile Nigeria, for offering a 350MB data volume at N1,000 to their HSI data subscribers should they fail to review it downward. And true to the information as was passed to me, Glo Mobile today has reviewed that data subscription plan, as they now offer 300MB data volume for N1,000 as against the initial 350MB that was available earlier. NCC, rather than our various data service providers are to be held responsible for the high cost of internet services in Nigeria. Our aggression should be directed at them and not at our service providers because they work under regulations set by the NCC.

From the foregoing therefore, instead of you buying a device which is data hungry, expensive to maintain and amounting to heavy data drainage on use, which invariably may cause you to be tempted by venturing into irresponsible acts and breaking normal operating system to use illegally to achieving your aims and desire, why not go for OS devices that have been designed and customised for cheap data consumption and services in meeting your crave for unending high data demands? Here, the older Blackberry OS comes to play. You are involved in tweaking your imei in order to use the normal Blackberry internet services on your Android OS. Why not rather buy any Blackberry OS lower than BB10 and use the cheaper subscription meant for such services? To be responsible means to use platforms as it is meant to be used.

Moreover, there are cheaper Android, iOS, Windows and other services data subscription available today on the various mobile networks in Nigeria, all thanks to SME data subscription offered by third parties who usually buy data in bulk from the various service providers, and yours truly is one of them selling a legal third party data subscriptions to Nigerians. You can ring me on 08144845524 for your subscription 24/7. I will therefore encourage you to start patronizing these third party data resellers which is a laudable venture, than engaging in tweaks, cheats and tricks in using a legal service illegally. Youths of today, stop being irresponsible, and casts off the acts of irresponsibility from you.

Remember, whatever thing you do to cheat on others, it has eternal consequences whether you believe it or not. So stop! Be responsible today!

GOD bless you all.

http://emwanta..com/2015/02/be-responsible-data-user-avoid-cheats.html?m=1
Most of the service providers here are Big Cheats.

I just lost 2,500 naira to Glo.
I subscribe to their 4.5G data plan but could not use it because GLO deliberately made it so. how?

I am not new to Glo, I was using their data service in the past and it was working great but i ported to MTN 4.5G night plan which was cheaper and their service is also good too.

So, when Glo came up with this All day plan, I was happy and I subscribe, only to discover that it is a complete scam to 419 unsuspecting Nigerians, opening a page with it takes ages and to download 70mb file takes 3 hours or more, is that a BIG Scam?

I am presently looking for cheat on Glo because I will pay them back.

It will never be well with Glo

KADUNA—The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has described as ridiculous, allegations that it collected N7 billion bribe to rubbish All Progressives Congress, APC’s presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), wondering why mischief makers would concoct lies to deceive the public.

Public Relation Officer, PRO, of Northern CAN, Mr. Sunday Oibe, said: “The allegation is a complete lie and just one of the many evil plots to dent the image of CAN’s leadership.

“It is also to rubbish its integrity and make it morally incapable of leading Christians in these trying times. There was no way anybody would collect a kobo on behalf of CAN and start sharing it like booty.

“The man, who made the allegation, is totally unknown in CAN cycle and I am just hearing his name and that of his organization for the first time. How come he could be privy to such an arrangement if it really existed?

“It is a shame that anyone would make such mean allegation, without giving a shred of evidence, just to fulfil a political agenda at the cost of our ecumenism.

“It is all to silence the voice of CAN leaders against the tyranny and oppression that Christians suffer in the north-east and other parts of northern Nigeria.

“For the first time our oppressors have found CAN speaking up for its members, and they must do everything to frustrate our leaders. The kingdom of evil shall, again, fall flat at the feet of Jesus.”

A Borno-based pastor, who identified himself as Kallamu Musa-Dikwa and Executive Director, Voice of Northern Christian Movement, had alleged that some pastors allegedly received the N7 billion, not N6 billion as alleged by Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State.

PoliticsAkiolu Slams Obasanjo, Denies Endorsing Buhari by ican2020(op): 5:20am On Feb 20, 2015
LAGOS—Oba Rilwan Akiolu of Lagos, yesterday, took a swipe at former President Olusegun Obasanjo, accusing him of being the cause of the injustices he was accusing the present administration.

This is just as he has described as false, reports in the social media that he had endorsed the All Progressives Congress,’APC, presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.

Akiolu, who was one of the special guests at the commissioning of four Nigerian Navy Ships by President Goodluck Johnathan, told journalists while leaving the venue of the occasion at Naval Dockyard, Victoria Island, that Obasanjo allegedly inflicted pains on Lagos State while he was President.

He said: “ God gives many people long lives so that they can get enough punishment, like what is happening now. All the injustices they did against Lagos State from 1999 to 2007, God is exposing them. All the accusations the former President, Obasanjo is giving now, he initiated and nurtured it. He masterminded it and now he is complaining. God has a way of doing things. More are still coming to him,” he said.
On his alleged endorsement of Buhari as president, he said: “Who gave you that rumour? Who said so? Some of the things they are writing, for instance, like that former Minister Obanikoro, I went to his aged mother that they should warn him seriously. For the Presidency, I support the best person.
“If I want to do something, I do not pretend, God almighty Allah will give the Presidency to the people Nigerians want to do the best for this country”, he stated.

He was, however, quick to state: “I have picked Akinwunmi Ambode as the next governor of Lagos State . I have my reason for saying it and I do not hide it. I acted on God’s wisdom and picked him and by the grace of God, he will be the governor of this state.”

On the postponement of the election date by the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, he said: “The Head of State and INEC have told us that the elections will take place March 28 and April 11 and I hope by the grace of God, it will be like that. For the time being, the intent and purposes for the postponement is acceptable.”

Thanks to all the contributors here, though this is my first comment here, but going thru you write-ups here, worth gold.
Keep up the good job.
I have 300 v-boot Benz and I am thinking of going for 1998-2002 Mercedes-Benz E320 model, based on my mechanic's advice, that it is cheaper to maintain and has fuel economy
I am big and the interior gets my 100% approval but I need advice on what step to take.
I like strong cars and my v-boot is strong with strong engine (6 plug) but the only minus is that it is a single door car and it consumes fuel alot

Below is link to E320

Hello,
Please I will appreciate if anyone can provide me with advice on what to do to my vboot engine. It's consuming fuel too fast. The injector was changed from auto to manual n now it's lie this. The fuel filter under and behind d car makes noise too, could this be d cause?
And while driving I feel hot air around d pedal section. Why is this?
I'm in Abuja, I've not found a Mercedes Benz mechanic, d ones I use just keep zapping money out of me n I'm tired. Vboot, shouldn't be this expensive to maintain Na.
Lastly, how come it's expensive to fix am AC in the car too? They keep saying about 70k to buy all the AC parts.
Thanks for d help n please I need a sure technician too.
I have vboot 300 and I used 2 mechanics.
