This write-up was written in bad faith. So because I demanded that Wale should not waste the company's money on frivolous things, then I'm myopic, ungrateful and mischievous (are you serious?). Hope no be this kin brain you dey use cross road sha. You can't use these words on the shareholders for demanding accountability, responsibility, prudence in spending and good corporate governance. It's within our rights to do so. That you are okay taking peanuts from people because you see them as mini gods, well we don't. I am a shareholder and an investor, my money is involved, so I have the right to ask. Thanks ghm: Na wa o. It is well. How can human being be satisfied?
Those who are complaining about the party or OandO not paying dividends are myopic, ungrateful or just mischeivous. We had a company that is almost done and dead and the management, through their doggedness turned things around and the company, though not totally free but has a path already set for a great future and some of us are still complaining.
The first time I bought OandO was N4. I have already written the company off as bad investment but just decided to keep it since the money is not that sizeable or enticing only to wake up one day and saw 8 digits, only from OandO. from N4 to N89 then. Dividends could not have done that. Capital appreciation did it smoothly. I can have my own party by selling a few shares from my stake in OandO if I need a party badly.
As somone said, the end of the year party is not for shareholders, it is for the staff who have worked tirelessly to turn things around and the management did very well to recognise them by throwing a big party to celebrate the gigantic achievement and motivate them for future exploits.
Lastly, for my fellow shareholders, Capital Appreciation is much better than dividends payments, that is why some great US companies e.g. Google, Amazon, Nividia, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft etc are called growth stocks, they deliver capital appreciation and not just dividends even though some of them still pay but not at the expense of growth that will create capital apprecaition for their shareholders.. |

Stanbic is 0.7% if done via their app or website. Locotrader: Do you know their brokerage fees?
I need less than 1% brokerage fees.Morgan capital and Atlas portfolio (cititrader) are good here.
Stanbic and cardinalstone are 1% respectively.Might look at these one if no broker with competitive fees.
Greenwich securities, investment one and Afrinvest are the brokers I use but brokers fees 1.35%.I want to rebalance some of my holdings and divest one of them. |

What happens if the custodian goes under? Has this ever happened in the past? ololufemi: My brother, any mutual fund that is officially registered must be regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission "SEC" which requires that all assets they hold on behalf of investors or unitholders are domiciled with a custodian (a separate entity mandated to hold assets on behalf of the investors and fund managers). This custodial entity must not be associated or affiliated to the fund managers.
Technically, your funds are safe with the custodians.
If the mutual fund and or fund managers are not registered and regulated by the SEC, run away from them as fast as you can. |

https://nairametrics.com/2024/10/06/gtb-and-the-trials-of-brother-julius/ Not that it looks, it is a personal attack on him. He was just busy making allegations upon allegations and could not prove anything. The cybercrime law is still in force in Nigeria. If the police picks him, we will start trending justice for ***. |

The insults on me shows your maturity. Come!!! hope you are above 18, cause I don't understand this level of immaturity you are displaying here. You are just so good in blaming people without blaming yourself. Okay he gave an advice (for good or for bad) won't you process the advice first? Do you take all advice as it is given? There is a reason NSE but an age restriction to trading. There is a reason there is an 18 years restriction to most activities. The reason is simply they assume you should be matured enough to understand what you are doing. This your blame game shows you aren't the decision maker but a follow follow. I'm sure if someone here says sell your ELLAH lakes, you will sell one time and start the blame game again. In summary, I'm just asking you to grow up, stop insulting before in public space, stop blaming people for your life decisions. You don't know me, you have never seen me, you don't know where we will meet tomorrow, all you have done on this your post is insult me, call my brain a redarded one, called me a disgusting person, including naming my spec of brain. If we see tomorrow, how do you think I will rate you as a person? Again, my sincere advise to you is mind your speech and show us that you are an adult. SonofElElyonRet: Still showing your lack of comprehension skills. So your retarded brain can't process the part where i said i blame myself for falling for his trick? You trying so hard to exonerate him when it's clear he deliberately wanted to cause panic selling shows you are no different. It's not a case of honestly being wrong but deliberately trying to crash the price by triggering panic selling so he could load up. If your speck of a brain can't process that then that's too bad. On the other hand if you do understand this and still insist on supporting him then you are simply disgusting. I have no further words to exchange with your type. Since that episode I've bought far more shares in both Japaul and Ellah and will still buy when i see opportunities. For stocks with growth potentials, I've learned not to sell all my holdings when there's price retracement, if at all i choose to sell. Street needed to be called out and I've done so. Those who have a brain and conscience will understand |

My point is very simple. You are an adult and not a baby. Why are you hell bent on blaming someone for a decision you took. He didn't force you to sell. In all your blame game, have you taken out time to look in the mirror and blame yourself for the decision you took? The problem I see here is you not taking responsibility for your decision. The steps to healing are 1. Admitting that the decision to sell isn't a good one 2. Blame yourself solemnly for that decision. 3. Understand that this is a public domain, anyone can have a say on anything, when things they know nothing about. 4. Employment the services of a good financial advisor going forward. 5. Never blame anyone for decisions taken in this your journey on earth. 6. Analyze every advice given to your without any sentiments and without choosing a side. 7. Be kind with your words especially in a public domain. SonofElElyonRet: Dim witted post from you. You clearly haven't followed all the posts from when the matter started till now. You clearly haven't read my posts or simply lack the capacity to comprehend. Jumping into a matter without grasping the issues raised will only result in specious posts such as yours. |

This is not right at all. Stop the name calling and apologize immediately. You claim he made you to sell cheap. Hope he forced you while at it. That he gave his advise doesn't mean he made you sell cheap. If it had gone the other way, would you praise him? At what point will you take responsibility for your actions and stop looking for who to blame. If you were looking for who to blame, you should have paid a financial advisor to advise you on stocks to sell and buy. SonofElElyonRet: Never said i wanted to commit suicide. Why would i ? I am a professional and have other sources of income. Also i didn't lose a dime. I bought at N18 and sold N29. I was somewhat depressed because i lost the opportunity to make a kill. I had a huge quantity of oando. You made me sell you servant of Satan who went about on this forum concretely spreading panic. It wasn't a case of you unintentionally giving a wrong advice but a case deliberate spreading of fear and panic. You are evil and shameless. I've moved on actually and I've even bought more shares in other companies and will still buy more. Shame on you.. |

Why deceive yourself about Esan and Benin. The worst you can think is thinking the Benin population is near that of ijaw. There is a reason they are the 4th largest tribe in Nigeria unlike the binis. I would like you to read history books and do not sedate yourself with all binis history. That tribe is just a minority in Nigeria. mr1759: what kind of stupid write up is this. do you even know ijaw? the ijaw in Benin here do not understand the ijaw in bayelsa why speaking yet you call all of them ijaw because they are aquatic in nature but me as Benin man I hear almost every thing Esan man speaks, who are u to say Esan and Benin are different , go and tell ooni of ife that ondo and osun are different depicts they have different languages outside the general yoruba they all agree to speak. back to your stupid claim there is bini community in Delta is called oza nogogo, also in Lagos though that one is scattered, there is Edo community in ondo etc
the population of benin ppl in Europe alone is 1,200000 (one million two hundred thousand) while bayelsa the home of ijaw the population is not 600,000 ( six hundred thousand ) in Benin the population of ijaw has never produced them a councillor in ovia southwest local government where erosion brought the ijaws to few years back |

I just did a Wikipedia search on gelegele found out its an ijaw community. If it's true the binis have no right to claim the place. Edo state is a multi tribal state so why claim gelegele kingdom. We all have to respect other tribe. It's bad enough that we are trading insults here instead of looking for ways to develop the nation. Hopefully with restructuring all these will end. |

WhatsApp has been hit by a major outage, stopping millions of people from using it around the world.
People couldn't send or receive messages using the Facebook-owned app, apparently because of a server problem. Service appears now to be gradually being restored.
The app didn't initially look broken, with chats and contacts able to load. |
